About hardlex, I've been wearing my SRPD since 2020, and while the bracelet definitely shows signs of wear, the crystal doesn't have one scratch to be found!

I thought it was an automatic watch that would wind itself with movement. So, after bringing it in twice, I decided to manually wind it and let it run to see how long it would last. I’ve noticed that the power reserve only lasts four and a half hours. Is this normal? Or did I end up with a faulty watch? Thanks!

Variations on a theme. The white/silver dial one looks lovely. I bought one of the OG black dial, red GMT hand versions. But I sold it because, for me, it was too similar to my SSK009 and other Seiko divers. But that was just me - it was a really lovely watch!!

Thanks for the review Kieron 😎 The SSK330 dial reminds me of my SRPK25 less the cyclops and the Snoopy figure 🤔 plus this is a 41mm versus my 38mm 😁 so maybe the root beer and hunt down a bracelet with a solid clasp 🤔😎
At least the 4R34/35/36 movements have a hack and hand-winding capabilities unlike the 7S26 that was used in the previous generation Seiko 5 watches. I still don't like the 4 o'clock crown position though.
Man, they look great but I still don’t understand for nearly 500 USD msrp why can’t they include a sapphire crystal, just outrageous. (I have a few seikos in my collection that uses hardlex and by all means it’s a pretty good crystal but for nearly 500 bucks common sapphire should be the standard)
I used to love Seiko but the more Ive got into watches and watch collecting I've seen them cheap out time and time again , citizen on the other hand are doing what Seiko should of done years ago and with citizen you get more watch for your cash ,sad to say I don't think I'll buy another Seiko .
Those echo drive are great for a watch you don’t wear everyday. You can just pick them up and they will be at the right time and date with no fuss or resetting the time. A manual or auto will have stopped after a day or two of sitting still. A regular quartz will run out of batteries at some point in the year.
Liking the white. Looks silky. I have one of the originals. If I had to talk about an issue, it would probably be the bezel sculpt. A little bobbly and unrefined. Buuutttt I still love the watch. Value, steady amd quality. Its my daily knock about watch and it's taken everything that's been thrown at it

Hey Kieron,great review but unfortunately i dont like GMTs,if i need 2 know what time it is where my Family is around the world i just use my phone simple... Love Seiko as a brand,especially there Dress Watches.
I think they blew it on these models. The green is too dark and not as fun as a brighter green. The black one feels like a missed opportunity for a real root beer look. The white is nice, but just dell. Seiko always ALMOST gets watches right.
What Seiko has done here and I hate is that they have too many different fonts on the face. Each piece of text is a different font. It makes it look like zero thought was given to the design.
What people are not really saying about these case models is that the crown guard really digs into the wrist. I tried one and it really hurt. I do not recommend this case to anyone.
I’ve had plenty of these case designs, SKX, DressKX, GMT and never had any issue with the crown guards. I find them more comfortable than the majority of watches at 3 o clock

Honest question: how tightly do you wear your watch? I only ask bc this cushion case is widely regarded as one of the most comfortable cases.
