War is all about tech and industrial production of weapons, not soldiers toughness. Ofcourse it plays a role but if a war depended on that, the germans and japanese would definitely had won WW2

hand to hand combat has been a key aspect of modern combat since vietnam. The South Korean White Tiger Division was the most feared division in vietnam by the vietcong and that was due to their proficiency in traditional taekwondo. Hand to hand is essential in CQC. All special forces around the world will utilise some sort of hand to hand combat system. South Korea uses TKM the demonstration shown here is as in the name just a demonstration.
