Emily Kraus joseph has actually always had this megamix at the end of the show & i like to think six was partly inspired by this for the megasix! this setting for joseph definitely amplifies the megasix vibes tho tbh
From Gary Bond, to Bill Hutton, Jason Donovan, Philip Schofield, Donny Osmond, Micheal Damian, Stephen Gateley, Lee Mead, Ian ‘H’ Hawtkins, Keith Jack, Joe McElderry, Jac Yarrow, and now Noah Galvin!
I’m in the chorus (thank you, thank you), in the first row directly to the right of the isle. Yes that is me with the purple hair. It was such and awesome night :)
Boy that cowboy with a hat is having a great time. Very cute. This, and other shows have gotten us through this pandemic. I applaud the inclusion, different body sized performers, diversity. I love that the choir was not told to stand erect, but to have a good time.
When and where is this performance? What great energy. This is exactly what we need when theater reopens. Everyone is so engaged and willing to recognize their peers. Must have been exhausting and exciting at the same time.
Ascot Berks This was a one time performance at David Geffen Hall in Lincoln Center, in NYC. I was part of the choir and can confirm this was an awesome experience. I totally wish there was a bit more filmed so that people like you could see this show and truly enjoy it. Apologies!
Just saw another clip of this. For some reason I never imagined I'd see David Archuleta sans shirt. Worth the price of admission alone. I'm kidding, the show looks pretty good and I'm glad he's doing so many things.. he is perfect for this role.
Yup, I couldn’t really understand a ton of the words in this.... like, I know they were singing, and it sounded great... but I could actually understand maybe 10, 15% of it, if that
it is really telling that noah galvin did not get a solo in the finale, and that theatermania does not even have him in the description, which is just hilarious. i am absolutely dumbfounded by that casting decision.
It is good but I don’t like how all American versions of U.K. musicals feel the need to overdo the vocals, I do prefer the west end version from 1991. That’s just my opinion. And I’m not saying this is bad. Their voices are incredible. I would pay good money to see this. It’s excellent in its own way.
Perhaps some of the solos where we could identify a melody and enjoy a beautiful voice would have earned my applause. But I sit on my hands for this ending. It's just a whole mish-mash of thumping, jumping and yelling. Very hard on the ears and not at all soothing on the eyes. I wouldn't pay to sit through it.
It’s the mega mix finale. Essentially the bows. They’re all having fun and showing their stuff. The story’s been told, I feel diction is not the aim of this segment :)
lori s it’s the final number of a one night performance, I think they can afford to lose a bit of diction for fun during what is essentially their bows
those of us who auditioned during the 1980s and 1990s had a saying that between andrew llyold webber and aids, the combination destroyed Broadway and the Broadway community. I saw the original with Bill Hutton and Laurie Beecham, and Evita with Pattie, and Tim Rice was the lyrical genius behind the early webber stuff (superstar was also a magical phenominon). from cats on down webber material with out Tim Rice lost so much lyrical vitality and storytelling freshness. I watched the rehearsal of this, before I watched this (I like to try to give things a fair shake), this was positively dreadful, and make me very sad how much such a wonderful show as Joseph gets destroyed, deconstructed, and reinvented with such a lack of genuine creativity. If this is Broadways greatest talents today (and yes I have seen some of them like Eden in other things and have enjoy him/them), this display was horribly lacking in so many dysfunctional ways.
Joseph has between my favorite musical since 1980, and whilst I can appreciate the energy and some obviously phenomenal singing voices..this updated version is just horrifying. I'm so so sick of American psychology (ans I think the entire rest of the world is too :( and that makes me so sad.
Omg....everyone in the comments are acting like it's the second coming, and it's nothing but a bunch of people trying to outsing each other...it's a bloody curtain call...bow and get off stage...cripes....
I actually think it was really good, especially since they had such little time to complete everything. Also they’re not screaming, they’re belting. There’s a difference. You’re also looking past the fact that this was from a one-night concert, so it’s not like a show where people have spent months and months working diligently to perfectly become the characters that they’re going to play. This is one of the most all-star casts for a show I’ve seen in a while, and it’s honestly crazy impressive how well it is, considering that they put everything together so fast!

Wasn't this a one-night-only production?
BUT WE NEED THIS CAST FOR THE FULL REVIVAL.
PLEASE.
I would be satisfied if this was on Netflix for now, but Joseph Revival would be AMAZING!
I have a better idea. They should make this available for download/stream in exchange for a donation to the Actors Fund!
John evening
Thomas
Came here for Jessica Vosk, left with everyone.
Same
same, came for jessica and eden espinosa
Please make this entire production available to watch!!
I was in the choir and I love all the music and I miss it :(
Look at Eden Espinosa just being wonderful once again.
That is some BKLYN level belting and I'm here for it!
Her No Good Deed is amazing
Please turn this into a cast album!!
This has major megasix energy and I'm SO here for it
Emily Kraus joseph has actually always had this megamix at the end of the show & i like to think six was partly inspired by this for the megasix! this setting for joseph definitely amplifies the megasix vibes tho tbh
This is legit the finale music!! I did this musical and the ending finale was always a bop to sing lmao
Well, usually a megamix is basically a mix of various songs. So this, and the Megasix are amazing ways to end the show
Many shows have a megamix at the end of them which combines most of the songs from the show. Megasix is just a play on words of megamix.
I attended last night, and I was having A BLAST watching from Seat 22 on the second balcony! Congratulations to absolutley everybody!
Lol I was in the chorus. Thanks :)
@@Fishfirecat Wonderful! Oustanding work!
Literally all of my favorite musical theater performers on one stage 😍
Jessica. Vosk. Yes.
Vosking at it's finest
Is no one gonna talk about how BEAUTIFUL the coat is?
0:48 how did these dancers know my basic wakeup dance routine i do getting ready for the day :D XD
This is from a 1980’s workout video
This musical has such a happy place in my heart, so glad to see a revival of this crazy, fun musical!
Jessica Vosk is EVERYTHING!!! ❤❤
watch it, so many times I will get emotional, I will smile and tears will fall. Gorgeous.
How is that freaking building still standing????? Too many epic astronomical voices holy shit!!!!
what i would do to have been in that room
Congrats on ALW classic musical Joseph, fifty years of awsome music and dancing, and to the many stars who have donned the dreamcoat.
From Gary Bond, to Bill Hutton, Jason Donovan, Philip Schofield, Donny Osmond, Micheal Damian, Stephen Gateley, Lee Mead, Ian ‘H’ Hawtkins, Keith Jack, Joe McElderry, Jac Yarrow, and now Noah Galvin!

