Great content. I’ve watched countless KDP UA-cam videos over the past couple of years but yours stands out as giving some interesting insights I haven’t heard before. Subbed.
Coloring books are very saturated market and finding a good idea for the next book is tough, and running adds for the coloring book can get very expensive. I have switched to eBooks easier to create and good ROI on the books.
I enjoy watching your new channel. I’d love to join your Early Readers Club. Just let me know where to sign up. I’d really love to see what you’ve found as your go-to method for getting reviews. What a struggle this has been, but I’m not giving up. Looking for effective, affordable and ethical ways to nail that side of KDP success! And now that Bookbeam has some great new keyword search tools (like Reverse ASIN), it would be great to see you walk thru that research process for finding magic on BB. Thanks and have a great November!
Going to be recording a video about reviews this week! Stay tuned :) I have yet to check out Bookbeam's reverse ASIN search. Perhaps I can compare it to Rocket's new Reverse ASIN as well.
On the “concentrate on getting 100-150 reviews”, I do not understand this idea. It is still up to customer to give a review….you cannot make them. Encourage, yes….you can put a call to action in your book, but inevitably it is still up to the customer to leave a review. How do you get those reviews??? Thank you for your time and information!
There are Facebook groups where you can give your book away for the recipient to read and review. I think there are websites for this as well, but I haven't checked into it.
I was publishing low/medium content books back then. I mostly sourced my material from canva templates, stock images, etc. back in those days. Today, I don't publish volume anymore, I focus more on the strategy mentioned in the end.
You sound exactly like me. I was desperate to start a side business after losing my job. I've so far published 20 books and none are selling. I took the first ones as a learning curve, but now that I can make better books, I want to see my sales start. Sadly, I can't afford Helium, but have Publisher Rocket. One question, because I'm too broke to even consider running ads, are you doing any marketing?
Yeah I do marketing. But have you tried getting reviews for any of your books? If theyre in good keywords, reviews should help some sales start coming in.
@@theaipublisher until I saw this video of yours, I never heard of getting reviews as a strategy. I know stuff like putting a QR code and asking for reviews at the front and back of the book. But my books haven't sold at all :'( and probably not on good keywords. As you say in another video, you wouldn't drop 20k in a biz unless you're sure you'll have success. I didn't want to get a software such as Publisher Rocket, unless I was sure that I would enjoy making books and build a habit of creating them... I'm now learning more about marketing and strategies. Subscribed to your channel and hope to learn more from you! Thank you!
@@beusin Yeah to get more sales, there are only two levers you can pull (after your book has been 100% optimized in keywords, cover, etc). These two levers are amazon ads and reviews. Best to do both. But yeah. Let me know if there's any videos you'd like me to make in the future! :)
Yeah, you can ask them to leave reviews but a better method is to use TOS compliant review platforms like Bookblaze. I mention this in my most recent video.
You can use it for multiple marketplaces but their best results come from the US. If you want more precise data from other markets, I can recommend more advanced software like Helium 10.
I don’t like this new AI generated book frenzy People used to write a book in couple of years based on amazing writing abilities and real life experiences. How can someone write 4 books per month. Based on what research? Just some keywords? That book has no valuable content. My brother wrote a book about AI he has been working on this book for almost 10 years being a professor at the university teaching it and doing tons of research. Can you please tell me who reads these books???
Hi I publish low and medium content books. Basically, these are journals, coloring books, cute facts books. These books take little to no time to make and you can get one done in a day or two. It's actually pretty simple and I'm getting 4.5 average ratings on Amazon from real customers. So I don't know, you tell me :)

This seems like a video to promote the links in the description more than the idea of making books to make money
How so?

It's possible to make it work but you need a lot of reviews and backlist to start seeing profits. That is, unless you do social media apparently
@@theaipublisher my books are producing around $500 a month so about $1500 in total under 20 reviews each no ads also and I have zero media post

Hi! You can use review platforms such as Bookblaze or Pubby to get a predictable and scalable amount of reviews for your books, TOS compliant :)
