After my lower back injury I switched from a Roadking to a F3-S Special Series and I am now back to riding and its one of the best choices I made. I would recommend the side fender LED turn signals from Sling Mods to give you extra side visibility in traffic.
I cannot find your other video explaining what to add behind your front grill (when you took it apart) from keeping bugs/flying insects from getting inside it. Can you please share again or explain what you added behind your grill to prevent damage. Thanks!
Sure thing. It is called Pet Screen at Lowes. The video I took down was using Garden weed barrier and was too restrictive. I found out once the ambient temps rose high enough moving into summer last year. I did not want to keep bad info out there, so I pulled the video. The Pet Screen is a plastic mesh that is much thicker than normal nylon screening and has been working great.
Looks great, brother. I have currently had a Ryker for 2 yrs and I’m trading it for this exact same model this coming Thursday. Down payment has been made. Night and day difference for me. Stay safe.
I was torn between a Ryker and this one. Big difference in price between the two. At the end of the day, the 1330cc Rotax with a non-CVT transmission, and the trunk won the day. Only thing I wish this one had was the shaft drive like on the Ryker. Congrats on the upgrade. You're going to like it.
19,999. I got mine yesterday. Price tag is more and it really comes down to what you want. You can drive Ryker much more aggressively but if you’re going to go long distance, you need the comfort seat. I’m 6’2 260. The spyder fits me better and I’m more comfortable taking my wife on it.
Congrats, I am prepping for the F3-S, possibly the Spec Ed as well. Only holdup is we're now talking about buying a house, so may have to get the Can Am end of the year or next year. Spyder definitely better for longer trips than the Ryker.
All I can tell you is be prepared to spend a lot of time on the roads. I 've already got 500 miles on mine in two rides. It's just so much fun to ride. I never thought anything could be more fun than a motorcycle.
When your ride was delivered via Uship did you purchase their extra cargo insurance? I am in the same boat now in having my F3 delivered via Uship and wonder if paying extra for their cargo insurance is worth it. Thanks!
Hi Hughes. I did not. I got the VIN from the dealer before UShip touched the bike and the full coverage insurance policy I purchased on the motorcycle covered damage in transit for me.
So im on the fence between the F3-s and the 2022 sea to sky model. I wanted something sporty like your bike but also wanted power steering. My question to you is if this bike has power steering? By the way I'm so excited for you. Thank you for your video
Looks great, however that’s easy for me to say, I have the exact same one. Except I don’t have any accessories yet. Planning on doing some mods over the winter, as soon as I pick what kind of heated I’m gonna get for my garage. It gets pretty darn cold here in the Midwest. 🥶🥶🥶🥶
If you so get one, you'll like it. I'm well into my new CanAm rider experience and I'm liking it more each day. This is coming from a hardcore sportbike rider of 20+ years.
Congrats on your Spyder! I'm thinking of getting the same one - where did you purchase it in Virginia? Asking since I'm in Maryland and wondering which dealer you went to.
Hi Keith. Motomember in Purcellville, VA. Ask for Paul in the Trike Dept. Awesome guy. Never met him face to face but he was so good at taking care of me as a customer, I'd highly recommend him. From start to finish, even after the sale, he was there for me. www.motomember.com/
@@Bananimal65 Ahh! That's what I thought! Went there a couple months ago to start the shopping process. I think Paul was there but with another customer, so we talked with Zeb. Baltimore shop closer for me, but I think Purcellville may be where I buy. Thanks much for the information and enjoy your ride! Hope to join you out there soon...
Yes I do. I wasn't sure about it because it kinda makes the bike look a little funky if you are used to super clean naked bikes, but it's worth its weight in gold. I wouldn't ride without it. I just installed the Can-Am adjustable backrest for my passenger. That thing is big. It's not the removable one, so it will take more time to take it on and off the bike. The removable one has been on back-order since April, so I hade to get the more $$$$ one, which kinda sucks.
Yeah, that's the down side. Not too bad though as new Speed Triple will set you back $18.5K. I got my F3-S SS for 19K plus some fees. Right at about 21.5K taxes and all. That's less than the Triumph Rocket III I was considering. Before taxes on it too!
@@Bananimal65 Bro trade that triple for the new Rocket 3! I have a 2022 Rocket 3r limited Black! I have the 2017 Can Am daytona edition and it is a great commuter! I added the two brothers slip on exhaust to it. Its loud as hell and gives it a boost in power. Also changed the air filter to the K&N which gives it a boost too! Enjoy, I laugh when guys ask me why I ride three instead of two wheels. First thing I tell them don't knock this until you try it and I also ride two wheels.
@@rocket3man371 I've been looking at them. I do like the Rocket quite a bit. The Triple is sold. Had a guy come down from Atlanta and buy it. Ironic that the S3 is going to live on the mountain roads I used to ride on in north, GA. Wish I was going with it. I really miss the mountain roads out there. They are epic.
Congratulations brother welcome to The Spyder Family ... I agree with everything you said! I've also got a Sports bike but I decided to get a Can-Am cause they're a little bit safer ... You don't have the added Risk of Dropping it. Your F3 looks Badass ... I'll swap you Subs if you like 👍 Beanie
That was a big piece of it too. Dropping it. I spent a lot of years on sport bikes in the N. Georgia mountains with great roads. Moved back home to SE Louisiana and the roads are crap. I simply can't use the Triumph Speed Triple for what it is meant for. Sure it is fun to ride, but I'd be doing some serious law breaking around here to have fun on it. And well, who needs that at my age? There are only a few roads around here where you might be able to get a knee down. Most of the roads are substandard sweepers with gravel and other loose debris. Especially after storms. So, I figured it would be better to just eliminate that issue by going with three wheels. As a two-wheeled rider, I think my perceptions of the Spyder were just that, perceptions. We'll see how it holds up when I start beating on it in the twisties. You have a new subscriber.
@@Bananimal65 I know where you're coming from brother ... I reckon we're around the same era. I've been Ryding Motorcycles since I was at school ... Over 40yrs now. I just subbed ... Can-Am Rocks 👍 Beanie
Congrats, you're going to love it! I have a 2018 F3S and i upgraded all the lights, "they" see me now!
I added LED fog lights and upgraded the headlights to LED on my 2017 Daytona, also added back trunk and hard bags.
Oh, I've been adding lights. I'll be posting another vid once I get all my add-ons done
Great video!!! Please keep making more of these!
Congratulations! Plus you get to hit the HOV lane like a BOSS!
Cool ride, got rid off my Triumph tiger 1200 xrt 2019 for a Spyder sea to sky can't wait for my delivery, enjoy mate
That is so sweet. Seriously considering getting one.
Do it! I'm really not missing my sport bike right now. I thought I would.

I really hope next year they’ll make these shaft driven
that will add weight and complexity, not to mention a power drain. Belts are fine if they're designed correctly.
