Euros isnt even exciting in the Group stages when you know that almost every good team is going ti go through. Copa group stages are going to be madness as apart from Argentina, Uruguay, Brasil and Colombia almost all other teams are pretty much on the same level and can beat each other.

Why would you be looking hopeful for Copa America. The countries in South America are vets when it comes to playing football, Canada are still babies in this sport, plus you play in Concacaf not good for preparation for any tournament outside of the Concacaf federation.

People are easily sleeping on what Colombia can do and people keep assuming that Colombia can't top their group and edge out Brazil. Not only that but Uruguay was lucky to tie against Colombia at home when Colombia missed SO MANY GOALS during that qualifiers match. I honestly can't see Colombia reaching anything less than the finals considering how much better form they are especially while on an crazy streak against so many good teams.

Dorival isn't anything wonderful, but he's better than you think. Those losses against Uruguay and Colombia were both with the wet pancake of the previous manager, Fernando Diniz. Same dude who managed to draw against Venezuela. Dorival got a totally demoralized squad and guided us to a 3-3 draw with Spain in a match where the ref was doing everything they could for Spain to win, and then we beat England around 3/4 days later

I hate to point this out, but the whole point of Dorival Jr. is that he is a boring choice.
Before Dorival Brazil had Diniz, who focused on an atacking relational style that looked like, at the same time, a throwback to 1960s brazilian football and modern passing football. The exciting Diniz could not make a functioning Brazil squad after months of trials.
So the solution is to bring the most boring coach possible, Dorival will simply look at what he has, draw the most simple system that fits all his stars and play. This could have horrible results (think Felipão 2014) but could also be enough to win a title, even if with uninspiring play (Ironically, Felipão in 2002 was really contested).
