- David Tennant and Matt Smith trying to answer who their favourite Doctor Who monster is.
Sorry about them almost dropping out of view in this segment 😬
7th December 2019, Wales comic con, Telford
David: I think it would be wrong to have a favourite
Matt 1 second later: I do have a favourite
David: I’ll get my coat
@@JAProductions494 And then Matt starts to contemplate whether or not he actually has a favorite, and David shoots him smug grin.
literally knew Matt Smith was going to say weeping angels 😂 😂
Unusual Kmc Ikr, it looked like he had so much fun in that episode
Which is surprising as they took his 2 companions.
He used to really like the zygons, until he kissed one 😂
don't judge ;P
Had that problem with a girl once one kiss runied the attraction
Venom sacs in the tongue.
This is just 10 being annoyed with 11
They’re literally smiling and laughing with each other as two actors who have worked together and have worked in doing the same show who both recognize how talented each of them are
Its almost like they're the same people
Yeh right
I like how everyone refers them as the Doctor generations
@@SilentGAMER-c9r well I'm saying you could view this video as the 10th doctor just being annoyed with the 11th, but I get what you mean
The Midnight Entity. Also the villain in one of RTD's best episodes ever.
Dante Cruciani yes it always creeped me out of how the midnight entity could control someone however davids performance was amazing
@@gooseincrocs ikr, his facial expressions in the final moments of possession were phenomenal. The way he conveyed awerness and powerlessness at the same time. And of course, the fact that even him didn't know what it was and the episode ended with him still shocked and haunted brings this villain on a whole another level.
Agreed. I add some gravitas to the episode by my own head canon, by which the Midnight Entity is the Great Intelligence and the hostess is one of Clara's splinters (setting up/fulfilling a circuit with "The Name of the Doctor").
@@BDBDCT that's a nice one! The only thing that keeps me from accepting such a theory is that it would take away the mistery of the entity, thus depriving the story of so much of its intrigue (it would be still a great episode though).
I’d say that midnight IS the best episode of Doctor Who.
The silent library was the creepiest episode I've ever seen.
The silence in the library and forest of the dead are ok episode but I can't watch them with laughing at "hey who turned out the lights" lol
I have a really bad fear of the dark that I got under control, and that episode exacerbated it. I recently rewatched it because I thought I could take it, but... night lights, here we go.
Matt doesn't just blush, his whole face gets flushed, how adorable! :)
I have a few favourites, but lets say the Vashta nerada is one of them
Nick T it’s quite impressive I agree
Love it
Immediately thought of them
Mine is the weeping angel too. The doctor has never really defeated them. (It’s hard to defeat a rock). He mostly causes them to cease to exist or something.
Do you not think ceasing an enemy to exist is beating them?
callum hanbury he kinda got lucky with how the ship was orientated and turning off the artificial gravity. He outsmarts the other villains. He mostly figures out a lucky situation with the weeping angels.
@@benjaminlehman3221 yeah good point but you gotta give him points for quick thinking in an awful situation
I also like weeping angels. But, stone can’t be that strong can it? Just get a drill or something metal. That will destroy the weeping angels.
The random UA-camr sledgehammer is all you need mate
I met David at this con. He was honestly so lovely. So honoured to meet my favourite doctor
I need them in a movie together because they has great natural chemistry
Well do they have a 50 year anniversary episode for you
@@nikitamalikov6683 Ive seen the 50th
@@reecegregory742 well, they're in a movie together with great natural chemistry, there it is
@@nikitamalikov6683 I meant I want them in something else because I want them to work together again
The Cybermen, now that we know they're an inevitability of the human race. Otherwise, the Silence.
Almost inevitable if the doctor has any say.
The cyber men fucked me up as a child. I still have nightmares of them to this day.
A Salty Hoe nightmares in silver some would say
A Salty Hoe I always thought they were the least scary of all the monsters. The weeping angels and the french robot clock things fucked me up. Also the Trickster from Sarah Jayne was waaaay too scary for children’s television
You will become like us.
Weeping Angels are an amazing creation but even they have been overused. Just as the Daleks and Cybermen have been. Lost their fear factor.
Midnight entity was brilliant, as The Doctor had no idea what it was or what it could be.
I think ultimately the Master is my favourite. Davros a close second. Shout out to the Family of Blood also, and the Autons. Interestingly these four are monsters in a human sort of form. Says it all.
Oh and a special mention for,
"Are you my Mummy?"
In a show with almost 60 years of history, the writers have to walk a very fine line between giving us more of the classic, iconic baddies we love, without completely overusing them. A lot of times it seems like we get either way too much, or not nearly enough of many of the best monsters and villains.
Honestly I don't think it was overuse that killed the angels, but how they were used. Their first appearance in Matt's era throws extra bullshit into their power set every few minutes in the apparent hope that it'll make them more scary when really it just takes away from the value of the unique traits they already had. Then along comes Angels Take Manhattan and makes the fucking Statue of Liberty an angel. Moffat went for more and more spectacle with subsequent appearances of the angels when that's never been their core appeal as monsters.
