Just because one song from a game/franchise gets covered by Jonny, it doesn't mean more songs from that game will be covered as well, it was already hard to get one song. The system to pick songs to be remixed is very complicated and strict.

Even though this game came out in 2010, I didn’t play it until 2012, and it completely blew me away with how incredibly well-crafted its simplistic yet challenging game design was! And the music, my gosh, Danny Baranowsky’s original compositions for the game rock so hard, even the first boss theme goes so freaking hard! This cover flashed me back to those days of playing Super Meat Boy and loving it then as much as I do now! Way to go, Jonny!

With the recent announcement of Emerl is Shadow Generations, I keep imagining how a cover/remix of Battle Highway from Sonic Battle would sound. Especially in your style, the mix of keyboard boops and rock guitar would sound amazing. As for the Lil' Slugger remix, my only complaint is it didn't do the standard game loop before going into the extended material. Regardless, it is an amazing cover as always!

@@arthurgadytibayan1411 I have! I played the first 2 games! I haven't played 3 and the Luminous Avenger spin-offs yet, because I no longer have where to play games. It's a great franchise for a Rockman fan to jump in. And I like feels more similar to the Zero series, and keeping with the amazing soundtrack (which Johnny should touch at some point). I do think at times there's to many effects on screen though.

I was extremely late to the party with Super Meat Boy (definitely a good thing considering the age I was when the game initially released) but when the game was able to download and keep for free with the Games For Gold program I downloaded it and gave it a shot, I loved it and as a testament to how hard this game is i'm still attempting to beat it to this day. I also ended up getting Forever despite its terrible reputation also for free through the EGS.
This song takes me back from when Totalbiscuit(Rest his Soul) did a Wipe-a-Thon 3000 for this game and almost half the video was his struggle against Lil' Slugger. The entire time he was having such a hype infused ree episode, I was jamming out to one of the better music tracks I've heard from Indie in a while. My only complaint was that it felt too short, which, realistically, if you're good at Super Meat Boy, the levels are over by the time the song is done, if not faster. This theme makes me imagine if Super Meat Boy's next game was character action, for some reason. Longer, Multiphased, and still a ton of fun. Thank you GaMetal, for taking me back with this track.
