when my mother had cancer we talked about a similar situation and it was by far the hardest conversation of my life when we was alone she asked me if I'd end her suffering when she was ready I said no at first then few days later when she begged me i broke down crying and said ok if im honest i didnt care about prison at the time a few hours later she was rushed to hospital as her breathing was getting worse sadly she passed away if I'm honest if she didnt go to hospital at that time i probably would of done it for her, she was my world and the best mother i could of wish for .So Well done billy giving your love one his dying wish x
Is hard watching someone you love who’s in so much pain and you don’t know how to make it better.
This storyline makes us fully aware how deadly motor neurone disease really is.
To those who’ve lost someone they loved to this disease my deepest sympathies.
Honestly, the storyline brings awareness
As a severely disabled person myself I really don’t like how the entertainment industry portray terminal illnesses and long term severe disabilities. There’s many of these storylines of the person ending their life because they can’t cope with losing control but I can’t think of one that actually shows the person accepting the situation and living their live the best way possible. Another thing that I don’t like is how they fast forward illnesses, in real life it could take years for it to progress. I don’t think it’s helping the disabled community
@@danielelliott5760 I can understand
@@danielelliott5760 while I understand why Paul wants to die before MND takes his life
I agree
Soaps don't tend show people living with a acquired disability and coming to terms with it
They die leave or magically get better
The only character I remember ever remaining with a major disability
Was Chris Tate in Emmerdale and he was quite bitter miserable and became more meaner and nasty
The acting and writing in this scene is amazing.
This scene was beautiful and so sad to watch. The actors are so amazing and talented ❤😢
Reminds me of Emmerdale Aaron and Jackson story❤
It so hard to see your loved ones suffering like Paul I’ve seen many loved ones suffer like that
The storyline have been amazing
This reminds me of Hayley's storyline when she wanted to take control.
@@JoshuaDillon03them/they 😅
Hope they don’t just copy it would be great to see how he copes with his MND sad as it is
Not Harold 😂😂😂😂
I just realised wouldn’t it soon not be 10 years ago since that happened ? I can’t remember
@@Juliaplanshow is this copying ? Cancer and MND are completely different illnesses/conditions
These two were amazing in last night's episode couldn't keep my eyes of it and it was so touchy
Billy's a good man.
Paul is a very lucky man to have someone like Billy in his life.
How is Billy a good man
Exactly@@Agent-cz9rj
For starters, he nver washes his hands with people!@@BlueAndWhiteAreRight
@@BlueAndWhiteAreRighthow is he not?
Poor Billy and Paul bless them both xx 😘 ❤️
In Canada there is program (MAID),
Medical assistance in dying. This is done by an authorized doctor or nurse practitioner provides. They administers medication that intentionally brings about a person’s death, at that person’s request.
I have watch one friend a a client do it. The process is peaceful...like they are sleeping.
It’s illegal in the UK though
I get people who are terminally ill wanting to end their life but I don’t want to see Paul die. I really wanted to see Paul illness to progress and really see what it’s like for someone living with mnd. As much as I love coronation street I feel like they are rushing this storyline because they don’t want to make it boring for the viewers but this storyline is definitely amazing. I also really love billy and Paul’s relationship and the acting is phenomenal. 😢❤
YOU ARE LITERALLY WATCHING IT PROGRESS IN THE STORY LINE!!!!!!!! THEY JUST SUFFER AND SUFFER AND SUFFER AND THEN DIE.. WHY WOULD YOU WANT SOMEBODY TO GO THROUGH PAIN LIKE THAT ?
There are real cases out there filmed, it gets really bad, just not be able to move, the body starts shutting down, unable to breathe...
It's also good to show what should be possible for the people that want the other option (some travel abroad, since it's still difficult in the UK).
I wouldn't help someone do that because I'll be in trouble for doing that
@@BlueAndWhiteAreRight no you wouldn’t. they have things to help people choose this.
@literalbaddiee in some country's yes but in England no
Paul😢
I feel so sorry for Billy what a horrible thing to be in True love 💕
O brother
We will miss you paul
It's all about getting the word out
"I'll make it easy... When the time comes... I'll help you... I bought you the Twilight boxset."
billy well said well done wow xoxo love is paul billy xoxo
To be honest, I don’t blame him, MND is a cruel condition and only gets worse with time I’d probably do the same thing
Me too
@@Rebecca_Bailey Exactly. Billy can tell Paul his reasons as to why he doesn't Paul to end his own life, it won't change his feelings in any way. Considering Billy's own brush with drugs back in 2018, he's a hypocrite.
So heartbreaking
Paul and Billy what a sad storyline also other members of the family when it happens so sad for them all xxxlol Corrie or EastEnders great TV at present all the best 3:20
I see someone is inspired by Aaron and Jackson from Emmerdale
No! I definitely do not want Paul to die like that!
