Budget RC's used to really have to compromise on several key aspects. Whether that be looks, build quality, overall specs... Maverick starts a new chapter for their brand with the Quantum 2! Under the HPI motherbrand, a full in-house design has been made for the next generation of Maverick branded RC's, combing high-level build quality with a friendly price tag, that will be suitable for people new to the hobby.
The Quantum 2 MT is a 10th scale monster truck and comes in a brushed or brushless version. The Flux brushless setup offers an 80A waterproof ESC, which takes a 3 cell LiPo battery, and combines this with a 3500kV motor. HD gears in the drivetrain and a 1.25Mod gearing system will take some serious abuse and ensure hours of fun. Key components in the chassis have been ungraded, like for example the hinge pin retainers, this are now made from aluminium. The Flux version receives an additional top brace to tie together the bulk heads and offer some extra rigidity, and the shock absorbers have updated seals and a softer spring rate to make for a smoother overall ride. The pillow ball hub system in the rear has been replaced by a single piece hub carrier which is more durable and smoother in the long run. Maverick has managed to offer a reliable and great looking truck, while keeping affordability in mind. All in all, a great RC to get started in the hobby!

Nice to see HPI is rising from the ashes. They have pretty much been non existent in the US as most major retailers and local hobby stores do not carry their products anymore. Parts support got so bad, they got dropped.

That truck looks awesome compared to the competition. More value for money. This is a true monster truck look with a HCG chassis unlike the granite and all the arrmas except the discontinued Nero line because of the traxxas lawsuit

Ok im new to this and im looking for something for myself and my young teen but i was looking for this and all i can find is the quantum flux 1 but the bit I've seen since it's not a very good one. So where can I buy the quantum 2 flux?
You need to wait for them to go on stock. Do NOT buy the first version. Worst purchase ever. Added up to 500 euros with repairs until I finally sold it. Plus the sadness of having to stop because it broke nearly every time. And I didn't even jump it..
