also a funny video that you guys could do and maybe involve your friends or family is a cooking video. so it'd be like masterchef rounds, where one person starts off preparing everything for the chosen dish and you get like 10 minutes each...and then the next person has to come in, have the first person chat to them for maybe 1 minute and explain the dish and then the next person has their 10 minutes and has to do as much as they can... and so on until the last person has finalised the dish!

So with you on the ring thing. I have a friend who has a $15,000 engagement ring and I CANT even imagine! I consider myself not materialistic person, so I'd way much rather get a ring less than $1,000 and then have an epic honeymoon.

For the record your engagement ring is the first I've seen that I actually really like, I think if I ever get married I'll want a pretty little delicate ring like yours!

Congratulations on your engagement!!! So exciting 😄 If you guys are thinking of having an adventure/relaxing honeymoon a great thing is camping (tent or trailer, whichever works). It sounds super unconventional, but me and my husband spent a week camping in BC and we ended up going to 4 different natural hot springs, hiking, sightseeing and generally just exploring. It was so much easier and way more peaceful than going on a big trip 😊
Katie H. My parents did something like that up in Canada and upstate New York for their honeymoon too. Canoeing and camping in tents. They LOVED it!

I hear you on the honeymooning. Everyone we know did the all inclusive beach vacation and that wasn't us. We went to Florida and did the theme parks and water parks. And it was perfect.
I'm like live commenting as I watch haha, but for the proposal, I told my husband that if he proposed at any big public event (like the Jumbotron at a sporting event) I was saying No. (New Years Eve at a small house party at midnight is what he picked). My dad proposed to my mom while he was cleaning his contacts and she was brushing her teeth.

I relate to you both sooo much ! I just got engaged a couple months ago and I'm only 20 and everyone has been judging us for getting engaged young which can suck at times but thats ok! I totally agree that society dictates how you are supposed to propose and the same thing with engagement rings being a certain size. I feel now a days its all about going big or it somehow means he doesn't love you enough which is total bs. As long as the experience symbolizes your love for one another then that is all that matters and not what everyone else thinks. Its about you anyway. My fiance proposed to me in our living room, just us, after I had gotten off a long shift working and it turned my whole day around bc Im not going to lie I was a bit cranky lol. The point is I like my story the way it is because it represents our relationship perfectly. I feel your engagement story represents who are perfectly as a couple. I've been married for 5 months and I too have loved dainty jewelry and your absolutely right-love has nothing to do with amount of money-and usually couples who focus on those things don't last for the right reasons.
