This video really brings back some good memories. When I was very young in the military, I was stationed just South of Tucson. Being from the overcrowded East Coast I was amazed at all the open space where I could explore without any "No Trespassing" signs. And that's where I learned to LOVE Mexican food. Many years later my wife and I went to Carlsbad NM to visit our daughter and, of course, we had to climb Guadalupe Peak. I love snow in the desert but I think I would rather summit Guadalupe Peak in April, when we did it. Thanks for sharing this wonderful experience.
The amount of vastness out West is incredible! And we totally agree, we would've much rather done this without snow haha. We really want to try it again in the future on a nicer day!
I finally made it To Guadalupe last week. Climbed the peak on the 24th of Jan 2024. About 38F at the start but the winds were brutal gusting into the 50mph range ! Almost blew me over a few times. Hit snow around the two mile mark and unfortunately moved into the clouds about the same time. Zero views and freakin cold up top. ! Still one great Adventure
I was cold watching you hike in the Guadalupe Mountains! Although, the snow was beautiful and those clouds at the top were awesome!!! Those cacti in Tucson were awesome...miss seeing them!!! Thanks for another fun and entertaining vlog!
We were cold too! Haha! Thankfully once we hit the sunshine it got much more bearable. And the cacti were awesome, we can't wait to go back to Arizona in April!
Woot! Woot! You made it through that hike with it being so cold! I'm such a wuss, hate the cold! The food sounded delish! Maybe next time show us the food too! hehe!
Eegees!!! Thanks for the great vlog of my hometown Tucson, feeling a little homesick. I do miss those mountains, the saguaros, and sunsets (and of course the Eegees!).
@@AdventuresofAplusK make sure to check out San Xavier mission next time you're in Tucson (a must!) and a little further south of town is a quirky and yummy Mexican restaurant called Wisdom's Cafe and another non-rehabed mission. Keep on adventuring!
Loved your video! At least when you got past the snow thing. We winter very close to where you entered Saguaro National Park in Tucson Estates. You drove right past!
The snow was tough on that trail! We want to go back and try again with better weather and see more views! What an amazing area to winter! We love Arizona so much!
It was awesome! We are SO HAPPY we got above the clouds otherwise it would’ve been a tough hike for no views haha. We would love to try it again on a warm and sunny day!
I visit so many mexican restaurants, and still haven't come across one that serves on all traditional mexican terracotta, hailing from phx and l.a. so gotta make my way to Guadalupe Peak!
Hey guys! I was wondering what time of year your guys went to Guadalupe peak? Planning to go with the family in November time and want to see if we would get similar weather to yall. Miss you guys and hope y’all are doing well!
Hi Iris! We’re doing great, thank you so much! We went a few days after Christmas! We feel like this weather may have been a bit unusual, but definitely bring warm clothes. Let us know if you have any other questions! 💗
When you hiked Guadalupe mountain did you leave your dog in a kennel? I’m planning a trip and taking my dog just not sure what options or what to do.. need to plan ahead.
She was at an Airbnb we had booked. We have a blog about all of the things we do with our pup when we travel (especially now that we travel full time): adventuresofaplusk.com/full-time-van-life-with-a-dog-tips-for-traveling-with-a-dog/ We hope that helps some!
I can't believe we totally missed this video lol. Seis is SO good! They're opening up a third location now, too! Eegee's is so iconic - although I feel a little overrated (mainly because I get crazy brainfreezes). When you guys come back through this way, you'll have to check out the other side of Saguaro NP :)

Seeing the views from the top of Guadalupe was incredible.
It’s a really nice park!

We were very nervous we would just slide down the mountain haha. It taught us a good lesson to always bring our spikes on big trips!
Eegees!!! Thanks for the great vlog of my hometown Tucson, feeling a little homesick. I do miss those mountains, the saguaros, and sunsets (and of course the Eegees!).
Oh my gosh Eegees was so good! We cannot wait to make it back to Tucson someday. The food was all SO good and we love seeing those saguaros 😍

We will definitely add that to the list! We love us some Mexican food and we would love to see some missions!
Wow, this video is 4 years old....you did a great job from the beginning of your UA-cam journey!
Thank you so much!
Personally, I love foggy days. And having spent time in Vermont, I recall how beautiful it is. Especially in the fall👏👍❤️
We love them too! But only when we aren’t trying to see views haha

I'm glad the sun came out for you guys, great hike! And I went to Tucson in March and ate at Eegees! It was top on my list to do in Tucson
Man is gonna take me 3 years to catch up with your videos 📹 awesome thank you guy's so much ❤️
You can skip some of those earlier ones lol 🙈 thanks for watching and supporting, Cesar!
@@AdventuresofAplusK i try but i can't is like The Flash series i just can skip any episodes see you guy's in colorado some time hopefully
Y'all did it, that's on my bucket list, to hike up to the highest point in Texas. I've done the highest points in South Dakota and Georgia.
It is awesome, dooo it!! 🙌 We really want to try it again on a clearer day too. It was not fun going up on the ice without our spikes haha.
Please visit Ohio... i really want to know about it. Thanks for your vlogs, they are amazing
Thanks for watching! We will film Ohio one day!
The peak is awesome, isn't it?? We hunt every year to the north of the peak on the New Mexico side. It's a work out

thanks A+K
4:06 "Who knew there was snow in Texas." - I did not know there was snow in Texas!
Isn't that crazy?! We really had no idea that any areas got substantial snow!
I visit so many mexican restaurants, and still haven't come across one that serves on all traditional mexican terracotta, hailing from phx and l.a. so gotta make my way to Guadalupe Peak!

Ahhh no way! We LOVED that place! Wishing we could go back for more right now 😋
