The sad part about today is that people like Lewis and Toto have respect for him, but his own team and the kids who started watching over the past few years make a joke out of him.

People didn't like Vettel when he was at RB because he was spoilt, got lawyers involved with the team when he was not winning, complaining about other drivers and generally a brat. But since he went to Ferrari people seemed to like him more despite him cursing out Charlie Whiting on the radio, road raging into Lewis in Baku, and then blaming Ferrari because he made too many mistakes in 2018 to win the championship.
Shows that you can fool people by looking nice on camera.
Manusia Ganteng no that’s bullshit.. when you’re driving at 200 mph ur personality changes completely... you can’t hold what someone says whilst going wheel to wheel at that speed against them that’s retarded
@@manusiaganteng2753 I think it's not the camera, it's more a comparison of being inside or outside of the car. I don't accept that it's the speed either, those guys think at speeds I can only begin to comprehend on slow-mo reply. I think it's the racer, the winner and the pressure. I met Alonso's pit crew in Nice once, just after they came 4th at Monaco. I asked "how'd you do?" "Fourth." "Ah, not bad." The guy looked at me like I had just stolen his wife and murdered his kids. He is a winner. There is first. Nothing else. That look taught me a lot about winners. Anyway, Vettel, when he's racing he's like that, like Hamilton is a cry-baby-depress-head when he is struggling, but both are very decent, funny, intelligent and I believe very honest out of the car.
The man has so much respect for Ferrari and it sucks that they're treating him like this💔

It's just sad knowing that almost the whole paddock has respect for him, even Mercedes and Redbull, but his own team doesn't
And that is the exact reason he never won a title and has made so many mistakes lately. It’s plainly frustration. He was let down by a team that he had dreamt about winning with for years yet they have absolutely no enthusiasm towards him. Wasted opportunity due to the tinpot mushroom that runs the team.

If you've had Vettel and Alonso in your car and you haven't won any championships you can only look at yourselves. Ferrari need to innovate (fairly), develop and provide some quality cars for their drivers. Such a shame for the current driver's.

No. Being a pundit would be a disrespect to a driver of his calibre
1k subs equals 1k pushups It would not. Sebastian is already in the history books as one of the all time greats. He has the respect of everyone he works and competes with. His knowledge and humor would only make interviews and analysis’ that much more interesting. Everyone knows how much speed he’s got. And the race in Hungary only proved how much experience he has and how sharp he is on track.

@@pippo9830 tbf the torro rosso he won in would probably beat the 2020 Ferrari
Fattest White Guy ever you know if his 4 titles right?
For me, no driver has this down-to-earth and old school racing personality like Seb. He shows good friendship with his engineers, mechanics, and even reporters. Of course he has mistakes that make people hate him, but I think he's the one who always be himself and tries to connect the whole F1 community by caring this sport.
A great driver doesn't have to win all the time, but make people respect him in no time.
No matter where he end up, I'll follow him for sure.
What a lovely man Seb. Is' he is a well rounded human being and always so honest , such a shame he is having such poor success at Ferrari , do hope he can recover some of his genius next year with a team who treat him better.
@@mozie9316 So true. But for me, 2017 & 2018 are more heart-breaking than now. He's so close to make Ferrari back again before each summer. Especially I feel he changes a lot after leaving RBR then joins Ferrari. He brings so many passion to the team and tries to realises his childhood dream.
Hope he can race in WEC if not in Formula 1.
My thoughts too. I find Lewis to be a plastic show pony, So does Veronica Valle.
I have great respect for Martin Brundle as an interviewer. He displayed sensitivity and empathy which is so rarely seen in the media anymore. We all know Ferrari have absolutely lowballed Seb. He deserved better.
In all honesty I’ve never been a ‘fan’ of Sebastian Vettel. There was always someone else I enjoyed rooting for. But there’s NO denying his talent obviously and all he’s accomplished. Admittedly though, watching this interview it dawns on me that it would be really really difficult not to like this guy. I forget sometimes that these aren’t just ‘a part’ that bolts into the car - these are people... and this is a good one. I hope no matter what happens to Seb or where he ends up, that he gets as much joy as he can out of something he CLEARLY loves and respects.
All the best to you, Sebastian. As my driver has decided to become a pseudo-politician-activist - I might just be rooting for you this season. 👍🏼👏🏼

