hmm...
would be nice to see a discord server in the future)
sorry to be so off topic but does anybody know a tool to get back into an Instagram account??
I stupidly lost the account password. I love any help you can offer me
@Micah Michael Instablaster ;)
@Bryce Eden Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and Im in the hacking process now.
Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
@Bryce Eden it worked and I now got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thank you so much, you saved my ass!
I have a severe hearing loss and was at first disappointed that there weren't any subtitles to this video but decided to watch your video anyway. I discovered I could follow exactly every word you said all the way through! Not sure if it is the audio quality that is "compatible" with my hearing aids or you have an excellent voice but it worked anyway. :-D
wheyy thats good to know!!! it zhould have subtitles now by the way. :D
Here's just yelling at you, as usual :))
@@fffUUUUUU :-D Well, it works very well for me.
Sam, don't ever change.
I find it really interesting that you’re watching a video all about changing sound despite having hearing loss. Are you a synth enthusiast? If you are, to what extent can you hear everything? I mean this with no intent of offense, btw. Just curious.
@@sonicsupersam7793 That is a good question, I have had 70% hearing loss in both ears from birth (I'm 55) and have worn analogue post aural hearing aids all my life, but they've never been very good at "mimicking normal hearing". But the relatively recent introduction of digital post aural aids is a life changer where they enable me to hear a much wider spectrum of sound. That means I'm discovering new sounds in my Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze and Jean Michel Jarre LP & CD albums collection (yes, always have been a fan of synthesizer music). I still rely on subtitles on TV and here on UA-cam but thanks to these digital hearing aids, I have found myself being able to follow audio-only with relative ease, like I only need to have the volume quite low on my digital radio to listen to Radio 2 and can easily make out what is being said or played.
Congratulations on a year of inspiring so many DIY synthers! I mostly hate online forums but yours is exceptional, friendly and helpful and a real lack of taking things too seriously. Anyone who's even thinking about building synth stuff should take a look.
At 77 my comment is this - Ahhhh the energy of youth! You are an amazing young man. Carry on. Oh, and by the way. Let's all be kind to each other. The planet badly needs it right now.
A fine years work, kept us guys n gals sane during the slightly difficult times... Glad to be able to support the continued work.
Thanks a lot robin! And glad your enjoying the builds 😁😁😁
So bloody cool seeing everyone's input! Such a great community
This is so cool to see DIY synths people build. There's a LOT of enthusiasm and passion behind these things. I find it very inspiring and beautiful.
Mate, you've got me building my own modular synth, not just because it's fun and even more fun to make music, but you learn quite a bit of electrical engineering along the way. Many thanks to you, sir!
Yeah it's good ain't it! Nothing like a bit of learning 😁😁
Sure is, @@LOOKMUMNOCOMPUTER! I'll sign up to the forum and get on board. Smashing stuff.
That's how I started and it's been going great learned a bunch and still growing. Even if it gets difficult accept the challenge. Wish you luck!
Thanks @@CircularMirror7!
You inspired me to get into making synth music / building machines and I'm so much happier than I was, thank you
Super cool to see the variety of things people make on the forums. Endless inspiration.
Great Video it was fun showing some stuff off. Thanks for the opportunity. :)
Hey! Thanks for submitting awesome 😁😁😁
Honestly, I am amazed at your capacity to manage your time beyond all else.
Yeah I'm like, how many hours this guy has? Does he sleep? Is he working 40h a day?
@@maboleth How can he solder so much, record so much music, and run a youtube channel? It makes me want a cup of coffee just thinking about it! (in a good, motivated sort of way)
Key/Beatstep pro
@@robertsyrett1992 Ikr. The guy is like making so many props, doing a museum, making a Lego symphony orchestra with sick and mad skills, doing a YT channel and Patreon, soldering, singing, making videos, vintage synths, modules... :O
I think he does this full time?... Still, yeah very, very impressive with what he does. He's kind of like a modern day Joe Meek.
