Neat, UA-cam algorithm showed this video in the list too. Guessing the sleeve maybe keeps crud off the shaft? Great detail to see regarding the design also. The JD some where along the way I was blessed with a sleeve hitch.... I think when I rescued a deck minus one of the anti-scalp adjustment mount and wheel. The gentleman threw in a bagger that can use some plastic welding and the sleeve hitch for free which was awesome. Awesome front end loader and seeing the Sears Craftsman too. Planning to build the subframe for both also for the front end loader, back hoe and a modified dedicate high low for forks, pile driving, augering and someone noted maybe I can drill wells too with. Plan with the front end loader attachment minus the bucket, to also make a cement mixer from an old either 38" or most likely 42" JD snowthrower and auger and modifying most likely the snowthrower frame material by basically rotating 180 degrees with an actuated shoot for the pour that can use a flexible pipe or just fall out. Just need to find the time to complete since really don't need just yet. Thinking will hydraulic motor operate or maybe electric possibly if I can fit with the snowthrower idler subframe assembly where I'd run either the hydraulic pump or generator. Anyways, neat to see and thanks again for sharing! Kind Regards, In Christ.
@@MurphyMower Thank you! Needed that affirmation and motivation. Literally just got back from the store with some primer paint that is rated for use on plastic so I can paint the Kubota hood for the JD 240 to match the rest to be the Ford blue design. Figured with the warmer weather coming around again... might have a good few days to paint and stay warm enough to cure good. Got the sewing machine mechanical design and restore to functionality bug this winter... so slowed down moving forward on some of the other projects. Likewise, all the best down there and good logic!
I watch and enjoy the video . I have a Murry wide body GT 21 hp I put a sears 3 point hitch and I'm think about putting on . hopeful it work like your and a another gentleman that has made his with a linear actuator thanks very much
I just replaced my whole unit with a manual one. I had a lot of trouble with the actuator. I think the only purpose was to lift the Roto tiller, I was frustrated that the Sears electric lift had no down pressure for the disc and plows.
@@MurphyMower yeah, if you cut away enough metal on the lift arm to allow the bolt through it should work, what model of actuator can you replace the original with?

Thanks for watching and good luck with all your projects

I really enjoyed your videos thank you for your time I do a lot of the same stuff
Thanks for watching

I’m sure with some drillbits and some spacers you can get it worked out, good luck
I used it the following day from video and hooked up the tiller and it picked it up just fine
Very nice set up
Thanks Ron

I thin k there is a way to make down pressure on this- but did not try

I got this on Amazon it is progressive automation‘s linear actuator four-inch stroke 400 pounds and I believe the part number is PA -04 - four - 400
I just looked at Amazon and it’s actually a little bit less than what I paid $148.99
