- Smash Bros, but when a fighter is defeated, his/her's roster spot is taken over by the winner. The fighter that eventually takes over the entire roster wins
Shout out to @Deansworldyt for the inspiration for this video idea
Thanks for watching!
When it comes to Fire Emblem, the huge conquering empire never stands a chance against the tiny nation
lol why is this so accurate
Robin lived long enough to see himself become the villain

Tomorrow is the day of reckoning
This really taught me about manifest destiny for APUSH
@shashankmuralidharan8710 and the US thinking about imperializing Cuba and what not in APUSH
ALSO how was the exam
Research does show that Byleth is the best CPU at killing other CPUs, so this was my prediction
Really? Honestly I thought they were all equal lol
@@JohnnyWonder12 that's far from the case. For example, the AI rarely takes advantage of the combo ability of Sheik. The AI does best with characters that simulaniously dish out good damage and knockback while having a good recovery. Speed and combo ability rarely matters (unless it's Kazuya). Byleth is excellent in both damaging opponents and recovery and also has DLC privilege, so they are easily one of their best characters.
Interesting
@@JohnnyWonder12 From my experience, Terry, Byleth, and Kazuya seem to be the best CPUs, at least at fighting each other.
@@JohnnyWonder12nah it's super unbalanced
I love how for the entire time, as everyone else is gaining and taking over each other's territories, Byleth just looks so bored and done with all this

Byleth sleeping through the war, comming in at the very end and winning is suprisingly in character.
Pretty worthy runner-up considering he beat decisively the CPU's main (Kazuya) and then kept it up with another huge string of Ws
Robin honestly deserved to win more than Byleth 😂

Byleth won by doing almost nothing lmao

8:06 “Some Sun with plenty of clouds” legit killed me 😭
Great video! Always great to see some good content on the platform!
I did a massive CPU bracket a few years ago spanning over 6 months that Byleth won. That CPU is built different I swear
Honestly, if he does a sequel, have the taken over characters be able to fight for the empire they are under, (and perhaps for some drama, even be able to rebel if the arrow points to the leader of the empire)
And then we animated the show thing
This idea is amazing!
That rebel idea is incredible
@@Normalboy961 thanks
To make it not last a million years, you could require characters to point towards their own empire twice to rebel.
11:33 Fitting matchup since Richter and Robin share the same English VA, that being David Vincent 🔥
"Battle of Vincent" sounds like a real war battle
This was a real treat to have on my recommended 😂
I'm glad it popped up 😂

