And Eve Was Weak and Don’t Waste The Moon are my two favorite songs in the show. Shame of them for removing it. I would have demanded a refund. It just needs to be restated, a la Grease.
I had no idea Gene Anthony Ray had such a devoted fan-following. That was bizarre star-applause.
"Fame"
Wow. What possessed them to put this number right after "And Eve Was Weak"? They really should have tried to separate the weakest numbers (like this) from the stronger ones (the songs between Carrie & Margaret).

I don’t think this song is bad. It does have some lame lyrics (as do many other tunes), but the melody during the verses is quite catchy.
The song is pretty fun 80s realness to me, catchy melody and very vivid night life of teenagers.
Unfortunately the revised "Carrie" under consideration has dropped this tuneful number
This and "In" are the two best parts of the original run of Carrie. I hate that this was cut for the revival, but at the same time, I kind of see how this wouldn't work in the modern book. Also, how they could remove "And Eve Was Weak"? So sad
They did not remove “And Eve Was Weak”
They didn’t remove it but it definitely doesn’t have the same power because the orchestrations were such an amazing part of the show.

@nbearj aww, did they? i'd have liked to see what they'd do with different choreography...would you like sheet music to this song so you can sing it yourself? i can help you there if you'd like.
Yeah they are currently trying to get a reading together for a revised version that will hopefully be moved to Broadway so keep your fingers crossed
I love this show and Im so excited they are trying to bring it back!!
