i cannot get over how grown up your kids are, they are an absolute credit to you meg, they are the double of you, especially avery, you are doing an amazing job meg (and the other moms on this channel), all your children are amazing.
As a 31 year old with no children, I think it's really great that you're teaching them how to prepare/plan meals for themselves at such an early age. I grew up in an asian household and my Mom also had a daycare in our home so all of this was done for us all the time, even into our teenage years, because she always wanted to make sure we had food readily available. so now as an adult, I don't like grocery shopping, cooking or doing anything to make/prep food for myself and there's times where I see it as a chore. So yeah I think this episode of WUMs is actually very important. Also I've been watching WUMs since the channel launched and it is insane to see how mature and grown up all the kids are it's insane
Avery has grown so much, I remember her being a toddler! I love seeing how much everyone has grown. Avery and Presley has developed into gorgeous young ladies, and all the boys have become so charming ❤
As a 37yr old mom of two (ages 6 and 2) I am finding so many gems on these kinds of videos. The sports equipment packing video was so helpful, and because of it my daughter is more responsible for her stuff for each activity. Please keep making these videos for newer parents like myself who need all the help we can get!!! At some point, can you do a video about phones, screen time, social media use for children. Maybe provide information about how to deal with different families' access or rules regarding phones. My friend has a grade 5 child whose friends record tik toks with their parent's permission (and supervision). It would be helpful to see how different families involve children in the decision making process for using a phone, apps, etc.
This is how it works in my family: My parents invite us to the store if we want to go, if not we are required to make a list of snacks and foods that we want so that we have things we want in our house. Then when breakfast comes around there is y’all cereal for my brother and bagels or bread for toast as well as eggs for me. Then, when we were young, my dad would make our sandwich and cut our apple slices for us while we would pick our snacks from the snack cabinet. Since 4th grade though, we’ve been able to make our breakfast and lunch completely on our own for school. My brother and I usually wake our dad up around 7:45 with his coffee and then we leave for school by 8
Back to school meal hack: make the kids do it, themselves! Love this! We are working on this, as well. My oldest two are 12 and 9. It seems like more work to make them do it themselves but it teaches them independence.
This is so cool 😀 I wish they had amazon fresh stores in central California . I’m a farmers wife and I would love to do all my grocery shopping at an Amazon fresh store! I love teaching our kids where our food comes from before it makes it to the grocery store. So cool that the carts have their own scanners 🤩 that would make shopping so much more fun for the kids and get them involved
Tips for some parents: It’s easier to make lunches the night before and store them in the fridge over night! Also gives you a little sleep in😉and it doesn’t hurt for the kids to make their own lunches every now and then.
My family always had a seperate cupboard for school snacks so it was easy to grab. We had to have a main (leftovers, sandwich etc) at least 1 fruit, a drink and no more than 1 of each kind of snack (granola bar, fruit snack, pudding etc). Also if the kids cant wait until they get home to get a snack keep some non-perishable snacks in your car and just refill every week
I wish my kids would make breakfast and lunch by themselves. Apparently my 12 yr old says he could but I make it better 🙄 my 7 yr old makes lunches for her and her 5 yr old brother by herself with the help from me. The 5 yr old helps too. Definitely helpful when we have things on hand that they all like to eat.
I love ur tips, cant wait to use them❤❤🥰🥰 it is amazing that u take so much time to test these tips and film them💛 i always wait for ur new videos and utilise them in some ways🤪 always a pleasure to watch! All ur kids have grown so much and i bet they will be great moms!!😂
Can’t wait for the Amazon Fresh near our house to open! My boys are probably at the age that I can enlist them to help but even asking them to fill their water cups gets a lot of pushback and groaning. One way I save time is I try to pack as much of their lunches the night before as possible.
Another tip for school mornings is to pack lunches the night before and put them in the fridge overnight. That way the kids have one less thing to do in the morning
I didn’t do the dry run but wish I had. I let my tween sleep in till 11 during the summer, and boy, those first few days of getting up at 6:30 were rough. He is adjusting, though! 😅
As a long time viewer of your channel, watching your videos feels like watching my friends/siblings grow up with me :,) (I’m sorry if this sounds creepy)
How do you get them to go shopping. My 7 year old loves to but 12 year old refuses. We don’t have an Amazon store but I feel he should learn to grocery shopping.
For laundry just take there phone then say do the laundry then they will do it so they can get there iPad or phone or anything back that what I did to my kids and it worked
Just different to see feom a fons perpective😂we make our own breakfast, someone makes it for my brother he’s 6 but soon he’ll make his own, its not hard to take some bread and a fruit

Been watching since I was like 8 or 9 and now I’m 16 😂. Always love your videos 💕💕
Avery’s gotten so tall!!! I remember when you made videos showing what you packed for her lunch in kindergarten!!

To make the morning smoother you should get the kids to make their lunches before bed