Genuinely a really fun video, I love the stuff like this. Well done.
(Also I am proud of Captain Falcon, he got pretty far and had a solid run)
Glad you enjoyed it! Captain Falcon did pretty well, too bad he couldn't make it further
He called ness’ back air fair, and kazuya’s demon god fists and up smash
Yeah because that’s just the worst crime a person can commit
Oh no I guess we’re all fucked now
This made me quit competitive
I didn't fact check some of the moves 😂
This is one of the most entertaining Smash Bros videos I’ve ever seen, I’d love to see others try this
Love the concept, love your energy, I'd love to get more imperialism in my life
Amazing man!!!! Please do a sequel!!!! I want my boy Luigi to take home the crown!!!!
Coming later this week :)
This is like that game show, the floor, cool!
Honestly I've never heard of it, but after looking into it, this is literally exactly that 😂
LETS GOOOOO BYLETH
Ngl, it would've been really funny if Random participated as the last fighter and challenged the winner. But this vid was great and hillarious!
Keep them coming.
This was so much fun!!! I want to see a second one 😊
This was a really fun video! One suggestion, maybe when a character defeats someone they take as many spots as they own. That way small owners have to win consistently to come back, and big owners can still take a lot with a win
Oh so like if a character with 5 spaces defeats someone else, that character can only take up to 5 spaces? Correct me if I'm wrong because I'm a little confused 😅
Very interesting video, I saw the title and almost scrolled past but clicked on it to see what it was. Ended up being worth the watch.
Yeah the title can be a bit confusing since the idea is so unique, but I'm glad you ended up enjoying it
This must have taken so long!
It definitely took a while to play all the matches and update the roster 😅
But it was well worth it
Vey underrated channel you deserve more subs
Byleth coming out of nowhere and killing the white-haired person who's been dominating an imperial war is surprisingly lore-accurate
This is such an interesting concept, I'm gonna figure out a way to play like this with my friends.
"After 10 thousand years, Mario moved!"
"Nevermind he lost"
There should be a power creep where the more characters youve taken over the more stocks they start off with, i’m not sure if that’s possible with handicap but could be interesting
It shouldnt be one to one maybe just whoever had more gets one more stock or something
Straight to the point and funny commentary. Well-earned subscribe. Also worth noting that Robin ans Richter share voice actors, so Robin literally defeated himself just to lose to Byleth.
This was such a fun video lol id be down for a sequel
Appreciate it! It was pretty fun to make so it'll probably happen eventually
I honestly love the idea of this, I love smash bros and I love history battle Royales, so I am going to do this and report my results!
This is just the history of the USA. Robin was small but quickly rose up only to lose a war against some random country that is barely even on the map (north vietnam)
As soon as I heard the rules I instantly rooted for my GOAT Olimar, but as soon as you mentioned you also rooted for him I knew he was done for. I blame you for that (Great vid though)
imagine losing a war of imperialism, with all your land and experience, to some guy who has captured 3 tiles
You should’ve had Byleth using the Edelgard skin(the red and white one). Y’know, since she’s the emperor and all, and she tries to conquer the entire continent.
all it took was Vault Boy dressed as Makoto Yuki to get rid of Terry
Imagine having to win several matches to get to this point and then a 13 year old kid who hasnt played a single match spawns in and eliminates you by spamming- Trust me, i know how this feels
Luigi getting the first space:now what?
*dies by a bird 😂*
When it comes to choosing the next direction, I think it should be: roll for the next character, roll for direction, if the rolled character has been dominated then continue in the direction until you reach a new opponent territory, if you reach the end of the map in that direction without encountering an opponent territory then re-roll for direction
- Wait, it's all Fire Emblem?
- Always has been
This ending is pretty accurate to the franchise that won lol
I was cheering for byleth the whole time, I was not disappointed
Steve just chilling at the beginning
Like he just didn’t want to participate so he just TNT himself
funny because canonically that laat game is exactly how it wouldve went
I've never played a fire emblem game but I'll take your word for it
Generally a really good video! Editing is great, and your commentary was good! Good concept too.
Couple of suggestions if you plan to do this again:
I feel like characters that have more spaces should be more powerful. Or those that have fought more matches should be more powerful. It would be more predictable, but you wouldn't have as crazy upsets like you had at the end there. Either using Amiibo (which is horribly expensive admittedly) or having the lesser opponent have a higher percentage or cpu level would work. Ideally the more powerful opponent would have a stock for each space, but that would get out of hand and us impossible without mods.
Secondly, I recommend stacking echo fighters. That way the roster screen in more square. You don't have to do this obviously, but it could better represent a battlefield.
Lastly, use a randomizer that locks to the 8 main directions. I couldn't tell sometimes, but it looked like most fights were "up right" or "down left", never just "up" or "left". Honestly even just using the 4 cardinal directions alone might be better to avoid weird diagonal captures like with Olimar and Luigi.
I say these things because I did actually enjoy the video and would love to see this idea improved upon! The idea of a huge war being waged on the smash roster is fun and original! I hope to see you grow and you've earned a subscriber from me!
First off, I really appreciate the kind words :]
Second, thank you for all these suggestions, the upsets and the weird arrow pointing was something I was aware of but didn't put too much thought into, but now that I've gotten several comments like these, I plan to implement a lot of these ideas to make the sequel even better. Thanks for watching!
@@JohnnyWonder12 Thank YOU for replying and making a good video! And yeah I didn't want to come off as being harsh. I just want this to be as good as it can be!
This was really cool. I might try this with my friends where we bet on which characters we think will win. I also can imagine a lot of slight rule variations to make things more interesting. Maybe is the arrow points to the edge of the map it loops around. So if someone on top gets an arrow pointing up they go up against someone on the bottom. Or you could do team matches where you always select a character from the entire roster even if they’ve been eliminated, but they’ll be on a team with their captain.
The arrow idea is super interesting 👀
And teams are something I hope to do eventually
12:00 - I like how Robin is just staring down at Byleth like, “Puny mortal.”
Also, I was cheering for either Robin or Sora.
I have an awesome idea. Redo this BUT if someone has conquered additional characters and then attacks again, then their conquered characters can also participate in the duel as teammates. To balance this, a team can only bring up to 4 teammates (chosen randomly from the list of their conquered characters that CAN attack this turn) and whoever those teammates can attack (that aren't already part of the team) then also join the duel as opponents
