  • This is a project I completed in 2020 but only just got around to uploading so I didn't miss the Dainer Made #RubbishWood21 challenge.
This was built from pallet wood, scraps offered as kindling and old fence pailings that were deemed 'not worth it, not even as firewood' so I feel this meets the criteria nicely.

That's a cool one and perfectly suited to the pailings. Worth the time to get the arrangement right, looks much better than a square 🔨👍

I love that, I think a driftwood piano would also look really good too. If even more gnarly!

I would LOVE to make a full 88 key piano using full length pailings, it'd be difficult to find a wall big enough though haha

Cool project mate! I agree with you, just because it is rustic doesn't mean the nails need to be showing!

Really like the challenge theme - reusing and reclaiming that wood and making something of beauty out of it. Great job making piano wall art!

I think it looks pretty cool too! I love the ocd time spent placing the black keys! Doesn't matter how rustic, it always takes time, lots of time! The "little doovers" are called "d ring picture hangers." Nice rubbish wood project Ryan...you made us wait for it!

Nice project mate and really great use of old fence boards. That’s a classic look with the piano keys. Don’t you love free form woodworking, just to let your mind go for a change. Loved it, cheers!

I really like that wethered, worn-out wood you use for this project. And the fact that you use sawdust to mask the nail holes, your video goes full circle reusing sawdust. Awesome piece 👍👍
