Love the video ! Not a lot of UV Slider step by step videos and this was helpful, I just picked up one today after 20 years of using and Axcel. Great job , Thank you! Yes, it is absolutely worth every penny!
Good video. When I set up a sight, I shoot at a horizontal electrical tape line (not a dot). The line is much easier to aim at, you don't have to worry about windage.
Ever have any issue making windage adjustments but the arrows keep staying in the same spot? My arrows keep shooting right. No matter which way I turn my dial. Idk what to do
That sounds like it could be a few issues going on and might not be your sight. Is you rest setup properly? Could also be your arrows. Or even an axis adjustment. Or be a draw length issue combined with peep adjustment. But personally no issues with windage adjustment.
@tipsyrippers finally got it! The bow is level. I just had to keep clicking it clockwise for it to eventually get lined up. Was surprised of how much I had to move it. But appreciate the reply!
I’m not sure what you’re asking. Can you explain a little further? Are you referring to the sight tape plate or the dovetail mount that attaches to the scope? You don’t have to remove the housing to move the sight tape plate. Just a few screws and sliding.
Oh okay, yea good point! I think William was referring to sliding the plate and keeping it in position while you tighten the screws to the plate. I think just using a piece of tape could work too. I think his main concern was when you tighten something using a screw, it can force that tiny plate up just a hair. So if you have someone handy. Just ask them for help to hold it in place. Just wasn’t sure if you were making a suggestion or asking a legit question. My apologies.
Before you put on your calibration sight tape. Find your 20 yard first. Then put it on. Then find your 60. That way your not having to keep moving it up and down.
Good tip! That’s what I would do as well. I tried my best to point that out when referencing starting closer and working your way back. But I didn’t realize that I didn’t say specifically and it could’ve been conflicting when William stated about moving the sight tape up so much. So thanks for the catch !
I don't know why it's way off. When I sighted in for 60, it was tape #18. I followed the instructions exactly, and something is not right. Was I supposed to adjust the metal strip after finding my number?
As Matt stated, find your twenty first. It’s best to even put a piece of tape vertically and horizontally across the board to make sure your windage adjustments are 100 percent on. Then you back up to 60 yards. Your 60 yards is just as important as your 20. Because if you just shoot a few and their on. And a few and they are way off. That could mean a lot of factors coming into play. This could be purely human error. As I said before shoot a lot of arrows. So you know for sure that 60 is spot on. You honestly could use different corresponding yardage points. If you are a lot off, I’m assuming that you may not have it dialed in enough at 60. If this is your first time with a slider, you may notice that 60 is a really hard yardage to dial in because once you go past 40 yards you’re fighting the elements, steadiness, fatigue, etc. I would suggest if it’s that far off, to just make your own sight tape for the time being and then correspond that one to one they have. Those sight tapes aren’t always 100 percent for you and your setup. I’ve switched from multiple in just as season because they were just off a little.
@tipsyrippers I was shooting sub one group of about 20 arrows, so i kinda figured I was probably good. After I lined up the 20, 30, and 40, do I need to crank the dial up to those pointers to verify?
Yea, i mean how far off are you? You said a lot but you’re sure you picked the right tape? And were you using a range finder ? What’s the poundage and draw length of your bow ?
@@tipsyrippers You showed sighting everything in except the install and sighting in or explaining how the bonus pin indicator functions and how to use it.
@kdubxl1200n no problem, I’m sorry I missed a few things on the video. Maybe I’ll try a recap and a more in depth video. So for the fourth indicator (double pin) you will use a t6 bit to take off the indicator housing off. You will then replace the 30 yard pin indicator with the double pin indicator. So now your 30 yard and well it should be roughly 60 yards depending on your setup for your bottom vertical pin. It should match up as you use your slider. Hope that helps !
Glad to hear. I feel like that’s not a bad choice at all. As much as I like the metal tapes, you run into that a ton with those, Not finding the perfect one. Glad you got it sighted in though!
@@tipsyrippers I’ve had 3 sites in my short time getting into bows and it’s the same thing to me. Brush over the directions and learn the basics then get to shooting where it’s hitting at your 20 or 30 then keep going. Match up a site tape or make your own. Everything is an opinion from what I’ve learned. Thanks for the vid!
You messed up the last part of the tape and pin set up. You line your sight tape up to 60 yards, then put your middle pin to 30 yards and adjust the bottom and top pins to 20 and 40 yards.

Thank you! Good tip. I actually tried that the last time I sighted in my spot hogg and prefer it much more. Nice little tricks of the trade.
I was intimidated sighting in this sight when I bought it but it was incredibly easy and straight forward.
Yea it’s pretty easy! Glad you got it sighted in !

Why didn’t you take the scope housing off to move the plate?
