He also later played the Death character in it. A character that existed before Bill and Ted bogus journey on an aussie sketch show
And then he's the hero in Demon Knight
Its a great episode.
Ed Solomon also wrote Men in Black, so of course they would have the Neuralyzer.

Man, I watched this movie so much as a kid. One of the tapes in regular rotation in my VCR.
Can't believe the time machine from H.G. Wells's "The Time Machine" didn't make the list.

Top 3 OSW time machine nitpicks!
1. Terminator bubble can only go back in time. They made a huge deal about this in T1
2. Superman was going backwards in time not the Earth itself. We are seeing time move backwards from his perspective, the Earth isn't actually spinning backwards in reality.
3. You didn't mention the time machine in Napoleon Dynamite, clearly the best designed of them all!

Surely Bernards Watch should’ve been on the Time Travel List - albeit it’s only pauses time, it’s incredibly effective in getting Bernards homework in on time or to have some extra hours lie in.

I always found Bogus Journey to be rather...off. Maybe because it was considerably darker than the first one. Excellent Journey was a lighthearted parody of sci-fi time travel tropes, but Bogus Journey kill off Bill and Ted, literally send them to Hell, and have them trying to beat the Grim Reaper in order to come back to life. Though they manage to inject some humor into things ("Best of 3? Best of 5? Best of 7?" "Damn right!"), it still feels very weird tonally. That being said, I am looking forward to Face The Music. Guessing from its trailer, they may be tackling a "Bill & Ted Multiverse" that sees them visiting alternate timelines and encountering alternate versions of themselves.
Such a great review. This hits many of the feels. Primus are in my top 5 favorite bands so that moment was my favorite!
i mean the Delorean is hella awesome, but the tardis goes anywhere in time and space so that should really be #1, but the DeLorean is badass

Death's accent in this movie is supposed to be Swedish. He is based on the character from the Swedish film, "The Seventh Seal," in which Death plays chess with the protagonist of the movie.
The sad thing is that if they have a 2 year record deal, then 2 years later it's 1993, metal is dead, and they have to do a desperate grunge-metal album that would flop.
And so 2020 in the Bill & Ted timeline looks like the real 2020.

Love this review lads huge mark for this film it pops me every time. I hope you do get to do the original if not would love to see your guy's thoughts on the Tenacious D Film as well as it's in the same vein for me as being metal but stupid but good kind of stupid.
2:10 I learned today that they changed the voice actors in the cartoon to the actors from the live action TV show during the second season so both tv shows had consistent casting because they were supposed to be on the air at the same time. But the live action movie got pushed back so far the cartoon was off the air by the time it debuted.

Kiss is the greatest band ever. My 11 year old self marked the fuck out when I saw this in theaters. I hadn't heard the track, as it hadn't been released yet, but I KNEW the voices singing it. I get fuzzy feelings ever time I see the movie on TV.

Whopper review. It's been a while since I've seen either Bill and Ted movie but Death as a character will always be a standout from the series to me.
Mad props to Jay for remembering the fatality inputs of Mortal Kombat 2. That's the sign of a seasoned arcade veteran.

FUCK YEAH! Excellent review, dudes. I still remember the 1st time I saw this movie when Pizza Hut were giving away random movies with their orders. The charm and positive nature of the protagonists just warms my cynical soul.

"Party on OSW Dudes!!" I guess I would count as one of those arty dicks whose seen Primer, ha! I had the soundtrack to this as kid, fond memories! Listened to it on repeat and sang along to the songs time again! I agree that Death steals the film, also great cameo from Pam Grier such a legend! I enjoy this one as a wacky guilty pleasure. The first film's better, but this one is strangely more entertaining. Am up for the new film this summer?

They are my favourite band of all time (along with The Ramones) and this it turns out would've been my first ever exposure to them. Thought for years it was Tony Hawks 2 (or 1) with jerry was a racecar driver around age 11 or 12 but nope. Had this on vhs and watched a lot of times as a wee nipper.
Controversial opinion...I kind prefer this to the first one.
But I accept thats probably due to a mix of nostalgia, William Sadler, Hell and the awesome soundtrack. Station.
