Happy to say, I got the reference.
What a sendoff song to not only one of the most currently loved games in the franchise, but the entire 2D era of Pokémon itself. Shoutout to everyone who voted this song for May, I will have this on loop for the foreseeable future.
Also, all we need now to complete the OG set of 6 is Diantha's theme from XY.
Champion Iris and B2W2 Credits tracks are such a send-off, especially in hindsight.

Yeah BW2 were my first games in the series as well! Loved them to death as a kid, although I was never good enough to get super far in the game. XY helped me actually learn the ropes a bit because of how easy it is lol
That's really cool! I always wonder if you guys go back in the series to play the older games people from my generation played or if you just kept up with the following games
@@araragisenpai4088 over the years I started getting my hands on the other DS games (specifically all of Gen 4) but I actually never owned BW1 until… like a few weeks ago! I just never got around to getting it for whatever reason and prices for it have been going up so much. I’ve played a lot of the games since Gen 6 but I haven’t played much of anything prior to Gen 4 yet

God you've covering no Pokemon songs other than some of my absolute favorites this year, huh? I love B2W2, this is a game that's always meant a lot to me, and for a long time I felt like people didn't give this song the appreciation its deserved because it's always hyped me up the most out of any champion theme. Needless to say, I absolutely adore this cover and how well you captured the energy of the original while adding your own touches. This is an actual 10/10.
3:25 cements this as my new favorite GaMetal remix. The footage being a sea of flames when the song cuts back in HAS to be intentional. I had several big stupid grins throughout this, but that moment gave me the biggest and stupidest one. This was _beyond_ worth the wait, man!

B2W2 Outrage animation goes hard for sure
I can't be the only one imagining a full animated battle with the footage happening in the background in tandem with the song, making the zoroark clutch at the end that much more dope
Her Archeops in hard mode has a flying gem and acrobatics, meaning she has a 165 base power stab flying nuke coming off her 140 base attack pokemon. That's probably among the hardest hitting NPC trainers in the series to date.
I always loved her theme it’s so upbeat and cheerful compared to Cynthia’s and most of the Champions and this remix makes it even better!

I love all the blacknand white two love recently. From chuggaaconroy to gametal, im happy one of the best ds games is getting the love it deserves
I also love the running gag of the last couple of pokemon songs having a Pokemon named revolver use exposion on the wrost possible pokemon on that team. This time it was a level 10 magmite doing it on the aggron. Before, it was a azelf on Cynthia's spirtomb, and revaoom on eri's ape. Truely amazing. Shootouts to the person who gives the game play foldgae for that
I still remember listening to the OG version of this in the champion medley all the time and now seeing it remixed is just glorious; the improvement is insane!! just an exhilirating cover, good shit as always!!

I love this song so much for how it feels like a triumphant send-off to this era of the series, BW2 came out when the 3DS already existed iirc so it was very clear that a new age was about to begin, but BW2 made sure to go out with a bang
Iris has my favourite Champion theme and you absolutely nailed it. The synth work, the guitar taking the lead for the climactic sections, and how the buildup to the ending is from the Masters remix. Been jamming to this for the last hour. Favourite song of the year so far

Finally! My vote actually got turned into a remix. And HOLY DRAGON DANCED HAXOROUS! How hard that thing hits is how hard this slaps! That buildup part at 3:29, shook me the first time I heard this song. AND, then he paused it for just a second!? Glad I played it max volume in my car on the way home.

My favorite champion theme with my favorite 2nd champion(behind alder since alder has just so much charm in gen 5 story)
like i like her over cynthia because not only does she have development of growing from gym leader to champion but her theme of princess taming the dragon instead of being kidnapped by one is sick.
This was the first song I ever heard that actually stopped me in my tracks and had me reevaluate things. It remains my favorite champion theme to this day. Fantastic cover!

Iris and her Axew is one of the best human-pokemon friendships period. And her dynamic with Ash and struggles with Excadrill made me a huge fan of her.
When I found out she's in the Masters 8 and apparently was the CHAMPION in B/W 2 I was DUMBFOUNDED! And SO DAMN HYPED FOR HER!!! This remix truly does her justice. Capturing her personality and the whole vibe of B/W. Thank you
