How can anybody not know how much they earn? When I was teaching my salary for the last 11 years at one school, in Guangdong, was 6500 RMB a month for 16 classes a week. Sixteen hours is too few. However, I made double that , after tax, as I worked overtime due to teacher shortage. I saved enough to buy a 500,000 home and have enough in the bank to last me the next 20 years at least. Depends on the province as each one has its own cost of living index so the salaries reflect that.
I believe the dude making 60k RMB per month. Some teachers with side gigs can make 60-70k a month, after taxes. It is the right job for the right person.
Hi King Kwesi, this is an interesting topic. Hope you share your income as well. I wish you make great money in China. You are a such talent person and handsome man, you suppose to make a lot of money in China. Thank you, brother, best wish from Texas.

March 2023 I just got a job offer 25K in Shanghai Pudong and everyone told me the salary is too low to accept it and relocate to Shanghai at my own cost
I would suggest to ask more people their average salaries so we could really see what foreigners can earn in Shanghai, 60k is more on the high for a foreigner, I'm also sure that most foreigner don't do such a big salary
6k cny can’t even survive in Shanghai though, it just paid the bills, the rental fees is crazy there, work for a multinational company which has over 10k cny salary jobs will be much better if you’re an expat, or teaching English for the public school or international school not private school, because public schools and international schools as well has way better pay, a local private school usually is insecure and badly paid , please note far away from your coworkers who talk about the politics all the time, and don’t talk about politics to your students Btw China didn’t ban Preply, if you really can’t find any job there, teaching English online
Those people you asked don't know shit about China, only very few speak decent Chinese, let alone understand what China is really like behind the curtains. You should ask those who have at least stayed for two decades or more, who speak and write Chinese fluently. And then ask them how much they make monthly in average, people who're doing their own business. Like me, for example.
Kwesi interviewed the people available but you look for fault in that. It must be depressing looking at ordinary people chatting and looking for the bad.

@reducereuse have you moved to china?
White Natives earn a looot more money than us black non natives. Please cover that topic
thanks for the suggestion, i will surely work on it.
White earn more than local Chinese also. At least 3x or 5x more
I worked with African and Black Americans and they were paid the same as me and more than the Chinese workers. Depends on the industry I suppose.
Basically the Chinese native workers earns the lowest among them.
