Charlie this looks so good. I have made the cake already just haven't topped it yet. I know the cake will freeze but, will the praline icing freeze well or do I need to put it on when I'm getting ready to serve?
Make the icing when your ready to serve the cake. You can do it a few days ahead of time as well.
Anyway we can get a Diabetic/Keto Version of this one Charlie with Erythritol? Please Make it happen if possible!

Quick tips- You can use All purpose flour instead of cake flour. You can also increase the amount of unsalted butter by 1 stick, the large eggs by 1 and an additional 1/2 cup sugar. That'll be 3 sticks unsalted butter(Room temp), 5 large eggs (Room temp) and 3 cups Sugar total. Baking times etc will remain the same. This is optional if you want a larger and more moist cake.

@@aprilking3682 I'm late on this. I been following charlie's channel for a long time. He says never INCREASE or change HIS RECIPES. If it gets messed up, it's not his fault, because you technically changed up the ingredients. Always follow his recipes, to the max. That's how I learned how to make Gumbo. From Charlie's recipe. Following it EXACTLY!!! Here's the info on Cake flour vs. AP flour. Cake flour is better for cakes. Cake flour is a finely milled, delicate flour with a low protein content; it's usually bleached. ... The primary difference between cake flour and all-purpose (AP) flour is the protein content (which becomes gluten). The protein content of cake flour is about 8%, while the protein content of AP flour is slightly higher.

Hey Charlie! I think you’d be proud a me! I can’t figure out to post a picture on this thread but I made this cake. It’s was so light & fluffy & not too sweet..but the kicker was the praline topper! I haven’t made your praline candy recipe, but I assume it’s close to this because my icing (after it harden) was just like a decadent praline. But better than that..it was creamy and not gritty at all (for anybody that has made pralines before & had them turn out to be a bit gritty) I did have 1 mess up, but that was me..not you. I have a k-mart Bundt pan that’s 20 years old & I love it (for a Duncan Hines cake mix), but it is smaller that what you call for, so mine over flowed in the oven..but I had a pan underneath, so it was all good. And I ordered me a Nordic one from amazon today. Lol. I made some of your other recipes too today. I had so much fun learning your techniques. I’ll fill you in on the other threads.
