  • In this week's enlightening episode of ‪@BlackQueerTownHall‬, ‪@MissPeppermint247‬ and Bob the Drag Queen boldly venture into the intricate realm of Wealth. Brace yourself for a power-packed lineup of guests, starting with Brian Thompson (www.btfinancial.com), a tax attorney and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ at Brian Thompson Financial, who passionately advocates for LGBTQ entrepreneurs and delves into the pivotal importance of wealth-building. Next up, we're joined by the remarkable Dr. Nicole Truesdell (@drnicoletruesdell), an abolitionist, creative visionary, astrologer, and dreamer, as she fearlessly unpacks the art of deconstructing societal mindsets and paints a vivid picture of an emancipated world free from oppressive systems. Rounding out this stellar trio is the incomparable Maurice Harris (@bloomandplume), the artistic genius behind Bloom & Plume, who shares the profound struggles and triumphs in his journey towards building wealth in a nation historically set on disenfranchising the black community. Get ready for an episode that's as thought-provoking as it is empowering, as these brilliant voices challenge the status quo and pave the way for a brighter, more equitable future.

Thank you for this. Such a good conversation to check all the things that are forced upon us - capitalism, supremacy of whiteness, patriarchy, sexism via hetero-normalization. Every presenter and their story and expertise was engaging and fed the soul. ❤

Ms Pepperment saying what her opinion is about corporations are pure facts. Our effort to help isn't enough. Corporations have to do their part to make a real change!!!

I love how Pepermint points out the behavior of the ultra wealthy, i appreciated how Bob pointed out the tax evasion and pointing out how its not just work harder that makes the ultra rich. All this working hard just to put more money in one persons pocket.

“My life turned around, like 180, as soon as I got still. As soon as I got quiet.” That’s the stone I’m going to be polishing for a while.

Maurice was so right about the pandemic highlighting the fact that the system doesn't work for us. I think a lot of people felt that so hopefully we find a way to get things back on track and moving in the right direction again ❤

Now this is the Drag story time that Republicans don't want "the children" to learn about. Keep it up ladies and thank you for such an inspiring and insightful lesson for those who follow. 🙏❤

This was an amazing conversation, I would have added a bit about natural resources, and how a lack of access to good clean natural resources or the over extraction/overdevelopment of natural resources and spaces in our black communities. Capitalism exists on exploration, whether of people, labour, creativity, and among that list is definitely the planet.
