*UPDATE* I read all my comments and the ones coming from "Older Elvis Fans" As I am 55 and grew up on Elvis's Music with My Dad that just passed away age 73, I am shocked at how many responses I am getting about this isn't rare maybe to YOU its not first time uploaded was 14 yrs ago I've heard it many times but I find its the most "Candid" Interview with Elvis... So I resurfaced It...!! It's not that easy to find... This is GREAT IMO for the NEW Fans after watching THE ELVIS MOVIE...!! IMO... AND REVISITING!! Sometimes I really cannot understand how some of Elvis's Fans can be so rude.... SO Please try and be nice and respectful!!! Thanks X Tonya -- I AM JUST TRYING TO KEEP ELVIS'S LEGACY ALIVE.... I do not make money doing these its all copyrighted but by YT Guidelines you can upload them.... I DO IT OUT OF LOVE FOR ELVIS AARON PRESLEY

I am 56 and was born in Memphis 5 days after Lisa Marie, on the same floor, in the same hospital.
My Mother went to high school at Humes High School, she was a few years behind Elvis in school, but saw him around Whitehaven in Memphis. I grew up loving Elvis. We lived 20 minutes from Graceland, and when I was a little boy my Mama would take me to Graceland on Sunday's once every few months. At that time they opened the gates and allowed visitors to walk up to the house. That was as far as they let you go. But it was a magical time for me. He was still alive at that time.
I remember August 16th, 1977 like it was yesterday. It was a very hot August day, as you can imagine, in Memphis, Tennessee. I was in my backyard with several buddy's of mine playing kick ball when I heard the kitchen window being raised open. I heard my Mama say, "Todd...Elvis just died!" Her voice was very serious as if a family member had died. I remember just freezing where I stood in just complete silence. I couldn't move. I was 9 years old.
It was something I can't explain. It was my first time to experience death.
I know some people probably read this and think that it all sounds crazy but it was real. Elvis was apart of my life as far back as I remember, and still remains apart of my life today.
There will never be anyone on this earth that will ever come close to Elvis, in my eyes. He was a wonderful man!

All Elvis fans and fan clubs and podcasts and Elvis reaction people should help get Elvis nominated for The Gershwin Award by emailing The US Library of Congress. Elton John just won it this year. It goes to someone who influenced and changed music and culture. He opened the doors for black artists and all races to get into music industry. Without him, who knows when rock and roll would have happened and all the people he influenced to this day. He was the original O.G for his look, hair, clothes, fashion, dance moves. He did it first. Not to mention his stage presence, no one can compare

I’m 75 and I started listen at about 13. My sister brought home a couple of his records. 45 s. The first time I saw him was in a cover of the records. I think it was blue moon or something. I just thought he was so cute. Then later I listened some but started tryings to watch his movies. But I got irritated cause the stupid girls would scream. I got to going to see his movies in the afternoon so I could hear him sing. My favorite back then was the blue Hawaii. I listened to him allot but after my husband passed away I really started listening. I love his music. I’ve read and listened to all the stories about him and I learned more about him. It’s fun. I read allot books. I read that book called destined to die young. I think every real Elvis fan should read it. It tells you about health issues from birth. It wasn’t because of drugs that Elvis died young. He would have died before 50. His body had issues he was born with. He was very sick when he was first born. So was his mom. They spent 2 weeks in the hospital. Of course, Jessie died. No one really knows why cause they were so poor they didn’t have money for a autopsy. Now a hospital or doctors would have paid to figure out what was wrong. I’m glad Gladys and Elvis went to the hospital after he was born. Cause they could have lost both of them.

Dad & Mom saw Elvis in Shreveport LA in 1975 or 76 I can't remember I remember them being so excited and me begging as a little girl to go Blue Hawaii and It happened at the worlds fair when I was little were my favorites... still are all of them I just love!!!! I have them all.. SAME Elvis's music has helped me so much since losing Daddy!!! I have wanted to read that book... My favorite recently Is Elvis & Ginger I am half through it... I find it very emotional and learning a lot about him being into Numerology and Meditation and his search with his Life's Path which I am very much into myself .... I believe Elvis was very lost in a way and He even said Why Me? Why Am I so loved and famous? Yes I heard He had autoimmune disorder ... I read the article / website with the doctor that this book you talk about was partially based on Elvis had many head injuries due to this doc's research with Nick's information Yes His Mom and 2 brothers had autoimmune disorder .... From a spiritual perspective, ELVIS set his intent as a child. Using his imagination (thoughts become things) from the hero in his favorite comic book to playing the actor on screen! Now, add in his southern roots and gospel singing... God (universe/source) had no choice to bring it right to him! He attracted (LOA) it all to him over the years. Our minds are the center of God's plan! ELVIS's faith shows his dreams became his reality! He said "Every dream I've ever dreamt has came true for me a hundred times"! All the studying he was doing, searching for the TRUTH and it was within him the whole time. I'm so grateful to hear his voice! Thank you!