Awesome work Sam. I swear you never go to sleep lol. Those modules are looking awesome.
hahahaha i wish you were lieing!±!! i do work a tad too much. but canny help maself!!! loving your synth btw!!!
@@LOOKMUMNOCOMPUTER You should get an apprentice, that helps you a lot with work and a tad with becoming more responsible... ; )
@@LOOKMUMNOCOMPUTER Thanks dude :-)keep up the work that never ceases to amaze me.
Oh man its Adamski! Guys if you haven't check out his videos for the synth project he has been engineering for a while now!
How you entertain us while doing this is especially amazing. Thank you!
Been watching a ton of your videos...and feel that I need to drop you a few words.
Gratitude.
Amazing.
Inspirational.
High energy.
Can't stop watching.
Ready to down to it.
Keep doing your thing man...and we will follow.
Love you, Sam! 🥰
So instead of the usual friday drinking i stayed inside and started working on my midi controller, as well as started listening to your music. Thanks for sharing with us!
Yes i saw you live and i was also very suprised by how tall you are... It just puts your synth in perspective in a way
😂haha it's a thing!!!
Love your work, music, and all the crazy ideas you come up with
😁
I really appreciate the work you do Sam!! Keep on keeping on brother!!
I have been having such difficulty deciding on a filter to build for my normalized synth. This thing has such personality, I absolutely love it!
Thank you for your great videos! You‘re one of the people that inspired me to build synths and go to college for audio engineering. Keep up the great work!
Nice one Sam! Great to see the inclusion of all the community projects, great work everyone!
you make very satisfying module engineering content and very nice music!
Such a great first year for Kosmo modules; looking forward to the next one and many more!
I'm always in awe of how much you accomplish.
Ooh yeah!!! Good content! Thank you Sam
woah it's so cool seeing all the systems people are building!
Loved seeing the community jams.
Great stuff!
Gotta gonna love this series.
Great vibe at 7:20, Thomas Dolby remniscent, vocalizing over electronic build, haha! Awesome stuff man, love it a lot, so fun. :-)
You are a bloody genius, love your work
Fuckin' weepin' from the sound at 12:00 on. Love your sounds, work and explanations.
Excellent!!!!!!!!! Really tasty bit of kit yo
Im so proud of this community!
Wicked channel. Respect.
watching your videos always makes me have to play my synth right after
Talk about making the world a better place... you're on the next level friend
@6:22 you should incorporate this rotory dial into your synth. love your channel. Great job!!!
You sir, are next level!!! 🦾😉 🔥🔥🔥
Insane how many outworldish sounds you manage to pull out with just a few knob twists and carefuly chosen fx.
Its dreamy to have people building circuits because of you, super cool
It's super cool ain't it 😁😁😁 proper chuffed with it
sweet! gotta grab more of your samples!
It's really interesting and amusing that people talk about your height when they meet you. The subtle cues our brain uses to assume things with most modular synths being eurorack. haha
Oh man that 1114 VCF is insane! I love it! I hope I can make one that fits in a 3U format!
"troubleshooting on stage." Good god, I though I was the only one!!!
Love from Australia!!
you are one of the gifted of our generation,
The old pulse dialling ring in one of the modules was really cool. Also I spotted quite a few buttons that look like they might one day have been part of a Street Fighter 2 arcade machine...
I purchased the filter before i wached this vidio. I wish i wached it before. i would have ordered 3!! What a sound. oh boy.
Holy crap it's almost a year I saw you in Amsterdam. I hope next year I can come and see you again!
Nice build mate
That’s dope
15:05 - 16:00 : Some _PROPER_ techno bangers right there :D
That DOD tune rocks.
I love building these
I *am*. I *am* a happy camper. How did you know?! Also cheers to all the Kosmo community for the wonderful thonks at the end of the vid!
GUINNESS BOOK WORLD RECORD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that filter is sick
Somebody hire this man!
I dig the beat starting at 18:56
Slow your scroll...wanna see all the great work from the forum, and hear a monster track using the Sega FM monster.