I cant ever get the Impossible Planet satan out of my head.
I don't necessarily have a favourite, but I think The Boneless from the Capaldi era were very under rated.
Couldn't agree more!
Yeah
Mines gotta be the flood monster during Tennant’s run
I’m split between three: the Silence, the Weeping Angels, and the Mummy (on the orient express) have always intrigued me, though I have to say the Empty Child (are you my mummy?) and the Daleks come in a close second.
@@Zeljko-Savic flood monster?
slitheen are the ultimate villain out of every tv series ever
the midnight entity
The best part for me was hearing ( I presume ) you laughing which clearly demonstrates how much you love being there. You are adorable.
Thanks for saying, that's very nice to hear as I nearly didn't even upload them because of my laughter throughout 😅 Oh yes, I did indeed love it very much! Such a brilliant evening ❤ Thank you ☺️
Is this recent? Did anyone ask Matt Smith about how he was supposedly cast in Rise of Skywalker but he didn’t end up in the film??
I think that was just a rumor
Ronnie Cintron he was supposed to be in the original script they had but Disney didn’t like that script and they had to rewrite it. But he’s still on the cast list if you look it up.
@@gryotharian Oh I didn't know that thanks for clarifying =)
Peter Capaldi was supposed to have been in the first Maleficent movie but his part got cut out.
If you're getting your cast list from imdb then it might not be accurate, it's like Wikipedia in that anyone can add or change anything.
I would love to see these too appear as their Doctors again at any point of time! 😁
It is kind of strange how 9th and 11th never met Davros and the Master while 10th and 12th had big story arcs with them.
By this pattern one could assume that we're not gonna see either of them with 13th and we're gonna have to wait for 14th
Did you watch the special last night? If you aren't British then I won't spoil...just in case. Fucking great ending to an episode that, personally, dragged on a bit.
@@bantabury It's an improvement over S11 definitely, but other than the ending, it wasn't particularly great.
Did u watch the premiere of Season 12
Liam Patchett I feel like this reply to this comment is a spoiler
Josh Shaun how
Best monster is the silence for me, tied with the midnight entity. One turns your words and logic against you, and the other erases themselves from your memory and influences you from the shadows. Two of the best ideas the show ever had
The Silence scares me so much, the idea that someone can control you and that you will never know is terrifying to me.
1:43 is comic gold if you put it in the context of the different regenerations of The Doctor all getting together for afternoon tea and chatting about what they've gotten up to LOL
We so need another reunion for a Doctor Who special. Would be a lot of fun
1:21 "They were suddenly very orange, weren't they?"
...long silence while we're all thinking the same thing...
He actually says "certainly", not "suddenly", though David's accent is very strong on it.
@@BenM.Davies ahhh that makes so much more sense, thank you!
What was everyone thinking?
Beyond jealous you saw these two. Life would be complete.
I love her laugh can't lie
Lmao what it sounds so fake
Thank you 😂
@@iCore7Gaming yeah sorry, that's just how I laugh 😳 but it was also more a case of meaning to just smile big time ending up in awkward laughter 😬🤷♀️
@@TytteBale you could tell you were having a good time dw😂, your laugh puts a smile on my face
@@lifesabitch8099 Thank you, that's nice to hear ☺️ definitely had a brilliant time!! 😁
David: "I can't have a favorite! How could I have a favorite? It's too hard! Do you have one?" Me as Matt, with a smug grin immediately: "Dalek."
0:09 mum and dad talking about their favourite child
“I feel like it would be WRONG to have a favourite
*yeah*
Don’t you agree?
*Uh.. I DO have a favourite, actually..*
10 and 11 becoming best friends in just one episode.
"well...when I was a kid, they felt like an amazing piece of design. and then when we were actually standing in a field looking at one...I thought, 'maybe these have dated just a little bit.'" - DT
that's precisely how I felt when I went back and saw the special effects after not seeing Doctor Who since I was a kid (still love it though, and the effects are a part of the experience)
Weeping angels are def in my top 4 (my top 4 include the angels, the foretold mummy, emoji bots from smile and the toy maker)
I have to say that the Weeping Angels are one of my favorites. There's a bed and breakfast about a couple of blocks down from where I used to live and it had gargoyles and similar statues on the roof. Almost every time I went by that place, I kept an eye on the statues (I wasn't driving, don't worry 🙃) because they reminded me of the Weeping Angels. They are the only monsters in the nearly 40 years I've been a Whovian that have caused such a reaction.
My favourite is the entity from Midnight. Imo the most terrifying episode yet
Vashta Nerada, A highly intelligent swarm of entities that can perfectly camouflage in darkness, is extreme fast, can survive in any environment, and can perfectly mimic its pray and operate electronics, is a whole lot of nope. Also what ever the heck that Midnight Train Entity was, anything that beats the doctor and cannot be killed (it did not die, just lost its form) is a terrifying thing indeed.