Yes!!! Very perfect way to describe E.. Have you read the book Elvis & Ginger His
Fiance' In 1977 It's so good Elvis studied so much with Numerology and his Life Path Number 8 and too Psychic ability with his Spiritual advisor Larry Geller Elvis had a 6th sense.... anyway I love all the Elvis books but this ONE is so interesting .... How he would heal or have Larry heal him of his pain through energy and colors... etc etc I am heavy into Numerology and Psychic Phenomenon so I am just shocked I had heard this before that he was into Numerology but he goes really deep into it thanks for stopping by x Tonya

    • @machelleconatser8746
      @machelleconatser8746 Рік тому +2

Yes, I've read anything I can find on Elvis following his spiritual side. What interests me the most is the books he had that I too have read. Tesla taught it best with numerology in my humble opinion. Elvis life is a prime example of the emotions and different states of mind we go through. When you look at your life in 4 pillars its easier to see where you are struggling and need to work on that area of your life. Too bad, Elvis or Larry didn't know about Neville Goddard when he was lecturing the TRUTH in LA in the 60's. Elvis may have realized everything comes from within. Through GOD all things are possible!

I may delete this what I am gonna tell you I don't let this be know Only My Grown Boys 32 and 26 know and close friends but since I was a child I would see spirits and I didn't understand it of course... but I am a "Medium" - Psychic Medium.... what my guides have shown me is me helping those that have family that has passed on needing to feel some closeness or even some closure... I channel their family members and always get "Validation" On things I see them doing to communicate with me to relate to them... it could be anything... say cooking or I see a clock or could be anything that happened that that family member would only know... or friends too that want to connect... I've done this for many years now... It's so rewarding!!!! I have had to learn how to not let their energy "zap" me... meaning drain me... sometimes it gets intense .... the emotions you get from that spirit ... sometimes they show you things that I won't always relate to the family... unless I need validation anyway you probably now think I am crazy I promise I am not I am perfectly sane!!! My Dad just passed away and I lost My Mom and My Grandmother that raised me ..... Dad visits always startling me with him clearing his voice in my left ear he did that all the time... Mom comes to me through songs mostly My Grandmother I smell her perfume and feel her energy on my left side as if she's laying her head on my shoulder ... and she comes when I am stressed or just need comfort..... Ty for this honest open Real Elvis interview that makes my collection Complete! I always knew there was a normal courteous kind respectful human in the Image that cared about his reputation not the big $ n fame to be had. he gave it away n that's typical of how he was raised. when ppl grow up poor, or do without ,they don't miss what they don't have, yet appreciate other things more like their family n values. And you heard it right from his rock n roll tongue how he felt towards army rituals n acting. He was down to Earth n I get tired of the stuff they write about him. I know for me ,I luv his voice n whole demeanor n style. the boy rocked n every one after him admitted he opened the door for them Springsteen said It began n ended w Elvis. he was right on the money ,wasn't he? I was into the 50s Elvis songs this morning. and loved the way it started. Elvis w the black n white sleeve w blue Moon, I'm counting on you, is my favorite. Pat Boone had a #1 single n Blue Moon never made #1. his voice range at its best wow Surprising no fan has mentioned that lil tidbit. be safe n my deepest sympathies ,I lost my big bro. ,75, he would've really dug all these Memories n interviews. this one is a real treasure. for a true fan for sure. That's our man !! we luv him

Yes He was so Down to Earth and when He would make fun of himself it was hilarious His HUMOR was Charming and His laugh Contagious ... Yes Elvis was SO STYLISH I Love his 50's Lanske Store Styling SO MUCH & Ahead of his time!!! I am from Texas and those Southern Country Boys are "Gems" My boys are of course Sweet Country Boys!! Yes so many as Lennon Said Before Elvis there was nothing! Yes I have seen that quote by Bruce and its SO TRUE ... Bruce was a HUGE Fan and He even showed up at Graceland ---- Forty years ago tonight, the Boss tried to meet the king.
The night of April 29, 1976, Bruce Springsteen performed in Memphis to support his album "Born to Run." Sometime after the show - either late on April 29 or in the early morning hours of April 30 - he decided to pass by Elvis Presley's Graceland.
As legend has it, he saw lights on and decided he wanted to meet Elvis Presley. He jumped the wall and ran up the hill to the mansion, where he was stopped by security guards at the front door. Elvis wasn't home, and Springsteen was politely escorted off the property. ---------- This is from the Graceland Website Thanks for stopping by I so enjoyed your comment x Tonya

