Yeah man. This longer format -- really, _everything_ you've been publishing -- is of considerable import and value to people producing; the aspiring. Your work flow is remarkable. Each video is like a little treasure. You are shortening the distance between trying and DOING. Big up. Just lovely ; ) TY
Thank you very much mate!
Exactly what I’ve been looking for. Thank you.
You make this look easy man.
Thanks mate! It's easy when you have your libraries ready to go!
@@leonswitchthink I may have to grab me some of your libraries. Drums sound great.
@MrDesmondPot thanks mate!
This was rad! Thanks for sharing this with us all!
Thanks man! ❤️
Leon Legend
Thanks mate!
wow, i've been listening to your music for almost 15 years now. this is like having lessons with the one of the goats. thanks for teaching. massive tune. big inspiration ! ty for making these
Thanks for your comment and your support! I'm glad you are enjoying my content!
can't thank you enough, my favourive music to listen to, there are so few tutorials!
Thanks mate
Masterclass
Thanks mate!
this was such a good idea thanks
I'm glad you found it helpful!
Still watching but nice use of delay effects on the drums, love the filtered beats sound. As you say, wood pecker style, reminds me of some of the drum section from an old skool DnB tune back in the 90's "Splash - Babylon"
Thanks mate!
i really dig the minimal style of this track.
Thanks mate! It was lucky how it worked out!
Niccceee one 👌🏽🔥🔥
Thank you!
Thanks ! It was interesting and informative !
That's good to hear! Thank you!
Getting some audio deja vu so googled you…
Goodness me I CANNOT believe I never twigged you are part of Kryptic Minds. Mate, thank for the music. I love it so much.
Can listen to Youngsta playing your stuff for hours and hours
Ps. Excellent production posture
Ah thank you very much mate, I appreciate that! I'm grateful for the support!
Someone else mentioned my posture lol
The godfather of dub teaching his fans!!
You all are truly blessed!
I can't wait for you to drop a new set using some of these sounds!!
Great work leon!
Much love from 🇺🇸
BTW Im still trying to find that track you used on your get darker set. The one that was at the very end!
It was the final track.
Can someone show me the way?
Ridiculous! That track hits so hard!
Thank you very much mate!
Very useful video, thank you! I always have trouble connecting the parts.
I'm glad you found it helpful!
Big ups for this bro!
Much love!
thanks for that! still listening to "fade to nothing"
That's lovely to hear! Thanks mate
😮 33 mins in. I'm off to find a pair of socks to tie my jaw up with and I'll be right back.
🤣😂 make sure they are clean! 🤣😂
Yes, interesting - and the long format ok - thank’s a lot ! Love from Thailand 🎶
Thank you!
wow this is amazing - long form is the best! the work flow is really cool to see - little 10 min vids are nice but seeing how it is made is really helpful!
Thank you mate, that's great to hear.
Killer
Thanks mate!
i had no clue you had a youtube channel, i tried buying a white label press of "lucky star" off some guy in the UK off discogs a few years back, and it got lost in the mail haha
thanks for uploading a tutorial on this style, youtube was barren back when i started listening to OG dubstep and couldnt find a single tutorial for it
Hey thanks for your support! I'm sorry to hear about the white label! That sucks...
Also glad you found the channel! Much love!
funny seeing those member names in that order. I recorded my 1st ever track under the shape shifter alias. ;-)
Haha it is funny where we start out... my first artist name was Skitz... nearly had a release with moving shadow under that name! Lol
Hey bud thank you
Thanks mate!

The next time I make a tune, I’m checking in with this tutorial. I’ve got to work on my intros and atmospheres more. I don’t think I’m quite hitting the mark with them yet, and this is a great breakdown of your process that’s giving me ideas to try.
That's really cool to hear the videos are helping!
@@leonswitchwhat’s your approach to selecting and sound designing kicks and snares?
I have a members section for more personal questions like that, feel free to join!

Seagulls? Lol
Long format is needed to get the point across sometimes in my honest opinion!
Thanks mate! That's good to hear!
can you make a video about mixing and mastering?
I'm only taking requests from my members for videos now mate.
@@leonswitch sadly
Much love!
Minor criticism of the video, the music in the intro ended up being way louder than your voice which made my ears go RIP 😂
Ohhh sorry about that, thank you for the feedback! I'm still learning with regards to all of this. Much love!
@@leonswitch Haha it’s all good. You earned yourself a sub anyway :)
@anonymous_seagull I appreciate that mate, thank you!
@@leonswitch All good. I’m a huge fan of deep dub/140 and an amateur producer so I’m happy to have stumbled across your channel. Can I ask if all samples you use in this video are from your own sample packs?
@anonymous_seagull yes, all of the samples used in that video were from my sample packs. I try to use as much stock plugins or my own packs so people can have the same sounds and get the same results. If you are new to producing the definitely consider becoming a member of the channel. You'll get a free sample pack every month and all of the parts to the videos plus 20% discount on all my packs. We have a discord of like minded producers as well. I'm glad you are enjoying the videos mate!
Can never figure out, are all these samples in the same key? when i try this method its alway out of key? any help is appreciated
Hey mate, yes all of the samples from my packs are pretty much in the same key. You would need to correct any pitches from samples from other packs so that they all work together.
