- Cam Newton was one of the most electric QB's we've ever seen. He is also one of the most confusing QB's in NFL history. Many people think he's overrated, and many people think he should still be in the league. So in this video we'll decide whether he was overrated, or underrated.

Look...as a Panthers fan I love Cam but I am not blind to his shortcomings. However, I will say that I loved his personality and leadership. He is misunderstood by fans but his teammates loved him. Also I notice fans trying to downplay his MVP season. He was magic that year. He was the best player in the NFL even losing his WR 1 in the preseason. That WR1 was Kelvin Benjamin...so he went 18-1 leading up to the superbowl with wrs that couldn't beat out Kelvin Benjamin for the top spot...think about that.
With Ted Ginn out, his WR2 was Devin Funchess and… others?
Cam and Olsen practically carried that offense.

Cam has more total touchdowns than Kurt Warner and Troy Aikman and those guys are "hofers"and terrible line his whole career. He's scored more than Drew Brees, Tom Brady, and Big Ben I'll leave that here. 11 more touchdowns to interceptions is great you are VERY misled on that. Has had a two hof careers. Carolina quit on him after he got hurt during playing his best football arguably something a real organization wouldn't do. When he came to new England bill did not know how to use him and build around him it was still around Brady. When he came back to Carolina he only had DJ Moore and the fourth worst oline and half way in his oc was fired.
Maybe in college that's a good ratio

People don't realize that outside of 88, and later on CMC, this man had basically no real threats as weapons. His WR1 was kelvin benjamin, that's no disrespect to him but he's like a WR2 at best.
Man i wish cam never got injured. Woulda been a first ballot hall of famer if it weren’t for injuries.

weapons, offensive coordinator, tough nfc back then all play a role in any quarterback play. Cam never complained about the poor receivers he had yet Aaron rodgers always complained and I am not saying that cam or rodgers were wrong but that is the facts. I think Cam wasnt the best qb in the league but he certainly was either elite or borderline elite

Not very good at all
I was never a big fan of Cam. To me he was Donovan McNabb: up to his Super Bowl appearance, he was a solid albeit wildly inconsistent QB and his SB season was an obvious outlier. After that SB appearance he got worse every season and never progressed as a passer.