He was not lonely as the Movie portrayed AT ALL!!! His Life did not End with his Divorce from Priscilla He was with Linda Thompson for many years 72-76 --- Then His Fiance' Ginger Alden in 77... Where they were planning their wedding...!!! The only thing I hate from the Movie is how it portrayed Elvis as being LONELY ......... He was very happy!! Yes He had depression and pill addiction! I am 55 I know the History of Elvis... I wish the ones coming from the Elvis Movie KNEW... All Of This History This WAS Baz's Take "Through the eyes of the Colonel" Yes It would appear that way through HIS Eyes!!! I would research about Elvis and His Relationships with Linda Thompson & Ginger Alden... He Loved Both Of Them.... HE Had the Memphis Mafia LIVING with him at Graceland around him constantly since He bought Graceland ... His Father was with him!!!! Vernon Presley .... How could that be a lonely life? Look up Photos of Elvis on his Vacation In Hawaii in March 1977 Tell me if that looks like Elvis was Unhappy?? He was smiling and with Ginger and his cousin Billy Smith that lived at Graceland and Billy's Wife Jo... and Joe Espisito and others on that vacation He is playing Football!!! Last Vacation Elvis Had... before He died Please do not take that movie as Elvis being LONELY because they Cut OFF the movie at 1973 which was their separation / divorce ... He and Priscilla ...... Lisa Marie visited her DAD Every Summer was there When Elvis Died She Saw Her DAD DEAD.... She woke up to the commotion at 9 years OLD ... Could You Imagine? I am one year older Than Lisa Marie... She is 54 I am 55... I remember where I was when He passed I remember My Mother & Father even Crying!!! I watched the Funeral On TV We all cried!! The Whole world MOURNED!!!!

Love him for as long as I remember. Was born in 1956 and grew up with him as his career took the trajectory that it did. I was teased by those who thought I was mad ...guess I was! But Elvis made me happy, helped me cope, be resilient and motivated to get to meet him one day. Moved to NZ to attend university and thought that might get me closer to meeting him as there were rumors he might tour Australia! Never happened and he died in my second year of university. Stayed in my room and cried for 3 days! I am a psychologist now, still a crazy lover of Elvis and now planning to visit him in Graceland! Listening to his beautiful soft voicand laugh has made me very happy. I miss him and saw the new movie ELVIS more than 80 times in the cinema because it helped me feel closer to him. Also there is live footage on "You tube" of all the interviews which took place back stage at various US locations during the filming of the Documentary "Elvis On Tour". I first came across these interviews about 14 years ago, so they are not new. I acknowledge: that the poster is not saying that they are. Elvis actually tells his life story in those interviews which run for about 44 plus minutes. Hope all this helps. Especially when he spoke about himself as a little boy, that was priceless. As a Elvis fan, this interview is critical for the future, and it's new fans can truly learn of the man. I miss EP so much. The day he died the world stopped for a moment and it felt immediately darker. He was such a light, he saved so many with his God given voice. Elvis was so generous, he died almost broke because he gave it all away to family, friends, fans and complete strangers. He did it because he was a good man who never forgot where he came from. He never did it for press or praise. His generosity was only made public if the people who received the gifts shared their stories. There’s an interview with JD Sumner from The Stamps Quartet that was recorded the day after Elvis passed away. JD said of his best friend, “Other than Jesus Christ, Elvis Presley was the best human being I’ve ever known.” Many people say this , Elvis once considered quitting music and becoming a preacher. Can you imagine? Some people are never meant to get old. Could you imagine Marilyn Monroe, James Dean or Elvis at 90? They’re forever burned in our memories as the young stars they became. It’s so unfortunate that Elvis’s mother died when he was 23, had she lived maybe he would have too. Losing her, people said that changed him and he was never the same. The happy go lucky Elvis was gone and he was never the same again. That’s when he started taking the pills to numb himself to not feel anymore. Sadly, he became hooked on them. The ending was tragic. Gone but never forgotten. We love you, Elvis. We’ll always love you and no you will never be forgotten.

This "interview" was done in the Summer of 1972 for Elvis's MGM film, "Elvis On Tour", for some snippets to be (and that were) used in the film as "voiceovers" from Elvis describing his tours during the early 1970s.

Yes I know I am 55... I have all his movies many many LP's 45's I inherited from My Dad that just passed away age 73... I am not a "Newb" I simply resurfaced it to Revisit where it was posted in full 14 years ago on youtube and for those new fans to see ... I am not committing a crime I just can't believe how Elvis fans / Lifetime fans can be so "Vocal" about how this is known well OK but its hidden in UA-cam... so why not resurface it... I make NO MONEY from these I do it for ELVIS AARON PRESLEY'S LEGACY

@@HeavenlyPresley-Tonya I was not criticizing you for posting it. Just letting you know that it's not a "new" interview. It was done by "Elvis On Tour"'s director & producer, Bob Abel & Pierre Adidge most likely on July 20, 1972 in Hollywood, CA (probably right next to Col. Parker's office.

