The cast of X-men actually had trouble moving in the leather suits during filming. There is behind-the-scenes footage in the DVD special features and on UA-cam of them struggling. James Marsden said, "You couldn't feel less like a superhero in these costumes." At least yellow spandex is flexible.
Its just the same....having yellow or colorful suit in battle its like powerranger...we wont take seriously like that....i mean yellow suit or colorful suit is so entitled(spoiled brat) its like they demand attention or attention seeking kind of ..lol
@@TheBlueboy7777 Amazing how the MCU pulled off colorful comic accurate costumes. It's almost like if you have the license to an IP to make a movie, it should look like how it did when you bought it.
@@solblackguyHawkeye says otherwise. Not to mention the most comic accurate Captain America costume was done as a joke and the second most accurate was in the First Avengers movie... It looked just as lame. Some things just have a harder time transitioning to live action.

@@mariovarela6292 and if you'd paid attention to any other x-men animated show or even the movie franchise, you'd know that their comment actually makes perfect sense. Ever since the start of the x-men movie franchise and most animated shows after X-men: Evolution, cyclops has been sidelined for Logan/wolverine as the leader of the X-men. Yeah he always starts out as the defacto leader in the shows and movies, but something always happens in the plot (Jean dies, Prof goes missing) that leads to Scott shirking his responsibilities and Logan (or sometimes storm) steps in and takes over. But ever since Hugh Jackman's on screen presence of Logan, shows and movies have just had a boner for wolverine as the leader and Scott never gets the full respect and focus that he deserves as a leader. So the person u were insulting actually does have a valid point, but nice attempt at trying to be edgy and cool.

To be fair to the DMC reboot white hair joke, people take it out of context. The actual joke was that he got white hair by the end of the game anyway, despite him saying not in a million years.

To be fair, the OG trilogy always had the Xmen fighting in dark condition, which means colorful outfits would have turned them into easy targets.
That's how Batman uses Robin as a diversion/human shield.
Ironically under dark conditions "bright colors" disappear quickly. IF you want to test this in your very own home find a room with a dimmer or baring that just put various cloths farther apart from the light source. Reds and Orange and Yellow fall off pretty quick.
ROY G BIV or just rainbow order works just fine in the dark or near dark.
Maybe the bright colors are meant to divert the attention away from the innocent civilians and onto the ones who can take the hits

I didn't hate Fox live action X-Men series however nothing could outshine the 90s X-Men animated series it's just a classic. Besides the Fox live action movie X-Men series none of the characters acted like themselves which was weird. But as a kid i remember when the first X-Men movie 🎥 came out 2000 and just appreciated it for what it was.

I remember watching a DVD documentary about Comic books/graphic novels and the movies they inspired which featured a lot of the writers and illustrators behind the said comic books that they helped illustrate and write and I remember one of the writers/illustrators featured actually said word for word "brightly coloured spandex outfits looks great on comic book characters but when you put them on real people it's looks yuck!" Also The black leather outfits were based on motorcycle leathers and someone else in the comments said this also the black leather also helps with stealth and one more thing, some fans will notice this if you look closely at each of the respective characters outfits. Each of them have different colour piping some people will notice that, especially if they're a stickler for detail.

It feels like the more comments I read, the more it feels like people took the suit lines to heart way too much (Personally I do think the outfits could use more yellow, yeah, but it's over with, and we aren't getting these suits back for a good bit)

I hate the black uniform so bad, it looks very generic like any action series ever. XMEN are unique F4 are unique so as Avengers, Eternals too. They are color coded and making it black looks so generic basic considering everyone can look good in black.
Fun fact, Hugh thought he had HEEEEEEEAPS of time to get fit, comes to 4 weeks out and he’s like shit I still got the beer belly, hence all the topless shots in the first cmon were almost all cheat up with Hugh, he never made that mistake again
