Awesome shootout, TOTALLY spot on and EXACTLY my same experience with the Dementor V2 and Notorious V5. Kronos tires would help the traction on the Jambo quite a bit btw. I did find the long-term durability of the Dementor worse though, but they pretty much addressed all of my concerns on the '22 cars. Looking forward to the next shootout!

Yes VAS! I like this to be the New series. I value your inputs and opinions on both trucks. Two Similar stunt trucks with two different personalities and behave quite differently as well. TC is definitely on point with their slogan ' engineered to be the fastest' I don't know what tweaks they did to this max8 combo but is damn mental and I Love it!. LoL 😂. Kronos XTR vs Kraton EXB.
Love the idea of the RC shootout Vas. As much as you describe the differences verbally between these two RC's. Watching you driving is a very big tell on the differences. The Jambo looks like it's nuts!! Think either way you'd be on a winner like you said. Wonder what they'd be like switching wheels? Please, Please 1/8th buggy next. Would love to see a fresh perspective on my 3rd Fav RC.. the Typhon 6s against Corally's Radix. Buggies are where I got serious with RC's 30 years ago and love what's currently on offer. Really enjoyed this shootout. Great format. In the UK, I should point out that I can get a Jambo for £200 less than a V5 Notorious. That's a big difference! I remember you saying that 4S is probably a sweetspot for the Corally. What about 5S? On that point, why is 5S so rarely considered? It seems a lot of new trucks/truggies are a little wild on 6S.
Mix, having the notorious v5 6s stunt truck with all exb and rpm upgrades plus 30mm hex extensions each side = 60mm wider than a stock notorious makes a huge difference in handling. Also having a TALION v4 hobbywing 8s motor and 200a esc combo, gpm alloy upgrades on every part of the car it is insane, with also having a KRATON 6s with 180a esc combo alloy upgrade parts and accessories and all have stainless steel nut and bolts with m2c shock standoffs, double spring double dampened gpm shocks all round makes a huge difference. Great video review Vas, keep up the good work. Would love to see an on road rc review. 👍
Damn, I wished this popped off more than it did. Me personally, living in the U.S I'm going to go for the Team Corally - because it's fast and pretty durable, and looks very good. I hope for a good future with Team Corally as well and hope to see them succeed in the future!

I have the Tailon, Kraton and Notorious/Outcast. The Notorious/Outcast is my favorite trucks out of them. Love the short wheelbase. In fact I have 2 Outcast and 1 Notorious for myself and my 2 sons so we each have one. We love the look of the bodies as well. Then I bought the Jambo. Wow, all I can say is wow. The look of the truck is sick looking too. Love them both i don’t think I can take one over the other ……. Although I like the beefy/wide look of the Jambo tires I can say the Backflip tires on the Outcast/ Notorious make it handle better. They bite really well. The Jambo tires are good for drifting and sliding around
Great video, its good to see you shooting some videos every now and then. I think this team corrally needs belted tires just to get the right momentum for making back flips easily, i just bought my first v4 notorious and I’m so excited to make my first run shortly, and I thought to make one video and share with big thanks for you cause I made my decision based on your videos and reviews, really helpful.
You and me both. That's why I had to tell them to move and I was constantly looking around. Kids get excited and they want to get close to the action, but these cars at these speeds can do some serious damage, so I was getting a bit uncomfortable. I don't mind they watch, just need them to be safe.
On the Team Corally: "Beauuutiful Animal" -Steve Irwin I really like the comparison, it is much more difficult I'm sure but actually is more helpful than a solitary review. Wherever the camera is mounted it does muffle your voice quite a bit unless you speak up so that would help in your narration. Thank you!
Love the series, especially so with your expert opinion. We get too many unboxing with a maiden run videos nowadays, we need more in depth comparisons from a real veteran of the hobby, so thanks! Is your jumbo steering servo the 7220 or 7225? I had a v1 Kronos with the 7220 that died once I stiffened the diff oils, that servo had a lot -f issues from what I understand. I replaced it worh a 7225 which has been decent in the Kronos and my radix 6 v2.
Nice ,really enjoyed the comparison test . Both have interesting characters from basically stock , things to consider as a buyer. This type of information will be really useful. I wonder if you use the same RC on the cars (programable gas curve ) tame one and warm the other ?. More of the same please 👍.
I think using the same radio for both trucks might even the playing field. I used to think Radios were all the same and a waste of $$, I was mistaken. IMO I think it's one of the first major upgrades a person should do. How can a driver expect a vehicle to perform at its fullest if drivers inputs are lagging behind. Mid range transmitters (
I had same thing happen with my buggy at a track. Thought it would be more serious so didn''t try and fix and forfeited my last race and then realised later at home, how easy it was, just being that little grub screw. Knew it was diff related and I figured centre. back wheels would spin but centre diff sent more power to the front since it was disconected and alot easier.
Hi is that the SWB or the LWB Jambo. I do believe there is 2 variants. Would you think the LWB would be more stable? Also do you think the V5 Kraton 6S be just as fast as the Jambo?
The Jambo only comes in the SWB, there is no LWB TC car with the same name. The LWB cars are the Kronos, Kronos XTR, Punisher, Shogun, Muraco and recently the Kagama. The LWB cars will naturally be more stable due to the longer wheelbase. Both ARRMA and TC cars are capable of speeds over 100kph, however, it's very hard to reach those speeds with the SWB cars as they tend to lift the front end up and flip over before top speed is reached. That is a v2 corally. To be fair the 2022 models are coming out soon with a tower to tower brace a 7075 steering acherman plate and steering stiffener and hd pivot ball hubs. That is a v5 notrious Wich I own both. But thanks for the video.

My Notorious vs Kronos is very much the same as yours, my Kronos roller has the same power system as the Notorious. Runs great on 4s, nuts on 6s, the notorious is lacking all power on 4s. Still wouldn't want to get rid of either.
If you set the punch on the Notorious to 9 you will turn it into an absolute lunatic. You'll get standing backflips all day long and a ton of authority in the air.
Great video, can't wait to see more of these, I'd love to see the Hobao Hyper SSTE vs the Kraton or which ever has a closer relevancy to the Hyper. I know you don't have one but I'd love to see a face off between the Big Rock Crew Cab and the Maverick Quantum Flux +😎👍
summary at the end was a bit of a plot twist, thought the clips clearly showed the notorious was superior i mean you landed nearly every jump and it looked so smooth in the air. quite capable of modifying my RC's to be more punchy but handling like crap myself lol think the jambo needs a few more versions to refine itself.
Not sure how it's a plot twist, I simply explained how the Notorious was the nice car to drive and didn't feel as wild as the Jambo. This series isn't so much about which is the better car, but rather more about how different or similar they are.

You have to turn the turning ratio up all the way to get it to turn better. I’ve made that mistake and thought it was the truck.

Punch level could be ajusted,but ya arma for me!! But i prefer the teckno mt410 over all !!!!!!!!
Interesting. I had the Tekno MT410 and wasn't a fan, which is why I sold it. Controversially I preferred driving my ARRMA cars over the Tekno. 🤷🏼♂️

I guess that the Kronos tyres (which I have myself) would have more grip than the Jambo tyres on sand.

What's the punch setting on both vehicles? I have a v4 notorious, the power on mine is great. Standing backflips all day long!
I haven't touched the ESC punch settings on either car, so whatever they came with that's how I drove them.
Default punch is 4 on the V5 and you want 8 or 9 for standing backflips.
If you set the punch on the Notorious to 9 you will turn it into an absolute lunatic. You'll get standing backflips all day long and a ton of authority in the air.