See u can already tell its its puals larst year
So an early R.I.P for him
Mt sister in law ha MN it’s truly awful the brain is ok so you are you and aware of everything truly awful. She put herself in hospital Xmas eve and r3fused a stent in her stomach to feed her. It took over a week to pass with little nursing care. You wouldnt see an animal suffer like that. But it’s not only MN many people have to starve themselves to death rather than suffer it takes around 10/14 days to pass its cruel and inhuman. Everybody should be allowed to choose how they go, not men in suits miles away from a bedside. I think coronation street are doing a marvellous job of bringing this to people’s attention. If you did a survey I bet 70/80 %would vote to have a peaceful death at a time of their choosing not to suffer on an overcrowded ward with little staffing or pain relief
Billys face when looking out of the window what should i do what a situation he is in xxxlol 4:52
To talented actors xxxlol 0:43
Imho?
If its moter neurone or a neroogical ossue like dentia or Alziemers I would wasnt the exact same thing
It just literally sucks the emotional life out everyone exposed to it
I thought Tod was going through the legal process of end of life but he’s not it’s legal here in parts of Canada but must be pre approved by Dr
really sad
Just Get On With It; I'm losing the will to live myself, watching it...
Agreed.
So funny watching evelen in the glasses and when she got caught she jumped out of her skin great viewing xxxlol 4:52
Poor Billy 😭😭😭😭
Paul "what when this hand doesn't work?" ... we know what you’re up to!
@tombartram7384 What do you think it is?
That old chestnut.
I don't paul to die
It's wrong, very wrong, and this kind of storyline is going to up the level of suicide. People are suffering from so many issues, mental health, loneliness, poverty, and so on. People will misunderstand all this. People will start taking their own lives thinking they are either a burden on others or their life is not important. Suicide is wrong.
We didn't ask to be born so it's our choice weather we take our own lives stop crying and get over it death will always win nobody belongs to anybody and also nobody owns anybody eva where not slaves we are all our own individual person where not toys 😂🖕
@@liamholmes3071 💯 facts can't believe the world is still brainwashed into thinking that suicide is wrong and people own other people like there property just ignore her stupid comment bro and other people's stupid comments on here that say this storyline is wrong 😂👍
If Bernie, Gemma and/or Billy was diagnosed with an incurable illness such as cancer, MND or MS, then that would make their arguments against Paul wanting to end his own life untenable.
@@blackmenareweaklikemikepus1580 Exactly. I think it's time the UK caught up and changed the legislation on assisted dying that some would argue, should've been done many many years ago.
@@daisybee5943 I'm very sorry, but I think it's time the UK caught up and changed the legislation on assisted dying that some would argue, should've been done many many years ago.
where is Todd
Very sad episode
Reusing the same storyline like Hayley and Roy or are the writers just being lazy again?
😢😢😢
Know it doesn’t compare but it happens to animals everyday and there is little thought about it.Hope when my day comes I’m not in this position.
He’s a supportive mate
He’s his husband
Husband*
Has he got mnd irl
No he's acting it
Also have to say claire sweeney should go undercover following abbie xxxlol much better than evelen tailing trevor xxxlol all the best 3:04
Billeh
Paul );
How can this guy be a ‘vicar’? Absolute joke of a storyline, assisted suicide is wrong on all levels.
I don't believe it's an "absolute joke of a storyline", but I DO agree that assisted suicide is wrong on all levels.
Just pray you don't ever have a sick disease that eating you away and you CANT DO A THING ABOUT IT
At the end of the day it’s love
@@CC-zw9ku It’s not love - it’s disordered. As the great theologian St Thomas Aquinas put, ‘Love is to wish the good of the other’, then there is no other good than to be closer to our Creator. Assisting in suicide and denying the natural - is grave and immediately shuts us off from God’s Grace and from being close to him.
Therefore, we ought to deny ourselves and do what is pleasing to God and let thy will be done, rather than our own feeble will be done. Though it is difficult in this day and age, we know that God’s mercy is ready to be poured out on those who wish to turn their backs on the ways of the world.
@@jroff7475 I'm very sorry, but I think it's time the UK caught up and changed the legislation on assisted dying that some would argue, should've been done many many years ago.

Sad new 😢 be Paul is death
Aw :(
Sad new be Paul is death 😢 sad new of Billy my boyfriend Paul death 😢 💔
Why can't the soaps nowadays be a bit more surprising instead of rehashing old ideas? This is one storyline that's been done way too many times.
Fair point
Try eastenders.
yes i guess but new gens watch it like 14-18 or 20-40 40-80
But the subject never gets talked about or debated anywhere near enough the government just doesn’t listen
sad
as paul is leaving soon they’re setting up adam and harvey to be the next big gay couple on the street
Oh God this is awful ,
Hurry up and get on with it. Sick of both of them
