Aircraft these days are so beautiful. Not particularly unique in their designs (like the MD-11 or 747-400), but nonetheless have a certain elegance to them. I’m also a sucker for that black “mask” around the cockpit windows.

@@lzh4950 the name XWB comes because the A350 was originally conceived as an evolution of the A330, using the same frame, Airbus was planning to do the same job they did the time they modernized the A300 into the A330. But most of airlines said that it was a too conservative job and required a more modern aircraft. Thus Airbus came with a second A350 proposal, called XWB to differenciate from the previous one: and this had a wider and bigger frame than the A330. That's why this name.

Love the A330. The narrowest you can build a 'true' widebody- with 2 LD3s side by side. . A330NEO is also a genuine long range performer, especially the 800. They look great with the NEO look
The A330's 2-4-2 seating in economy is the perfect ratio. Passengers never have to climb over more than 1 person to get to an aisle. The A350 and 787's 3-3-3 seating is uncomfortable. I really hope they can keep the A330 Neo models flying for much longer.
Damn, I hate 3-3-3 seating. Even worse is 2-5-2. Every damn plane I've been on with that layout, I had the misfortune of getting stuck in the very middle. That is ONLY for those with massive bladders. The first time I was stuck on that was on Singapore Airlines. And the plane hit a massive wake of turbulence causing my lunch to spill all over my lap. And I had to sit and wait in my soaked pants until the captain turned off the seatbelt sign AND for the damn trays on one side to be removed so I could go to the lavatory and at least try to wipe off whatever spilled on me. I wish a lifetime of hell for the shitheads who want this layout on their planes.

The A330-neo has a really graceful look, Airbus are hitting the nail on the head with their new aircraft and their improvements to previous models at the moment. Payload-range graphs show that you can fly more cargo the shorter missions you fly. So the Dreamliner should carry more payload for any mission. Probably. The narrator puts together a great production with these videos. Well done!

Beautiful plane. I haven't flown in the NEO yet, but will be soon. Airbus has done a fantastic job with this aircraft. And the fact that it doesn't have MCAS makes this plane very ideal choice for many of us consumers. Now I understand why Boeing was pressured to launching the 737 max in order to compete with this aircraft without giving much regard to ethical decisions and safety of passengers.

Strange fact according to A330 and 787. Airbus sold more A330 than Boeing 787 since the A330neo was offered in 2014. Boeing sold between 2014 and 2018 about 370 aircraft while Airbus sold 240 A330neo but also 180 A330ceo - in total 420 aircraft.
Unlike Boeing, Airbus Is not arrogant. They're just trying to make people travel further, faster, smoother. While Boeing also makes great aircrafts, They are in reality, just trying to get rid of their competitors.
I love when they show walking into the cabin , like it's a special experience . The truth is you walk right into a galley and there is nothing aerie and special about it .
Like this channel. No frustration elements to complain about. I just wonder why airliner companies dont put external fuel tanks under the airliner wings such as with military a/c ? Doing this they will extend the range of the aircraft according the route they choose. And it will illuminate the need of lots of different models with different ranges.
The fuel capacity added by external fuel tanks wouldn’t have the same amount of added range like it would have with military aircraft. Also the range of the aircraft is already long enough for let’s say 95% (probably even more) of all airlines operating it!
At last new airliners are beginning to look good again. For a while they were characterless buses, but now i see things I like looking at. The Dream liner is nice too and the A380 isn't exactly pretty but definitely has character and presence. I now find myself looking upwards again.

It's very interesting to note that I have never heard any complaints about the Airbus airliners altogether, unlike the Boeing airliners always showed problems one way or another, has anybody noticed this trends?? I have flown in the 787 Dreamliner and in the 777, A330 and I think they're excellent birds to fly on altogether, however Boeing has some catching up to do with Airbus specially with the problems it's facing with the 787 and the new 737 Max. At this time I'd prefer to fly on an Airbus airliner above anything else.

I think the A330neo will be a great, comfortable plane. I feel that Airbus places a bit more focus on passenger comfort than Boeing, particularly in economy. I respect that they believe in 18 inch wide economy seats.
They decided to upgrade A330 because it was selling very well in 2000s and early 2010s. A320neo became bestseller despite it was just A320 with new engine. But now market love 787 with it's range and fuel efficience that Airbus can't beat even with A330neo. The next big thing is already here and it's Boeing.
The A340-600HGW was as ahead of its time for the distance it was flying. Especially considering that Singapore Airlines was flying long haul with it. Imagine the insane distsnce an A340Neo could cover, similar fuel capacity with more efficient engines means that it could fly almost anywhere in the world.
It definitely did when A350-800 was about to be done before getting cancelled in 2014. It might be with A350-100 too as it is proving tough to sell in a segment where airlines have mainly trusted Boeing. Although Lufthansa never bought 777-300ER for them selves to use (they went with gas guzzler A340) they bought a handful for Swiss for their longhaul flights. They've replaced all but 5 A340-300's but more could be on the cards as earlier this year 2 more were bought for an early 2020 delivery. But A350-900 could be taking away sales from A350-1000 as a lot of customers switched to, due to 777-200ER replacement market (which Boeing also wants with slow selling shorter range 787-10) that has been busy for a yew years and is expected to continue for a while as none have built since 2014 while production started in 1997, it which is not a good sign.
The 330 is my all time Favorit. Because of his seat configuration in Economy class. 2-4-2.

The A330 is nothing more than a Airbus A340 except that it has two engines instead of 4. The wing and fuselage have the same dimensions.

Its not a new thing. The L-1011 was originally only supplied with RB-211 engines. RR do not provide narrow body engines for the Airbus or Boeing.

The A340-600HGW was as ahead of its time for the distance it was flying. Especially considering that Singapore Airlines was flying long haul with it. Imagine the insane distsnce an A340Neo could cover, similar fuel capacity with more efficient engines means that it could fly almost anywhere in the world.

It definitely did when A350-800 was about to be done before getting cancelled in 2014. It might be with A350-100 too as it is proving tough to sell in a segment where airlines have mainly trusted Boeing. Although Lufthansa never bought 777-300ER for them selves to use (they went with gas guzzler A340) they bought a handful for Swiss for their longhaul flights. They've replaced all but 5 A340-300's but more could be on the cards as earlier this year 2 more were bought for an early 2020 delivery.
But A350-900 could be taking away sales from A350-1000 as a lot of customers switched to, due to 777-200ER replacement market (which Boeing also wants with slow selling shorter range 787-10) that has been busy for a yew years and is expected to continue for a while as none have built since 2014 while production started in 1997, it which is not a good sign.

The Airbus 330 is my favourite plane because he have the 2-4-2 seat configuration wich i prefer the 3-3-3 configuration.
