Toyota/Lexus Cracked Dashboards Information: In this video we give you the latest information on all the cracked dashboards and melted dashboards from Toyota on Lexus vehicles. We explain how the Lexus Customer Service Program ZLZ, which is a special extended warranty works for the repair of the melted dashboards and cracked dashboards that many Lexus owners discovered on their late model vehicles. Lexus began to notify dealers of this second warranty fix for this issue in September 2018.
But after March 31, 2021, you can no longer get your cracked dashboard repaired for free at your local Lexus dealership. This is the last chance we know of for you to get your free Lexus cracked dash repair. Don't delay getting your cracked dashboard repair request in to your local Lexus dealer.
Don't confuse what is happening, this is not a Lexus cracked dash recall, this is a Lexus Warranty Enhancement ZLZ program solely to cover the Lexus cracked dashboard repair on your covered Lexus model year car in the list below. This is not to be confused with the similar Lexus melting dashboard and cracked dashboard issue. That previous Lexus Warranty Enhancement ZLD program expired in 2017. Likewise if you have the Toyota melting dashboard, they also had a similar Toyota melting dashboard fix, but that too has expired as of 2017.

This is not a Lexus cracked dashboard recall!
We hear from owners with melted dashboards who are the 2nd or third owner, and it's unfortunately too late, because if the first owner did not find out about the enhanced warranty repair for the melted dashboard, and the warranty period expired in 2017, then you are out of luck. You are stuck with your cracked dash or melted dash. So is your Toyota Camry dashboard melting? It is likely too late for Toyota to cover your Camry dashboard melting.

Thank you so much for this information!! I was completely unaware of this. I have a 2001 Lexus LS430. The inside is pristine but the dash is covered from end to end in hundreds of blisters. Do I have any recourse? Thank you so much again!

Just got the 07 ES350 a month ago, unfortunately melting sticky at the front. Looks like I missed the deadline.. and I don't get why they excluded the 07 from the warranty. What's weird is the original owner looks like he tried to take good care of the car, so I don't know why he didn't entertain the warranty. I actual found his contact info in the car, maybe I should ask him. Lol

The 2nd gen RX is one of the best CUVs ever made apart from the cracking dash. The 3mzfe is a solid engine but the 2GR-FE is even more solid
I am in the middle of this with Lexus trying to get my dash and interior door panels replaced under the "sticky dash" issue for my 2012 IS250. I don't have the ZLZ type number, but it currently ends on 8/14/2022.
Missed the first warranty for my 07 IS. Now I have to get a grandma rug cover for the melted dash.

My dash just started cracking. Saw your video and asked about repair. No luck what so ever. I also never got a notification. If there is a problem, there shouldn’t be a time limit to fix. Would Better Business Bureau help? I am angry!
GX470 in your photos is not on the list. Is there another program for GX470 cracked dash?

@@carbuying Okay, so I have an appointment this coming Monday. I had my friend make the appointment because she doesn't know cars and incredibly vague about why I needed to get my car looked at. She said, I was the 3rd owner and I wanted to have my transmission fluid checked. I'll also bring the NHTSA papers with me when I arrive. I hope this works.
@@carbuying I got it covered! Five days before the ZLZ campaign finishes! They're replacing my console box, console box rear panel, glove box, instrument panel, LF interior door panel, lower instrument panel, LR interior door panel, RF interior door panel, and the RR interior door panel. I did what you said and ask for written confirmation as well. Thanks for the tips Jeff!

How to respond to the 9LH campaign? I never received the letter, it's about replacing a VVTi oil line that's known to leak at the rubber joint and cause engine damage if not caught in time due to oil leaking everywhere in minutes while driving. I never received a letter, they are claiming I need the letter (I only called over the phone to 2 dealerships and lexus corporate telling them I do not feel comfortable even driving my vehicle down to lexus because what if it starts leaking lol /:

Yes the earlier program ended in 2017 in March. But it's disturbing that you didn't get any letters so that says to me that corporate does not have your email address or mailing address but it is the mailing address is where they send the letters to. Don't just assume that your dealer has your current address in that there for Lexus has your address. You need to register your car with their corporate site and it's a good idea to check every six months to a year to see if there's any new warranties issued or anything like that by calling corporate sometimes they do is just don't seem to know anything or don't want to bother with it or anything like that all they want to do is collect money for performing service on your car
It is May 2021, I missed this video... my car has the dashboard cracked, now even the panel is chipping leaving exposed sharp edges very dangerous., any suggestions?
Unfortunately there was nothing anybody can do because once that deadline passed Lexus is just unbelievably stubborn not giving anybody coverage
Is there any extension of this offer. I applied under the old warranty this month as my dash just cracked this month. I was told by Lexus that they would not honor my claim under the ZLD I was told that I had to have a crack to get the offer and that the ZLD offer ended 2017 they did not offer any other offer to me. It is now August 2021 and this new offer I just heard of is expired as of March 31, 2021? Is there any alternative for people like me that just found out?

You might be out of luck, but I would still check with the dealer, because things can change, they might have added more cars. Don't waste time you have until March 31!

My vehicle “ 2012 is250 awd” was shot up with a bullet going thru the top of the dash leaving the foam exposed it’s a slight graze maybe a 1/4th inch deep I was wondering if there’s any recalls still available for my vehicle
why is there no Toyota recall? vehicles are identical...
There might be one, we don't know. It was very difficult to find this information on the Lexus. But the first time around in 2015 on the ZLD warranty, Toyota had many models in the mix as well. We recommend you show up at your Toyota dealer and ask the service manager about this and show them the PDF file we linked to showing it came from Toyota.
What if we never recieved this letter?
Unfortunately, I have been hearing from people for many years now about this that they have never received any notice from Lexus about this. Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do because whether or not you received a notice the extended warranty they gave for this issue expired in 2017. There could be a number of reasons why people didn't get notified maybe they moved in so corporate Lexus did not have the most current address who knows.
