Legnani copositions are in a class by themselves Whittingham's rendition is superb ; each note is played with perseverence and clarity to enhance tonal excellence.

Thanks Siccas. Once again you've broadened my musical knowledge. Must have been a golden era for music when mr Legniani was around. Not sure if i'm 100% correct, but i believe Mauro Guiliani and Fernando Sor were composing and playing at roughly the same time.
Yes, you are right. I was a golden age of the guitar.
Actually this was the second golden age. The first golden age was in the 1600’s with the baroque guitar with composer’s like Sanz, Corbetta, deVisee, etc. Like if the golden age of SNL was in the Belushi/Ackroyd years, the second golden age was the years with Carvey/Farley.

At 10:30 is op. 20 n. 7 in a major, not the n. 2 in e minor.
The image in the thumbnail is actually of D. Aguado playing his guitar with his invention - the tripodium. There is no known paintings, lithographs, or photos of Legnani known to exist.

Si se pretende ofrecer un homenaje a Legnani, lo lógico y sensato sería poner un retrato de él y no de Mauro Giuliani.
Esa imagen no es de Giuliani... es Dionisio Aguado, y por otro lado, no se conoce ninguna iconografía de Legnani, no hay por ahora ningún retrato de él que sea conocido, lo que es muy raro dada la fama que tuvo y que murió en 1877 cuando ya el arte de la fotografía era muy extendido. Saludos

Nice performances but... Really not my favourite composer so crass sounding, 'look at me' only nowhere as good as Sor and Guilliani on compositional thematic development and structure.
Interrupt the sound in as she did is not musical.
