How to paint - ARRMA 1/7 FELONY - Classic colors!

Today I'm showing you how you can easily achieve a custom look for your Arrma Felony 1/7 RC car. The Felony is a stunning looking vehicle with the stock body, but sprucing up the look a bit is always fun! I'm using a Protoform Corvette C8 bodyshell with the additional parts that follow along to change the look of the Felony.
I adapted a classic Porsche 911 Vaillant paint scheme which was based on a rendering from @blackfishgraphics on Instagram to the C8, and with the swooping body lines in the rear it works surprisingly well. Never be afraid to use whatever paint scheme you find inspiring on your RC cars!

The fact that you do all of this with just a blade, a light, and some masking tape truly blows us all away. This is why you're the king of RC painting. Fantastic job, as per usual Chris. Out of curiosity, how often do you change blades?
Thanks Matt! Usually I can do an entire body with one blade, and I use that blade to score and snap the body for my next project. In this case I managed to chip the tip of the blade so half way through it needed a change, but it’s rare! If you do swap, do it right ahead of any clear film cuts. Those are prone to tears if the blade is duller. 😄🙌🏼🙌🏼

I like the think panel lines that gives the small details that indicates the doors. Gives it such a chef’s kiss to an already awesome paint job. I paint Gundam and those are always sweet to do in the end. Great job! 🙌

Very nice, I always enjoy a good paint video, and yours are the best! Once again a paint scheme that works incredibly well, those colours really compliment each other, looks great on the Arrma, although I prefer the older Corvettes, the C8 is just hurting my eyes, ha ha...
I know you're a Tamiya rattle can purist, but I found that using smoke in an airbrush is way easier when doing the windows, I can do much thinner coats, much more controlled.
You should do a run video with that beauty, too!

I’ve learnt a lot from your fantastic videos and although not got as far as cutting out logos and text in the masking yet every body I do is improving over my last (mainly 1/10 Tamiya’s) Peeling the clear film off at the end to reveal one’s efforts never gets old or any less exciting.

Im new to the channel, and rc's in general and I'm about to paint my first body.
Its a cr18-p rock van 1/18 scale rock crawler.
I was wondering if there's a specific brand of masking tape that you use?
I really want to add some stripes to break up the big flat van sides.

wish i could get the hang of cutting just the masking tape.i always undercut so lift the stencil or cut too hard and score the body to much or punch through the thinner sections!

Vaillant was no racing team but rather a sponsor for Kremer-Racing.
Vaillant still produces thermal heat pumps, flow heaters etc.
Also they are pronounced vaillant not valiant.
