I originally remember being 12 when I found out who his wife was and I was thinking “really? A guy looking like that and he’s married to her?” Many years later, now that I realize there’s more to love than looks, I really appreciate the two together. She was with him when he was a nobody, and even after he got extremely successful, she stuck by him, supported him and nothing went in the middle of the two. He still talks about her like he’s talking about his high school crush he just met, even though they’ve been together for a long time. I find that endearing, that in the midst of superficiality and corruption going on in Hollywood couples, these two have remained intact and happy to this day all these years later.
I think he was a main character in the very popular t v show Neighbours when they met. So if that’s true , he definitely wasn’t a nobody in Australia where they lived.

I love them both!!! Not to mention the reason why they decided to move to the US. The way they take a very good care of Ava and Oscar is so heart-warming. Pure love and kindness.. I pray that their family will always be happy.
Where was the strange part? Why because she is the older one? Why is it men can date women young enough to be their granddaughters but if the woman is older everyone finds it strange. I'm 11 years older than my husband..my dad is 11 years older than my mom. But no one finds that odd.
To be honest it comes down to the couple if they are happy then who cares but as for how people see it, while I don't agree with them, most men age very gracefully actually they even look better as they grow older while most women don't so if a man is 60 and has a 50 year old wife that would look like they can handle each other but flip the scenario and you might see why. I think you are all missing the point of what is "weird" about the couple. Age may play a factor but what most seem to have an issue with (but this video only hinted at) is the difference in physical attractiveness. In general -but especially in Hollywood- men tend to date/marry women that are equally or more attractive than they are. Even before the terrible plastic surgery, Furness was nowhere near pretty enough to deserve Jackman, in society's eyes. This is why they can never shake the rumor that Furness is Jackman's beard.
In summary, society sucks.
I am an average looking woman married to an average looking guy, we have a 17 year age difference, he is older - both of Caucasian descent - and we attract such vitriolic and nasty stares in public from strangers. I have no idea why! We are both medium maintenance and keep a low profile. We are both introverts and keep low a profile as possible. We don't have any children together. We both support ourselves. We don't do PDA apart from the occasional holding of hands.
Well considering the age gap. She had her time in the spot light and this is his time. When she was his age she had the best of both worlds. I knew about these things previously and I'm happy for them.

I like women who can balance out youthfulness and maturity. The latter is something that usually comes with age. I find it reassuring to see true stories about married couples who stay faithful despite a significant age gap. Julianne Moore and Bart Freudlich are another couple with a significant age difference and they're showing no signs of falling out of love.

What's the problem with Hugh having had long hair years back? Nicki, not all of us guys wear our hair short. I don't, and neither does a male model friend of mine. My hair is down to the top of my rump, and this friend I mentioned has even longer hair--it's to the bottom of his rump. I'm almost 60, and he's a few years younger.