I've always loved Elvis, thanks to my Mum, but I never really knew that much about him. All I knew was that he was drop dead gorgeous and had the most amazing voice on the planet. I think the new movie rekindled my interest and so down the rabbit hole I went. It's been quite the journey, he's more incredible than I ever imagined ❤️

Thank you for sharing this interview. All of Elvis' interviews are priceless. We need to hold onto and cherish every piece of recording of him, candid or not. I personally could listen to him speak all day. There will be no one like Elvis, ever. I am sorry to hear about your loss. Your father would be so happy to know that you have an Elvis UA-cam channel dedicated to him. I look forward to more of your videos. Aloha from Hawaii!

Going onto my second listen 🎶 and just hearing Elvis mention how they didn't have the theaters and venues we do now. Elvis mentioned the Fox Theater in Detroit and it just brought me back to memories of when I looked around at the theater and the top tier view, wondered just how many greats had performed there. It isn't that big, but hauntingly ornate and interesting. It was Chris Cornell's last night on-stage performance before his death. R.I.P Chris..and Elvis..I'm sure your spirit visits through some realm, some way..only God would know.🙏🏻✨🕯🕯🎤🎶❤

Thank you so very much for posting..and I'm happy I found this in my feed. To hear from Elvis himself how he was forced and obligated contractually to do these Hollywood movies he didn't want to do or believed in. To know it made Elvis physically sick, doesn't surprise me as he had deep integrity and knew what he wanted to do himself, respectfully in his OWN CAREER. Privately, no one's perfect and he's a rock God so of course any red blooded man was going to want fans..you NEED the fans. And to hear the terrible stories about Elvis hurts me so much, I just can't imagine how Lisa Marie felt..(well I can some as I found some terrible things my own daddy suffered through before his passing and it almost killed me..I'm still grieving but life stopped for 3 years for me). Elvis was a good guy with a true heart of gold🤎..that was forced in almost every area of his life, musically to film, to the shows all over and of course L.V. And even privately, forced to be with and without many true wishes. I won't say anything unkind here about the one I know betrayed him most, and who knew exactly what the they were going into. A passive aggressive manipulative character, who knew it would not work out but needed the '$ecurity' and 'pound of flesh' before total betrayal. If truth be known, the betrayal was well before the main milestones of life. Nevertheless, Lisa Marie was absolutely 💯 dedicated to her daddy and though ppl like to criticize her for HER choices in HER LIFE, they can just step aside and mind their own steps in life. Lisa was dealt the hand that she was not in control of. And inherited not only her daddy's beautiful heart, looks and sensitivity.. she had to be strong and she did it ALONE under immense deception, resentment and lead from very young into confusion..a messed with lady who still fought it off and honored her daddy until the day she died..literally. Ppl begrudge her inheritance and say awful things, like she'd overspend etc. IT'S NOT YOUR LIFE OR BIZ to judge her..in life and especially some have in death. I won't go further there as it really makes my blood boil. If only I could speak the TRUTH regarding the months before Lisa's passing, and who she was up against, but I know it will be blocked immediately as the tentacles of this mob reach far and wide in all areas of profession. Elvis was and always will be a unique and once in a lifetime human being, gifted to us all by God..we are all God's children, though Elvis' voice was something never to be seen again. Nor his beauty both inside and out. It was great to hear this interview and hear Elvis laugh, with that endearing hearty laugh, then deep inhale..just a lovely laugh that puts a smile on your dial and your heart each time. I know you're together again with your "button head" and "Yisa"..and Ben⚛🤎🙏🏻♾🎤🤎🙏🏻🎶🕊🤎⚡🤎🙏🏻🕯🥰

Not sure where my 1st comment went to but here it goes again----
    I loved this Elvis interview!!
It was not long enough because I could listen to Elvis forever !! He sounded incredible & relaxed!! I loved hearing about Elvis from Elvis !!! He was, is, & always will be super great !! It breaks my heart that he is not here physically any more!! I know that he is still spiritually here though among his adoring fans !!
Words cannot accurately describe his humbleness, his generosity & heart for others & a million other beautiful things that made him GREAT !! God truly blessed him & to the best of Elvis's ability he used what God gave him !! If everyone could use their God given talents to the best of their ability, what an even greater world this would be !!
I'm so happy to have heard this whole interview!!
THANK YOU so much Heavenly for sharing it!!
God's blessings always be upon you !!🙏
