Thanks for sharing and all your time you've invested Manny!......Stay Up, Hard, and Healthy brother.....I have alot of catching up to do..........🔥🔥🔥❤️👍🏽💯
Interesting to see these various places that Berkowitz lay his hat and called 'home'. I often wondered about his frequent moves; most people move because of new employment, (travelling being the objective variable) but as for Berkowitz it seems he had an agenda that included terrorizing (anonymously, at best) his neighbors or landlords in some form. He never seemed to be without employment, so financial reasons do not seem to be a variable in his moves. Good job as always in your presentations!
I think it's just a simple matter of he got fed up with the noise he couldn't deal with. In Barnes it was his neighbors TV and the dogs. In Coligni it was the dogs and on Pine it was multiple dogs and loud neighbors. Dude couldn't handle it and just went off once he reached Pine Street. I am positive he thought that top floor apartment was gonna be the end of his problems, but they only continued because the problem was with him. Thanks Avenger. Stay tuned for Barnes Ave, Coligni and Pine.
Ah, yes! The mind of a lone psychopathic homicidal gunman will never cease to amaze. The dude goes bonkers over noise in apartment living and conjures (pun intended) a last ditch effort with a demon dog story to try and look even crazier than he inherently was.@@mannygrossman
Yes its a big myth that the Bronx is a crime ridden cesspool. Something i learned when moving here with my parents in my late teens in the early 1980's after growing up in the peaceful areas two family home neighborhoods of Brooklyn near Highland Park and the huge cemetery around it which also surrounded Franklin K Lane high school at 999 Jamaica ave. Interesting address to say the least. But yea moving to the Bronx was really nice with the Botanical Gardens, Fordham Road with CRAZY EDDIE and movie theatres as well as a movie theater just three blocks away where we lived at 167 street just a few blocks from Yankee Stadium. There was crime but it only effected one most times if you were involved in it. Change of environment can definitely make one sensitive to noise. I remember after years of being in the catskills and then moving back to the Bronx and it really effected me where i ended up having to use ear plugs and ear noise protectors since it was triggering my schizophrenia which i think David Berkowitz most likely suffered from. Also it can dull the emotions which may explain Berkowitz's outlook on death. Congratulations on getting inside the building Berkowitz lived at that. Major score and rather surprising they let you in but they probably have gotten alot of tourists which is becoming a thing again due to movie productions going on more than usual the past few years with superhero films going for that gritty look. Thanks Manny for the always great videos and good to see your in top form as always ☕
I think Berkowitz had a hero complex in addition to all the other crap that was wrong with him. He never was tested on the battlefield in Vietnam. He never became a professional cop or firefighter. Even when he volunteered as a first responder he didn’t seem to do anything noteworthy. It’s possible that him going on about seeing and “braving” all these horrible scenes is another attempt at making up for all his shortcomings.
In terms of why Berkowitz chose to go back to where he grew up to commit that crime: it has been proven that criminals often chose to commit their earliest crimes in environments where they feel most comfortable. Thought you may find this interesting.
It must be my small town frame of mind but I always imagined co op city as like single one level town houses or something because here in Halifax we have uniake square the pubs and mulgrave park co-op city is frigging huge
Excellent work Manny! Is Michelle Foreman still alive or living around NYC? I'm convinced Berkowitz has more victim's and started getting more sloppy/brazen as his violent sexual impulses & notoriety/depression grew out of control. Taking long pot shots from a rifle just wan' cutting it. He's like the Joker from DC Comics. 100 different origin stories and none of them 100% true.
New York looks great in Spring
It looks great any time of year when you’re not surrounded by the creeps the dead beats and the filthy around you 😂
Great research.
Thank you Commercial!
Thanks, Manny! Great, as always! Can’t wait for the next one!

I was hoping you’d make this video! Great stuff as always Many!
If you are talking in a genuine way and giving good info... being yourself... we don't care if the video is 10 hours long...
Dope video and tour of the area

Makes sense. A self soothing gesture

Much smaller versions of public housing
Co Op is really a self contained city within the Bronx.
If people can get up on the roof, your top floor apt. isn’t necessarily noise free!😅
tThat second massive school was originally James Monroe HS. PS77 was the school across the street.
Thank you. I should have had that location a bit tighter. I appreciate the comment.
Nice neighborhood I'd say.....
Just getting the notification now
Michelle Forman would be a good interview
I've tried. She wants no part of any of this.

Thanks Jayson. Yes, Foreman is alive and lives in NY, although not NYC.