Robyn Strazisar i scrolled down many comments looking for something about his jorts and here we are!
MY QUEENS EDEN AND JESSICA!!
I watch this about 10 times every week. I need emotional closure. Full scale revival. Now. 😭😭😭
I’m in the chorus (thank you, thank you), in the first row directly to the right of the isle. Yes that is me with the purple hair. It was such and awesome night :)
That room was electric ⚡️ !

That was Joseph’s oldest brother Reuben, he’s usually the one to lead “One More Angel in Heaven.”
1:11-1:25 i cannot stop watching this part it's SO GOOD

This production reminds so much of one that I was just in because of the energy and love between the cast

THE MEGAMIX
It's like the jewish answer to Corpus Christi, I love it
I don't think I've ever heard of a production of Joseph where Joseph is the character that least interests people :D
IM IN THE CHORUS IN THE THIRD ROW RIGHT
I WAS IN THE CHOIR ASWELL!
Does anyone else ever have trouble understanding what words they are singing. Like I just hear singing but I can’t process what they are saying
Yup, I couldn’t really understand a ton of the words in this.... like, I know they were singing, and it sounded great... but I could actually understand maybe 10, 15% of it, if that
I was singing, in the chorus, and I couldent understand most of it lol
@Sam Ross It sounds more like an acoustics/ recording issue
@@Pinkyshy101 They were singing?!
i know all the songs so i knew what they were saying, but if you didnt i understand the struggle
it is really telling that noah galvin did not get a solo in the finale, and that theatermania does not even have him in the description, which is just hilarious. i am absolutely dumbfounded by that casting decision.
Noah Galvin had many solos, including Close Every Door.
@@logan.weisberg oh i meant in the finale.
@@claddagh1826 The megamix doesn't have a solo for him in any versions (besides the small "give me my coloured coat..), not just this one.
I could only hear alex Newell singing in the give me my colored coat piece that was supposed to be noahs
I would pay for the complete show with David Archuleta on dvd!!
There needs to be a cast recording ASAP!
1:12 your welcome.
Eden Espinosa!

My school is doing this show and I’m choreographing this number. Only slightly terrified
Very nice. Do you have a video of the whole show?
This just makes me believe in God again because he let all of these amazingly talented people be in this production based on religion. Like omg
HOLY SHIT
Orchestra inductor??
Fantastic show!!!!
Conductor- auto correct!
ughhhh I love Noah Galvin so much
THAT WAS EDEN ESPINOSA!!!
Happy Pride Month! Thinking about a gay Joseph as a LGBT icon in that Technicolor coat brings a happy tear to my eye!
This looks like well done community theater
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
How can I see this actual show. Or more clips from it
Is there a proshot of this?!
will this be digitally released ?
Martin Ng yes yes. Please please release the whole thing.
10 months later i am still asking the same question @TheaterMania
Wss Donny there at all?
What's the name of the song that Jessica Vosk y singing?
which bit?
Is it just me, or did I hear Mykal Kilgore in there also?
Yep! He played Judah in the show, he’s the one who was belting out that awesome solo of Benjamin Calypso at 1:55
Y U NO SHOW GAVIN?
I need a pro shot and/or soundtrack
How do I see this concert
This is the sassiest Joseph I have ever seen... AND I LAVVVV IT!!!
joseph looks like sam tsui!

I pretty much said the same thing...why must they all out sing each other?
It’s the mega mix finale. Essentially the bows. They’re all having fun and showing their stuff. The story’s been told, I feel diction is not the aim of this segment :)
@@snocelot4lyfe oof...seriously?diction must ALWAYS be important...

A female Pharaoh. Wow.
What the frick is this
A horrible bunch of screaming people trying to out sing each other
This direction and casting was messy 😂 (Except Mykal Kilgore who UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT!)
Wtf did they modernize it
Okay. I'd go to see a female Pharaoh.
My god, this snippet puts me off from getting a ticket ever.
The 180 bpm tempo is headache-inducing.
That Joseph looked so bored...

What's "dreadful" is that you spelt Patti Lupone's name Pattie 😱
This really is awful...so much screaming...can people just not sing melodies anymore? Why so much embellishment?
You have to be kidding, destroyed...have some fun...

Gauche Americans overdoing it as always 😒
I can’t vibe with the actor playing Joseph. And no, I’m not homophobic - I am gay myself.
why cant you vibe with him- i hope you don't mind me asking
