She had already suffered from being mutilated and even if she hadn't she would rather die than let her daugther suffer a curse that has weakened and shamed her father for a millennia over the fears and paranoia of complete imbeciles who deserve worse than death. The Nazis were very obviously planning to kill Hope either way that they could have both known if they had just read Greta's mind with their physchic abilities. That season was all about plot armor for the villains and depowering charecters. Hope wouldn't have been restrained by magic seal chains as she has way too much magic and if Freya was able to easily break them with her power surely Hope who was much stronger even at 7 years old could do the same and yet she was somehow helples? Klaus and Hayley were also extremely nerfed. Marcel and Freya were idiots and Freya was ruined as a charecter in that season. Why didn't they kill Vincent I wonder?
