Thank you for the video!! Appreciate it. To anyone who has ever use this pancake lens for their Fuji XA1, mind sharing your thoughts on it? I own an XA1 too and looking to buy this lens for general street/travel use and I don't use it for video shooting. Thanks guyss
I own a Xt1, Xe1, Xt10 and this little gem too, its a secret top camera, the xa 1 is the best you can carry around night and day! Best wishes from Germany, Thommy 😄
XA-1 user here, I can confirm the battery life is good hahahhahah.......the other day I was having a shooting session and took near 500 pictures with full battery, after the shoot it's still in 3 bars
@@SuperSlackOff I have a question though: I'm using kit 50-75mm lens, and is going to buy a 7Artisans 25mm f1.8 lens just like yours. So we normally adjust the aperture size in the camera setting, how does this manual adjust work?
There is a ring on the lens to control the aperture. If you are in shutter priority mode , brightness will auto adjust. Also same on video. You will have no problems. You will need to turn on focus peaking, enable shoot without lens. Thats it , good luck.
Ok, I will make a b roll video. Taking videos with xa1 is easy, there is a dedicated record button on the camera and the settings are in the menu under movie mode. My settings are full hd 30fps video, standard color profile. Manual focus lens.
In the final video, moving around on the bike, which focus mode did you use, it looks pretty well focused and responds fast, right? can you connect via HDMI for video calling?
@@SuperSlackOff Thank you for answering, i mean, im worried about the autofocus, i want be able to record video with the 7 artisans on infinite focus, if i use that option all is un focus all the Time? And you mean i can watch the liveview on a PC, if i connect the camera with a HDMI and capture card? Or only View my saved photos AND videos as slideshow? Sorry for a lot of questions but i loved this camera setup and i gonna get one for 190$
$900 dollars is a lot of money, for just the body. Considering a used X-T30 is half that price and technically better in everyway. I guess you will be paying for that OVF/EVF experience. For $750 we have the Sony RX1 which is full-frame (fixed lens though) or Sony A7RII is going around $850 (5-axis image stabilization, 42MP) . Fuji Makes great cameras, no question there, but its not magical, its just like any other camera, just more compact. The X-Trans sensor coupled with the Fuji Film Simulations adds a bit more edge in the crop-factor camera segment. If you want to experience Fuji then I suggest starting out small, like a XT-20 and see if you like it. If you like it then you can move on to X100 series or Medium format GFX50R later. Since the Fuji Xpro3 is out, people have been selling their Xpro2 at premium prices. If you want to truly experience something magical and hefty size is not an issue, I suggest grabbing a 5D Classic for 350 dollars and getting a 135mm f2L . If you are looking for portability, then Fuji is very much unbeatable right now. $900 is asking a lot, I would go for a Sony A7 and some Zeiss Lens.
@@SuperSlackOff Wow 🤩. I appreciate you taking the time to write such a detailed response. I had the Fuji x-t3 and sold it. I want a more compact system and the Fuji XT-20 seems right down my alley. I absolutely think the Jpeg color science of Fuji is bar none the best in the business having shot with Sony in the past. I have yet to try to Canon so I may be a bit biased as I’ve heard and read good things about their color science as well. Thanks for your in-depth response and I’m certainly going to follow your channel.
Glad I could help man, I have a Fuji XT-20 review on my channel somewhere. But if you have used a Fuji X-T3 then the XT-20 is just going to give you the size benefit and nothing else, technically a downgrade. To be on par with the X-T3 you need the XT-30 which is $660 used. If compact is what you are looking for Sir, may I suggest an old x100f or x100s. Or even better add some more money (like a total of $1200) and get the x100v, in that way you won't have to change camera in the next 3 years. X100 also hold their resale value well.
@@SuperSlackOff I’ve had my eye on an x100f for the longest but even used they’re asking too much. I was looking at the 100t but I’d like more than 16mp so a100s and 100t are out . So far the cheapest 100f I’ve seen is about $750 on eBay in ok condition. They really do hold their value

@@SuperSlackOff thank you - pls keep up the great videos!
Thanks for this. I have an XA3, which I need to use more. I may get a XA1 if I see a good price. Love the photos on the video.
If you already have an xa3 then You'll definitely need to use it more also you dont need the xa1. The xa3 is a great upgrade over it.
@@SuperSlackOff i collect the "vintage" fujis - xt1, xpro1, e1, x100... I use them all. May eventually just keep one of them.

Plz make a video on canon m10.
If I ever have the chance to use or buy it, then I will review it. All my hardware is currently purchased I use day to day as a hobbyist.
In the final video, moving around on the bike, which focus mode did you use, it looks pretty well focused and responds fast, right? can you connect via HDMI for video calling?
You can use hdmi out as video monitoring, no external microphone input. You can do stable footage in any editing software. I use premiere.

7artisan is manual focus lens. You can just record with the camera.