Additionally, the characters leading the team have to participate in an attack if they can. That means that if they lose while participating then they lose their entire team. Otherwise if their team is compromised of only teammates and then it is not immediately conquered if they lose, they just lose those teammates.
This can lead to up to 3 vs 2 vs 1 or 4 vs 4 fights
To win in the endgame will require teams to breach the defenses of teams and strike at their leader
LInking taking out ganon is wild. Ganon normally is stupidly good is cpu vs cpu.
It would be cool if next time you did this you somehow buffed the fighter with the larger empire in each battle, like with spirits or the buff/debuff fighter feature. Or like spirits that gave you items or something. I liked the video tho
Yo, this sounds like a fun party game idea. Get the homies together, get some grid paper and colored pencils. We start our territory on our mains/secondaries. Spin the wheel to claim a character. Then after a while when we spin and it lands on someone else's territory, they fight to see who gets the spot, but both players can only use a character within their territory. To keep track, outline the grid paper and color in each corresponding square with their color.
Maybe for the next one you should do some way to reward characters for already having a lot of spaces. Maybe they’d start with an extra stock, or their opponent could have a handicap, or in a custom smash only one of the characters has some sort of advantage. Really fun video still!
Actually I've already done that! I uploaded a sequel to this recently and I added some new rules to benefit fighters with more space, hopefully you can check it out :)
HAHA I ROOTED FOR BYLETH AT THE BEGINNING WHEN SONIC GOT OUT, I DIDN'T EXPECTED THAT LOLL
It makes sense. Robin was confirmed to be the best CPU at one point. Byleth must be better though. It's a sad day to be a Robin fanboy.
As a Ness main (yes i spam PK Fire, what are you gonna do about that), im proud of my boy for going in the top 6
Ness had a good run 👏
Sora beating Cloud is the most Kingdom Hearts thing out there
I’ve done a bunch of cpu tournaments just for fun with double elimination so that’s like over 160 matches for each tournament… Byleth has not only won but come in second 4 different times that cpu is on another level
I was recommended this video while working on an imperialism study guide.
Coincidence? I think not
6:18 yes he is in fact a starter in Z-A(it wasn’t confirmed but he was on the Pokémon card pack design like the first game so safe to assume) either way it’s still extremely crazy he guessed that.
You should do this again but instead of CPUs you play with friends
This is surprisingly clever, underrated, thank you algorithm ❤😂
As someone who has run a LOT of Level 9 CPU tournaments, some of these fights were huge upsets in my experience. Especially Robin taking out Kazuya. But from the beginning, I knew it was gonna be Byleth. For some reason, Byleth level 9 CPU is absolutely cracked (probably the large and powerful hitboxes) to the point where I had to ban Byleth multiple times.
Awesome video!
Byleth and Kazuya are gonna be big problems for everyone else when I do more of these in the future 😂
Thanks for watching!
When you asked who we thought was going to win I waited for the end so I can write more then a name… let’s go sora for going far
Sir, was surrounded good now we can PK in every direction
This was actually pretty entertaining. It was 100% the commentary
“Some Sun with, plenty of clouds.” Got me dying😂
Byleth played as few matches as physically possible while Robin was throwing hands with everyone
Here's an idea for next time: After selecting a fighter, put all the surrounding fighers on a wheel and give it a spin.
this is how you make CPU fights more entertaining
MY GUY IS SWEAR YOU'RE SO FUNNY LMAO
8:06
I'M LITERALLY DYING RN
9:13
I NEED 911
You have a great idea here but I think a good way to make it better is have two or three people commenting these fights to add a sense of competition especially if you make bets with each other.
If you ever do this again it would be cool to have a rare chance of the opponent being a random character instead of chosen by direction. That way dead characters can have another chance or others can get colonies, which is very in spirit with imperialism
My boy Robin was popping off here, and they came so close
4:05 why did I laugh so hard at this?
Personally, I would’ve been happy with either Robin or Byleth winning, but that last match made me freak out because of the 4 space win. Congrats Byleth
Byleth multiplied his space by nearly 22x at the end there 😂
This is creative. Maybe I'll make my own in a different fighting game.
You should do it! This idea could really be done in any video game with a roster and CPUs
SPOILER BLOCKER
You should rule it that if they get more space they get a bigger handicap, the thing you find in the settings. This could make matches really interesting and some pretty quick but i think it makes some sense.
This is such a cool concept but this must have been such a pain to make 😂
I spent an entire day spinning an arrow and watching computers fight each other 😂
@@JohnnyWonder12well, at least you got a sub
When I think about it, I’m under the impression that having a lot of “territory” is actually bad for the CPU. All it does is make them more likely to get into another battle and each battle comes with the chance they’ll lose and get knocked out. All that matters is that they win the final battle, every other win is just staving off a lose, so it would probably be ideal to not fight as much as possible to avoid the risk of losing
Wow, it's fitting that in a fully A.I controlled competition, the results are super underwhelming. Still, fun video
“Robin’s comically large empire VS Byleth’s 4 spaces” is just the American Revolution
2:58 Don’t think I didn’t miss this mistake lmao. Ridley should have faced Palutena and because of this blunder, he got spared from fairly losing to Dedede. Shoulda just given Ridley’s space to Dedede anyways and created a funny disjointed owned area. Not really complaining though because my boy did really well for two seconds anyways lol
I don't remember exactly but I think Ridley already had Paul's space from an earlier match, which is why he fought King Dedede there
The whole time I was waiting for Villager to be chosen only to hear 3:43 LET'S GO FELLOW VILLY !! #villygang
I was also excited.. then he got first rounded 😔
Crazy how the least wanted character was the one to take it all
Funny that Robin and Byleth, two very skilled tacticians in their home series, were the last left standing.
This was a very cool video idea. Unique and creative
i waited so long for my man young link just for this to happen :( 4:44
then everything changed when the fire emblem attacked
Imagine the character that everyone was disappointed with him joining Smash, and won it all
9:23 - 9:43 and this, ladies and gentleman, This is why I love Sora & Kingdom Hearts!
10:51 AND THEN YOU HAD TO RUIN IT! I was starting to like you, Fallout Vault Guy...
11:26 I did experience that, but with a paper ball, a mechanical pencil close to the eye, and a Gatorade bottle to the back of my head...
This actually sounds like an incredibly fun (if not the most fair) way to do a tournament lmao. Not even specifically a smash tournament, just any tournament by putting the competitors into a grid
