    you mention many good points Mohan esp. the DOs and DONTs. Your vast experience in obvious in the many stories you tell.
    I was taught that the MC is a BRIDGE and bridges are always a "shortcut". You have outlined all the shortcuts needed to introduce a speaker; I don't know of a more complete and thorough summary of everything that's required as an emcee.
