- Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story IMPOSSIBLE MODE! In this video, I check out a cheat code created by @Skelux a few years ago which makes enemy attacks twice as fast and makes enemies do double damage. This video only covers up to Plack Beach, but I will create more videos if there's interest!
Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story is my favorite video game. I think a lot of it comes down to nostalgia because, in retrospect, Dream Team probably does almost everything much better.
This mod came about a few years ago when I commissioned Skelux to create a battle editor for Bowser's Inside Story so I could create some videos on fighting multiple bosses at the same time or fighting bosses as the wrong characters. While poking around in memory, he found some values related to attack speed, and we agreed to change the commission to be for a hard mode mod. I tried streaming it a couple of years ago, but I couldn't figure out how to do the giant battles with an emulator. I think I've figured it out now, so I thought I may as well give it another shot!

Please do a whole series of this. I’m curious to see how much more difficult the later on stages of the game are
When I played this years ago, young gnome got stuck on the trash boss. I definitely was stuck on different bosses, but I couldn’t beat that until the remake came out.

@@ORelic You know what got me stuck, 5 year old me couldn't beat the carrot minigame and had a friend do it. But she was like "Well how about you do some of the story for me" and I did the train boss fight with giga Bowser like 3rd try. Then she thought I was a god at that boss and I guess I am because every time I replay the game I do it quite easily.

Never played the remake but this was my first and favorite Mario and Luigi game! I’d watch them if you made more of these!

This game was so unbelievably good, I remember playing it over the Christmas holidays, still have a DS lite and my original cartridge! Whole series please..? 👉👈
Honestly. Whenever I play the MnL series. I always forget Mario and Luigi are strong and weak at different things. So I always end up making them equally good and bad at everything. When I should lean into their strengths.
Also, the only stats that I think aren't entirely useful are Stache. Which just lets you get crits. And Speed. For the most part. You can ignore Speed. So long as you give a bit of attention to HP and Defense, Speed isn't useful. And that's if you are shit at dodging.
Yeah, I'm so bad at balancing stats. I do the same thing haha.,
I do the exact same thing with the stats!
Stauche is insanely useful at higher levels, big lucky in dream team makes lucky hits do double damage, and there is no leaning into strengths because it's extremely easy to get the max extra stat boost and you just go for what one has the highest number avaliable

Funny, this is my favorite Mario and Luigi game, but I don’t think it’s best VG material…
Edit: also, to me impossible mode would be playing the game the same way Chuggaaconroy did as a kid.

Those enemies attacking at high speed was oddly fun to watch. I kind of wonder if it might make certain attacks unavoidable. Just imagine how ridiculous Bowser X's Shy Guy attack would get. there's probably lots of others that could be insane as well.

I kinda have in mind to do a limited Dream Team randomizer but it wouldn't be anything that interesting lol, but I thought of randomizing the flags of the save files and having to try to get to the end of the game in a f*cked up Pi'illo Island, I guess
Id love to see more of this. Its nice to have Mario and Luigi stuff as I haven't seen any content on that series in a while.

As someone who played this game religiously. No… Bowser just does 2 damage normally.
Didn't expect to see Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story here and even less so an impossible mode, cool! Would love to see a full series of this, I'm really curious about the difficulty plus I just really like this game!

I prefer the 3ds graphics, at least, it was looking somewhat not disgusting (talking mostly about the backgrounds)

I got stuck in this game too. My point I got stuck though, was at the final battle, as it requires you to mash one of the face buttons fast and allot, which I have been and still, am very bad at. I had to pass my NDS to a classmate of mine back when I was in school, to do the button mashing part of the final battle, to even beat the game.
I got stuck at the part where you have to get the shell outfit for Mario and none of my siblings figured out either so we all speedran the game to try to get the fastest time to that part. It took me until like 5 years later when UA-cam became a popular thing and I looked it up that I was finally able to play through the whole game.
Inside story and partners in time are the best rpg Mario games cos it brings back so much nostalgia

I love this game! I only played it once when I was a kid not really knowing english that well and skipping the story pretty much but I played partners in time like gazillion times and I think it's my favorite mario game of all and Bowser inside story is basically the same (but better?) anyway, I'm really really really looking forward to this series

I prefer this version to the 3DS one, simply because of how they nerfed the Challenge Medal in the remake. It's not a DIY hard mode anymore, it really doesn't do anything. The new content, for me, is not worth what we lost.
The spiny guys in the trash pit do double damage and fall faster, they must have ate the red pepper from superstar saga

Ok I have to stop coming back to this video just to comment but one thing I find myself doing in the M&L games (Besides partners in time for some reason) I have Luigi be the beefiest in defense and HP sometimes stache points but that's Mario normally.

Yeah, that's what music I used. I had it on my computer still and it was easier than downloading the original OST haha.

I loved M&L Bower's Inside Story but I couldn't get far in the game because I got stuck in the pipe works area but the R button on my DS broke before I could figure it out and getting a new DS is very expensive
