Seems like my kind of mountains, similar to se Utah's slick rock mountains, 'behind the rocks' and the rest of canyon country but UNIQUE in its own way, Guadalupe Mountains is a MUST SEE for my bucket list! :)
Joe Serrano I remember going for scouts when I was 13, it was march so it's around 60 degrees, I remember sweating on my way up and the trails leads to other side of the mountain and there is snow all around on this side of the mountain, it was crazy to be sweating climbing and then freezing your but off continuing the climb.

I just got back from NM for the first time last week (native michigander), I never would have guessed how absolutely stunning NM is!
That's amazing. I didn't know that the Guadalupe Mnt's were once covered by water. I do visit the park quite often, Its nice out there.
