I prefer the traditional Winchester oil finish to the sprayed-on high-gloss plastic finishes some makers use. It's easy to touch up with a little carnauba wax. High-gloss poly shows scratches, doesn't touch-up well, and is a lot of work to refinish.
During the disassembly video you said you didn’t think there would be enough footage to make a video. Then you “assemble” the gun without showing 80% of the actual assembly. I know you know what you are doing, I just wish I did.
The main difference is that the stock is made from a higher grade wood and the barrel has a different contour to it. Aside from that the super grade has two screw sling studs vs the screw in studs on the featherweight, and the whole thing just has a bit better fit and finish to it.
@@ArtIsaacson I am interested in your knowledge, now I am sure that with a Go Pro they will be much better. Congratulations, I'm a fan of Argentina. Best regards
The finish is what it is. Pre 64 mod 70's are legendary.

Nice work
Nothing quite like the sound of model 70 bolt being worked!
That is the correct rear sight some of them had the flip up like that and some had the semi buck horn type.
Nice work!

Do you clean all your guns with motor oil or just for parts?
beautiful
Bummer man, I wanted to see the trigger assembly reinstall. :/
My winchester m70 safety Is stuck in fire position any idea ?? Can't find any video
You didn't show the ejector installation or how you put the trigger assembly back
Why is it so hard to find a reassembly video no one wants to disassemble their gun
Last time I check anything going through your hand hurts like hell
Whats the difference between a Model 70 featherweight and a supergrade?

From the video, the only thing that can be seen is the hands and the hammer, maybe on some finger. It hurts, it does not show what is necessary.
Since this video was made we purchased a GoPro camera to give us a better angle. Our new videos will give a much better view. Thanks for the feedback.