Standing up to racism isn't political! Standing up to racism isn't activism! Trying to make people aware of how it feels to be racially oppressed isn't politics. Trying to change perceptions about black people, open up opportunities to black people without them having to feel as lesser beings isn't political. Opening up opportunities to black people and allowing them to feel safe, welcome and normal isn't political. Unlearning the unconscious and in many instances conscious bias is not political.
I don't agree that there should be an expectation for the other drivers to kneel, however, as a gesture it would be nice if they were unified in their support of equality.
It's exhausting that people actually think racism is about politics. People lose their lives simply because of the colour of their skin. Think about that.
Enzo Radford “a problem where there isn’t one”? Go out and get informed my man
I have such huge respect for Seb, what he has achieved, and how he conducts himself. I hope it all works out for the best for him.
Vettel’s English is superb, probably better than mine! It’s incredible how it sounds like his native language
He most definitely sounds German and not native English 🤣
MxM_Prime as a german that cringes at almost every other english speaking german i can say his accent is very subtle in comparison to most other people. But im sure we can attribute that to him being in an international business for decades. I dont think he speaks a lot of german anywhere apart from home

When you listen to Seb saying: «a lot of people have given so much [so] whatever might be my feelings about it, I owe them respect and give them everything I can» and then you remember Ferrari forgot about in him all together in Spain.

Watching what Mercedes B car...or...Racing Point...is able to do, Vettel would fit nicely on the team, and seek some podiums and wins again.
And championships from 2022!
It all depends if Racing Point will actually improve their car or just make some stupid little changes. They better not copy Mercedes again.
@@swapnilnayak2449 only if they can produce a strong car themselves. I hope they do, vettel winning for Aston Martin would be awesome

Depends on FIA's decisions on Renault protests, will FIA decide RP car is legal or not.

As impressive as Vettel's stats are in my view they come second to his sportsmanship and ethics.
One of the all time greatest of the F1.
As an F1 fan it will be sad to see him go whenever that happens.
Don't be sad, Seb. Alonso never won a championship with Ferrari, either.
Because Vettel beat him lol
Thats sad too, theyre both all time greats and ended up the same way, 2 "title challenges" with the same result leaving the team with a bitter taste in their mouth...

So was Vettel in 2017 and 2018..

Anyway Seb confirms himself as probably the nicest driver on the grid, it's a shame how Ferrari treated him, and even after that he didn't criticize them (some people really expected that he could drop some "scoop" about Ferrari?). I really hope that he found another spot, it would be nice to see him back at RBR.
What was Ferrari supposed to do? He cost them 2018 constructors. And didn't get any drivers title out of two good years. It's time to move on. They are preparing a new lineup for 2022 and they want to give Sainz a year of experience before that.
Watch as Alonso comes back at 59
Stratowind it’s much deeper that seb dropped the title, it’s not all his fault

Seb has been and will always be one of my favorites. I think it’s his humility that sets him apart.
Wonderful interview, two very articulate, intelligent and passionate people talking honestly and openly with a great admiration and chemistry for eachother. I genuinely feel that Brundle is the best at his job and there is nobody that can do what he does in his position as good as he does. And Sebastian is a massively likeable character with an incredible F1 career to be proud of and i really hope we see him for more years to come in F1.
Brundle and Seb feel like good friends. It feels like you're listening to a podcast.
Someone give Seb a mask that fits! He's having a job trying to keep it on.
It's driving me nuts watching it, Ferrari can't even make a mask that works, let alone a decent race car 😂
Everyone: Why is the mask not staying ON?
Ferrari: We don't know, the simulation and wind-tunnel data showed it stuck.
He deserves so much nore respect, he is a nice dude off track and genuinely cares about people around him. Hopes he goes to a team that would give him their full support
Kissing a girl, vs driving a F1 car for a living. I’d take the car every day.
Life provides many lessons. Seb is just rolling with it, and learning from them. He may not be winning on the track, but he is in life.

Seb is too good to stay at Ferrari I'm actually glad he's leaving. It will hopefully return him to the racer he once was.
He really wants to be in the Red Bull. Classy interview

Something about this interview made me teary eyed ;(
I reckon Sky are gathering material for their tribute film when he retires. It is such an injustice if he's kicked out of F1 while Grosjean remains.
Mostly the love and respect he has for Michael
seeing the dissapointment/pain in his eyes while being asked about his ferrari period made me tear up a little

Such a gentleman. If he leaves F1 will be messed up.
