@Sai Yes, he was. Hey, you’re Mercedes’ friend, right? How are you? I was actually thinking about, when I first saw this video. Would you kindly be able to ask the original uploader where he got this video from, and who filmed it, please? I tried translating a message to him on Twitter, in Japanese, but he hasn’t responded to me, despite responding to others.
There must be more footage. At the very beginning, the video edits out part of Jeff’s greeting with the Japanese man’s (girlfriend?). It appears as though the uploader filmed this with a phone/video camera off of a television, based on the wavy lines on the screen.
Would this have been filmed for a televised news segment? That woman with the microphone makes me think that this was part of some news program. Perhaps she was part of a crew from MTV Japan, who I think filmed Jeff at the Liquid Room.
Jeff is acting like MJ here, unintentionally.

@@MojoPin1983 I met Jeff twice at the Record Store I managed. People forget that Grace was not a hit here but he told me it was selling well in France & Japan & he was happy about that.

@@MojoPin1983 Moby Disc " A Whale Of A Record Store " Santa Monica , CA. He was a shopper once & with a label rep once. I knew we had "used" (Promo) 💿 in the B section ! But he didn't say anything about it. Friendly & Very Knowledgeable. I sold him the first Verve LP " A Storm In Heaven " & a Seefeel album ! See Ya.

I imagine that this was from some television segment. This appears to have been filmed with a cell phone, or video camera, off of a television. I'll see if the original uploader has any more information to share.
I assume the mystery song was something he played while they addressed the kick drum issue.