No mention of the midnight entity? Possibly the most terrifying concept on the show. Every other monster is either over-explained to the point where it isn't scary anymore (daleks and Cybermen), or the doctor has enough knowledge to avert them or defeat them (weeping angels or the silence). The midnight entity made the doctor completely powerless, was never explained, and wasn't actually dealt with. He escaped by sheer luck. It's still out there on that planet, waiting for the next victim.
I somehow knew Matt would say the Weeping Angels!
Was at the wales comico where these guys were at
I can confirm davros was there and frickin amazing.
100% The Weeping angels are the best, interesting and most just-scare perfect monsters ever. I have never disliked any episode with them, and I looooooved the bigger role they had in Smith's Era; some of my favourite lines from 11 came from those episodes.
i miss them 🥺🥺
Lmao why is David flipping off the crowd at 0:55
Weeping angels are definitely up there.
Where's the Absorbaloff gang at?
green Entertainer was waiting to see this comment
Absorbaloff have me sooooo many nightmares
The Cybermen are my favorite monster! Though I will admit they are not always done well.
But the good Cybermen episodes are my favorite! The Tenth Planet is still one of my favorite!
If you wrap a weeping angel in something opaque, can it not move unhindered? Just poke a small hole in one of the hands and hide that hand behind its back. Boom. indestructible, incredibly fast and entirely unobserved monster
Their chemistry is amazing.
Cybermen terrify me because they slice you open when your awake.
I love that they were actually like "oh yeah the Zygones....look a bit shite"
"don't blink!"
February 26th 2020 Ah Memories
You feel like he walked on to the 50th set not knowing they were there until he saw the suit and pulled a captain holt:"....VINDICATIOOOOOOON!"
how did I miss this.. and i live in Wales.
aw pants... I missed last year, if I knew these two fabulous men were there I would have been first in line.
Where the flood monster gang at?
They are the most dangerous zombie i've ever seen in any movie or show
Flood gang rise up
Definitely. They were super overpowered and deadly. I love that episode.
FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE
Oh 11 missed his opportunity! 10 likes the zygons "yeah, venom sacs in the tongue..." lol
Two GREAT Doctor's ...
Weeping angels! 😁
Just don't blink! 😳
Weeping Angels is such a cop out
The silence and vashta nerada were pretty scary also
It’s unfortunate Matt never got to face Davros on screen
The two best doctors
Fuck yeah, Weeping Angels!
I don't like weeping angels because man, they are super creepy. They also killed Amy and Rory.
two words Weeping angel
I like the weeping angels too
The 2 best doctors
Which monsters villians companions would you like to return
Scariest monsters in my opinion are the weeping angle, so damn creepy! As for my favorite, I'm torn between the Daleks & Sontarans
Mr. Agent,
*Sonta Ha! Sonta Ha! Sonta Ha! *
Sorry if I spelled that wrong or if it’s the wrong monster!
@@dolphincat1446 Oh don't worry the spelling is fine & it's the right monster 😊
Mr. Agent, ok thanks. 🙃😄
I'm going outisde the usual ones people say (Daleks, Cybermen, Weeping Angels) but for me it would probabaly have to be the Ice Warriors or the Fisher King.
My favourite monster is David Tennant in The Waters of Mars
The weeping angels are the best monster hands down
I was expecting someone would mention the äbśørbàłøff
Mine were the weeping Angels as well. Then they moved on screen and it ruined them.
In terms of the concept and the special effects used, i much prefer the silence than the weeping angels.
‘Listen to the woman behind the camera laugh in the same rhythm for 2 minutes’
Yes, quite sorry for having enjoyed the panel I paid for 😳 I shall endeavour not to do so next time 👌
Tytteas I know, it was a stupid thing to say. Sorry and I’m glad you enjoyed it
No worries :) Thank you!
My favourite? Midnight.
I thought Davros was absolutely terrifying!! Reminded me of something out of Event Horizon or something 😆😆😆
Weeping angels
Couldn't let zygons be zygons
Biggest rule of q and a's no favourites
Love the Trixter
Clockwork Droids
@Tytteas Link to original video!
How do you mean? This is the original video 😊
I don’t have favourite monster but I have favourite villain. The Medling Monk
TBF, the original Zygons did look more convincing than the New series ones.
My favourite monster is the weeping angel to
My favourite is the Vashta Nerada
The Master
If this is Wales comic con, why was it held in Telford, England?
They needed a bigger venue as the event had outgrown it's original location in Wales and they found this to be the most suitable location. They did call the event Wales Comic Con: Telford Takeover 😊
They are actors. Their job was to be Dr Who. When an office worker goes to the pub, do they get asked about their day behind the desk ?
This is a panel about DW lmao
Anyone else had to look up they zygons?
The Eleventh Doctor never:
Met Davros
Met The Master
Had a decent Dalek story
Had a decent Cyberman story
😱
Jon S victory of the daleks was good, power ranger designs aside
Asylum of the Daleks is actually pretty good
Daleks , all the way
when was this recorded?

These are not sand shoes!
The Vashta Nerada