Love all your work and knowledge...big help and inspiration to the DIY community
I likle your stripboard designs!
14:50 CC TOP - such a cool name!
Wow your livegig in bitterzoet I'll never forget. Especially the vomit intermezzos❤️
Very nice sur
Mucho love and blessings coming from Texas. I will one day build one of these ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
:D
@@LOOKMUMNOCOMPUTER I’ve got such a builder boner for this setup. And Would love to take the journey into building one and Sharing it with those around me.
Lovely sounding vcf! I’ll build mine with a HPF input anyway! :p
Edit: One thing I will say is, selling things as a complete kit with all the parts would be more attractive to people, because sourcing things from different places and having multiple small packages coming at you (ooo err) can be a bit of a hassle.
Mate you’ve taken me from neglecting my ol Microkorg (it was sat there gathering dust), to buying a Behringer Crave and Cat because of the patching options, and seriously contemplating building a few of your megadrone pcbs/panels so I can fade between chords on them!
20cm does make things way less cramped in terms of pots and laying out surface mount components!
Man your awesome
The SNES has quite a powerful sound chip, you could probably use them for a really retro self modulating oscillator
Yeah, but the SNES spc 700 is mostly a sampling based chip as far as I’m aware. To be fair, it’s probably my least favorite retro soundchip mostly because of how flat it sounds (lack of dynamics). I prefer the classic programmable sound generators and the FM stuff. On the other hand, the SPC 700 has some cool effects built in such as reverb and echo. The SNES under utilised it due to memory constraints with the cartridges.
U R amazing. hi from France :)
:D :D
DUD has the best sound. The Berurier Noirs poster helped too 😀👍
merci et salut à toi ! ;)
@@SBender36 😂
Je suis paf 🦒
Thumbs up! 👍
DUD is a BEAST!
thx to you ! ;)
Sick
You should look into doing the sit-down style gigs that the wytches are doing. I think it'd work really well with what you do
That almost sounds like the Minimoog's internal mixer feedback. Then you hit the switch and it got weird.
Love your videos! You should make a guitar like the casio, but with a Gameboy instead of a cassette player
lol you have read my mind lolll
@@LOOKMUMNOCOMPUTER omg im hyped
Man that's a super acidy filter!
💯💯💯SUPER💯💯💯
I wish I had the room to build something like this. I barely have room to fit my Motif 6 and Laptop! It's blocking a bookshelf.
sell the Motif ;) and get analogue
@@robinclayton8284 I love the Motif.
The DUD track was cool 15:15
thx a lot guy ! ;)
Game over Im subbed.
You're too cool and clever to not listen too.
5:50 Oh my!
I would love to get into modular synths but I'm permanently totally and utterly broke.
I know the feeling in the worst way.
Siiicckkk
Great job! By what logic do you number your modules? In my opinion it looks chaotic :D
Woop woop simeon Rodgers!
nah, not first! but comment n like for some youtube algorithm lol
:D
That 1114 filter grr is absolutely disgusting. I love it.
11:30 you entered the cyberpunk zone
I really think he owns a knob factory 😁
this may not work but i cant get this idea out of my head:
a cv controlled hurdy gurdy type thing, where you can control the wheelspeed via cv and gate, the strings are attached to a stepper motors so you can control pitch. this could get some nice drones and rhythms by modulating the wheelspeed.
Ah ha! I was wondering which part of the country I'd need to visit to come to The Museum.... and you let it slip in this video. ;)
I'm thinking about making some kind of semi-modular synth thing, but is there a simple way to make a sine wave lfo? I know you can make square wave and triangle wave ones pretty simply, but is there a way short of using one of those monolithic function generator ICs, like the cem3340?
Edit: LFO, not VCO, I'm a fool
Sam, for building these to eurorack size myself, maybe on a stripboard? Are there schematics of the modules put on the website/patreon? Thanks for the vid!
All schematics on my site :)
Some very Kraftwerk sounds you got going on there.... So sick
man, thats some dirty bleeps, love it :D
