This particular project is for demonstration purposes. It is critical that the person performing the procedure must be an ASME welder as well. How do you form the pie part to fit the dome form?

Usually they make a big flat disc, then stamp the heads using large head forming equipment. That is why heads are usually provided in standard sizes.
