Looks beautiful! For any future rhinestone/stud project, try E6000 and a toothpick to apply. It doesn't dry instantaneously but they'll stay in place while you're working. Plus, you can do a whole huge project on one pretty cheap tube. Just keep it on a paper plate or something disposable because if you squeeze too much it'll want to drip out after 👑💛
@@AnyaPanda it's an adhesive so it has most of the same "try not to lean over and sniff too hard" warnings I think as any other? I just always try to use it in a well ventilated area but it definitely doesn't have a strong of a smell as something like contact cement. I can't vouch for how safe it is exactly but I can't imagine it's any worse than breathing in super glue 😅.
I use the same crystal glue and in my experience it works better than E6000 for rhinestones. The small tip makes so you can squeeze it directly on the boot, and the E6000 globs always dried up before I could use all of it.
Six the Musical is a dream for me in terms of a cosplay I wanna make. I'm gonna be doing Anne Boleyn and I wanna make the fabric myself by sewing neoprene panels together since I wanna be able to sing and dance in it and have it be up to my knees and with puffed paned sleeves. I might go for a petticoat underneath because I'm not sure if there would be enough volume without it.

I don't normally leave comments on videos but six is one of my all-time favorite musicals, not just because i love character/costume design and I'm a cosplayer and ex-theater kid, but also because I'm a huge history nerd as well. it was also cool to see one of my favorite cosplayers putting this costume together, I've always wanted to cosplay from this musical, but I've never had the confidence to do so, but seeing someone I've watched and admired for a long time do it has given me that nudge I needed. thx Anya you truly are a big inspiration to me

I've always been overwhelmed by the SIX costumes! I know they're designed very meaningfully, but there's so many elements to them that even sketching it out seems like a lot of work. But you actually did it, you mad lad, and showed that not only is it possible but it can be done through mayhem and mishap. Truly, a queen. ✨👑💛✨

Then I end up with a bunch of useless scraps until I go through it all much much later. I like the little learning mistakes like sewing and gluing foam lol been there done that ! After having watch Kirilee Cosplay’s Making Jane Part 1, this came up in my suggestions. 👑💛 Great job with this cosplay! This video also helped me pass the time casting on the stitches for a knitted blanket (twice, because I didn’t give myself enough of a tail to cast on the first time).
For the studs along all the “seams” they actually use iron on studded trim. I’ve never seen any to purchase in gold however. There is an online shop that sells six cosplay materials.
Honestly as someone who's sat and put hundreds and hundreds of cone studs on jackets- I feel your pain with how much time adding studs to stuff takes haha. The cosplay turned out fantstic though so it was definitely worth it! 👑💛

I'm going to be embarking on my own C of A cosplay, so I doth my crown to you for this AMAZING tutorial, your work is STUNNING. Interestingly enough, I saw a close-up reference picture of the chained necklace (which you've probably seen by now because I'm commenting a year later 😂), and they actually glued the chains onto a piece of that flesh toned mesh. I suspect they do this for comfort reasons for the performers, to soak up sweat while performing and avoid irritation, but it's a good idea for us cosplayers too I reckon! Once again, thank you so much for this tutorial... I will be using this as guide!

It has been a slow process of building up materials, and I am still scared of the idea that it seems like such a feat (also sewing rage - always sewing rage). I am so happy I came across your video and channel. Your video makes it easier to break down my project and give me hope.
the Eva foam probably needed to be scored so it would stick better. It's also recommended to use contact cement. Hopefully your next EVA project goes smoother!
Been trying to find a Catherine of Aragon costume for weeks on Etsy and other places and haven’t been able to find anything, let alone anything in my size. I have no idea how to sew and have never made a piece of clothing in my life but I think I might try using this tutorial. It came out so beautifully for you! Wish me luck 😂

You could try a clear plastic like material instead of the elastic on the back that's what my Yor Dress has it'll mean it won't be visible (just wanted to give an idea if you wanted accurate)
Once it was on you couldn't even tell anything was uneven because of the way it stretches over your upper body, mistakes and miracles! I love with the headband was such an accidental blessing when it came off, it's amazing when you do something by accident and it ends up working out so much better than you expected. I also appreciate you showing when something doesn't go quite right with a cosplay, it both gives reminders of what to be careful about when making a cosplay for people in the future and also just shows that mistakes happen and it's okay. Tiny details going wrong are not the end of the world.

The reason that the skirt wanted to lay flat was because it should be cut as a full or 1/2 circle skirt! That would give you much more of a stick out look.

I’m great hunting for pieces and altering them to make them fit my character and adding the accessories so you know who I am. But I really want to learn how to make something and I want it to be fun and loveable. I am just afraid this is going to be a challenge.

Is E6000 toxic? :O I avoided using it because I know it has the skull and crossbones logo on it and I'm scared of chemicals. 😅

For the studs along all the “seams” they actually use iron on studded trim. I’ve never seen any to purchase in gold however. There is an online shop that sells six cosplay materials.
Honestly as someone who's sat and put hundreds and hundreds of cone studs on jackets- I feel your pain with how much time adding studs to stuff takes haha. The cosplay turned out fantstic though so it was definitely worth it! 👑💛

I'm going to be embarking on my own C of A cosplay, so I doth my crown to you for this AMAZING tutorial, your work is STUNNING. Interestingly enough, I saw a close-up reference picture of the chained necklace (which you've probably seen by now because I'm commenting a year later 😂), and they actually glued the chains onto a piece of that flesh toned mesh. I suspect they do this for comfort reasons for the performers, to soak up sweat while performing and avoid irritation, but it's a good idea for us cosplayers too I reckon! Once again, thank you so much for this tutorial... I will be using this as guide!

the Eva foam probably needed to be scored so it would stick better. It's also recommended to use contact cement. Hopefully your next EVA project goes smoother!
Been trying to find a Catherine of Aragon costume for weeks on Etsy and other places and haven’t been able to find anything, let alone anything in my size. I have no idea how to sew and have never made a piece of clothing in my life but I think I might try using this tutorial. It came out so beautifully for you!

You could try a clear plastic like material instead of the elastic on the back that's what my Yor Dress has it'll mean it won't be visible (just wanted to give an idea if you wanted accurate)

Once it was on you couldn't even tell anything was uneven because of the way it stretches over your upper body, mistakes and miracles! I love with the headband was such an accidental blessing when it came off, it's amazing when you do something by accident and it ends up working out so much better than you expected.
I also appreciate you showing when something doesn't go quite right with a cosplay, it both gives reminders of what to be careful about when making a cosplay for people in the future and also just shows that mistakes happen and it's okay. Tiny details going wrong are not the end of the world.

In making a Parr costume with the pants and half skirt thing, and I thought of Eva foam as well and I’m also having a hard time shaping it to stick out 😂😭

The reason that the skirt wanted to lay flat was because it should be cut as a full or 1/2 circle skirt! That would give you much more of a stick out look.

I’m great hunting for pieces and altering them to make them fit my character and adding the accessories so you know who I am. But I really want to learn how to make something and I want it to be fun and loveable. I am just afraid this is going to be a challenge.
