I’ve been recommending the game to GaMetal for YEARS and its finally in. Though I wanted One Last Trial, I’m just glad the game got in itself, deserves a spotlight.

But damn, Denis Akbulut (the original composer) and HAGANE / Keisuke Hayase (who composed the music for "One Step From Eden" and was also a guest composer for CrossCode) really set the bars high when it came to their music. The latter gets special mention for composing "One Last Trial" in such a way that it leads off from "Mysterious Place" before saying, "You have braved many challenges, but can you face the gods?" That's how it feels.
This is really nice; in the actual game, once you start getting stronger & stuff dies fast, it can sometimes be hard to stay in battle long enough to hear the battle themes in full.😂❤
Damn, I barely heard the start of the remix and I'm already unleashing full combos. That makes me want to go back in CrossCode and use the remix for EVEN MORE INTENSE FIGHTS! This is amazing!

As someone who recently streamed CrossCode, playing it for the first time ever, HOO BOY did seeing this thumbnail pop up in my feed make me excited lmao. CrossCode's battle theme is forever burned into my brain now and _thank you so much_ for starting with it first and THEN going into the S-Rank theme 'cause goddamn, one is not complete without the other. For how simple CrossCode's combat is, there's a weird, fun satisfaction to holding onto that S-rank and just, going to town, obliterating enemies for as long as you can. The music certainly helps, and absolutely sells it lol. "How about a little live and let live, Lea?!" SmugLea.

I've played literally thousands and thousands of games, and CrossCode is one of the VERY FEW (like, single digit numbers) that I would give a perfect score of 10/10 to. Awesome cover dude. Crosscode is such a hidden gem. The story, graphics, the platforming and puzzles, how damn fun the combat is, all the pop culture references. I've got well over 100 hours in it and it was well spent.
I must insist you try the game for yourself! The soundtrack is consistent bangers, and that aside, the writing is some of the best I've seen out of a video game in many years!

I’ve been replaying CrossCode right now and I went “hmmm I feel like seeing what Gametal has been up to” and boom, it’s the battle theme that refuses to leave my brain after how long I’ve spent listening to it (especially after I went on an hour-long combat streak on Bergen Trail). This is a fantastic spin on it, and I love that this is how I find out this game might be slightly more well known than I thought it was. Definitely a banger rendition of Crosscode's battle music and S-Rank Battle music. I really like how post-launch, they updated the game and added the S-Rank Battle music alongside visual and mechanical changes. It made S-rank go from just a thing you were doing sometimes and nothing special to "GET HYPED AND NEVER STOP!" while making enemies respawn much faster, thus making grinding a lot more exciting and less tedious. Sorry, Emilie.

I like seeing some of Jonny’s comments on each song he covers, you can occasionally tell just how familiar he is with the game in question by how much he talks about it in the description.

seeing crosscode content on YT is always a treat. it's so hard to find content on this game and finding it from one of my fave remix artists is just the biggest cherry on top.
