Reason number 11 why Israel is bad for Jews incapable of examining its assumptions.

The assumption that a Jewish State is good for the Jews has never been examined by the Israeli government or the Knesset. Israel was unilaterally declared to be a Jewish State on May 15, 1948, by David Ben-Gurion. He promised a Constitution by October 1, 1948, but was not successful in doing so. The immediate wars with Arabs after his declaration and the death of many Jews made it impossible for him and subsequent prime ministers to reexamine the concept of a Jewish State. Delving into that question is a taboo in Israeli society and is rarely questioned. Anti-Zionists are not allowed to serve in the Israeli Knesset. Israel has been in constant wars since its establishment in 1948. Over 25 thousand Israelis have been killed in those wars, hundreds of thousands have been injured, many of them seriously and permanently. Israel's wars have extended into its civilian population, including major cities and population centers. Israel's enemies are becoming more sophisticated and accurate in their ability to fight. Israel is being threatened by Iran, a country on the verge of acquiring nuclear power. Israel has been unable to make peace with the Palestinians and has been occupying 5 million of them under apartheid since 1967. Israel's problems are severe, structural, and permanent. Yet, Israel is incapable of reassessing underlying assumptions about the benefit of a Jewish state to the Jewish people.

Initially, there was a state of the Philistines, this territory was later captured by the Egyptians, then by the Turks, and after the Ottomans it was occupied by Jews under the cover of the British and American authorities. The original inhabitants there were Arabs for one and a half thousand years. Haredim don't recognize the artificially created state of Israel which was pushed through by Brandeis, Truman, Baruch, Frankfurter, Morgenthau, the Rothschilds - they didn't notice the Palestinian Arabs on that territory... The only proper solution for Israelis would be definitely: Halakha and Socialism... Plus building relationships with neighbors... Plain & simple, just to survive :)
