Odnowione ulice Legionów i Cmentarna w Łodzi. Niebawem wrócą tam tramwaje./Renewed streets in Lodz.

PL: Filmowa relacja z końcowych prac na remontowanych ulicach Legionów, Cmentarnej i Romualda Mielczarskiego w Łodzi. Oprócz odnowionego torowiska tramwajowego, nowych chodników i miejsc parkingowych przybyło dużo zieleni w tym również brakujących tam wcześniej drzew. Wiele wyremontowanych kamienic przypomina najlepsze czasy tych ulic. Widać także nowe budynki. W wakacje na obie ulice mają powrócić tramwaje ale niestety tylko na wyremontowane odcinki które przedstawiłem na filmie. Natomiast ulica Mielczarskiego stała się tak modnym ostatnio w Łodzi woonerfem z uspokojonym ruchem. Miasto Łódź jako pierwsze w Polsce wprowadziło woonerfy i zdecydowanie przoduje w ilości tego typu rozwiązań. Woonerf (inaczej podwórzec miejski) to ulica w strefie zurbanizowanej, w której położono nacisk na wysoki poziom bezpieczeństwa, uspokojenie ruchu, atrakcyjność przestrzeni i funkcji komunikacyjnej z priorytetem dla pieszych i rowerzystów. Woonerf jest w założeniu przestrzenią publiczną, która łączy funkcje ulicy, deptaku, parkingu i miejsca spotkań mieszkańców. Nie ma tu tradycyjnego podziału przestrzeni między jezdnię i chodniki a zastosowanie elementów małej architektury zniechęca kierowców do ruchu tranzytowego, nie wyklucza jednak możliwości wprowadzenia komunikacji miejskiej. Woonerf pojawił się w latach 70. XX wieku w Holandii w reakcji na gwałtowny wzrost liczby samochodów w strefach wymagających szczególnej ochrony, m.in. w rejonie szkół i stref zamieszkania. On the other hand, Mielczarskiego Street has become a woonerf with traffic calming, so fashionable in Łódź recently. Łódź was the first city in Poland to introduce woonerfs and is by far the leader in the number of such solutions. A woonerf (also known as an urban courtyard) is a street in an urbanised area, where the emphasis is on a high level of safety, traffic calming, attractiveness of the space and the transport function with priority for pedestrians and cyclists. A woonerf is intended to be a public space that combines the functions of a street, pedestrian area, car park and meeting place for residents. There is no traditional division of space between carriageway and pavement, and the use of small architectural elements discourages drivers from using transit traffic, but does not exclude the possibility of introducing public transport. The woonerf emerged in the 1970s in the Netherlands as a reaction to the rapid increase in the number of cars in vulnerable areas, such as schools and residential zones.
