it's pretty easy to understand, you send pixies to the correct wire, and the wav trigger sends singing pixies (i.e. sound) out according to which wire they came in. the arduino saves the time you take between each button press and sends pixies out on the channel it's recorded in with the same timing.
YES! Just got my own Big Button to work. Not as fancy as yours. But it works. And by now I'm utterly and completely hooked on building my own modular. Thanks a lot, I guess :D
This is like a cross between radio station MC, rave DJ and Grand National commentator. I'm not even planning on making a BIG BUTTON and not ready to start building stuff yet, but I love coming here because, this is just good ol' commentary, and the enthusiasm is contageous.
2020 and everytime I watch your videos I am amazed at how brilliant you are with electronics. You are far beyond your years. Never stop. Bring the world your incredible knowledge and amazing music. Thank you. 😁
I love how u showed the parts makes it alot easier to find and reconstruction the idem thanks Sam keep up the amazing teaching and working your dream to the fullest
I saw you on Point Blank, and here I am! I'm nearly finished a resto job on a Tek 2467B 'scope and then I'm starting to build an analog synth. I'm on enough weed and tramadol that your antics make perfect sense... your delivery kind of reminds me of a mental, middle-of-the-night, staggered-in-from-the-club-hungry cookery program from the nineties. Chip butties with crisps and pepperami, sort of thing. I learned useful lessons from that, too! Carry on!
I have been in love with synthetic sounds my entire life. I got all the parts to make my own on the way. I’m not using an arduino though. I’m using opamps and pots. So excited.
Each video I'm seeing from you, I'm aching more to build a DIY Synth.. I just thought about "but which part do i start with" and it seems that this box will be it :D
Ive been subbed for about a month now. And i cant help but notice that your building and items you need sectoions are sorta like a mix between indie mogul and old kids bbc stuff haha. Lovin it.
It can seem challenging at first. If you really want to do this, it might be good to start out with a kit. Maybe a MFOS Weird Sound Generator. Or a guitar pedal from DIY guitar pedal. The 6 minute fuzz is easy. You just populate the board with the correct components according to the directions and soldier them in. Or in the case of the 6 minute fuzz, just soldier the components. Just for anyone looking to get into it, it's possible. If a chowderhead like me can do it, anyone can. Lol.
This is awesome! I love your videos. I've been hacking a phone lately and been getting into electronics for music deeper. Your videos have been really inspiring.
I’m binge watching all the videos I feel so nostalgic like I haven’t seen this stuff in years also wow man 10/10 for building such awesome stuff you are totally rad man
Brother you are totally awesome you made my day made me laugh and your video's are very inspiring and creative thank you for sharing your vids cheers mate!!!
This is really so incredible. I'm just getting into modular and the whole soldering/diy thing and this sounds like the most fun and useful project to get started with, not to mention cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeap! You are doing amazing work, sir. (tips hat)
LOL !! Not sure if you're taking the piss, but i can tell you when he does that jam to demo the box i kept thinking "Wow! Hope he makes a song using that..." If he comes to perform near Cincinnati, OH i'd like to go see him.
Mum you may be the only one on the world who can do this. Your mission is to mod and turn baldwin fun machine into full modular synth. Over and out soldier!
The arduino actually has built in pull up resistors, you just tell the pin to go high like you would an output so you could do this without the resistors.
You and Wintergatan are my favourite channels on whole YT. Real creators, who made tools... to create art. So damn cool. LOVELY!
how about a MarbleSynthMachine?!
how about colinfurze?
You guys are awesome!
Furze don't create art. He make cool things, becouse they are cool, not creative tools.
you should check this channel
ua-cam.com/channels/ximsD7EJ38jzCNgfP_YTmA.html
The shit you make is some kind of insane magical wizardry and I understand none of it. but please for the love of god keep doing it.

manaquri There's always one.
@@XChillX42 there are lots of pixies
What an insane genius you are!! 😁😁😁
I love seeing you confortable with your design. This is what diy is about.
this video got me way too excited at around 2:50, now this gets on my building bucket list
YES! Just got my own Big Button to work. Not as fancy as yours. But it works. And by now I'm utterly and completely hooked on building my own modular. Thanks a lot, I guess :D
One more great soul teaching the public that electronics is a wonderful art form. :-) 🦊
The extroverted Aphex Twin.
7542 1534 LMAO
Indeed haha
Or the Colin Furze of audio diy... 😉
for real? Never saw machines of the Aphex but I know he is a Voltage Pioneer. Love his work
Why couldn’t my physics 2 lab been more like this...
Marissa Hamra haha!
I have simply never seen a comment I have agreed with more than this
'cuz you could have fun, and there is no fun allowed there...
Feel u bro
I'm happy he makes music instead of things that go boom. Mad scientist. Very entertaining.
This is like a cross between radio station MC, rave DJ and Grand National commentator. I'm not even planning on making a BIG BUTTON and not ready to start building stuff yet, but I love coming here because, this is just good ol' commentary, and the enthusiasm is contageous.
I like "Big Button" and I cannot lie.
True edutainment of the highest level, sir
There is no one I would rather watch on this silly site. Thank you x
2020 and everytime I watch your videos I am amazed at how brilliant you are with electronics. You are far beyond your years. Never stop. Bring the world your incredible knowledge and amazing music. Thank you. 😁
7:13 gave me chills, love it

That 80's one is awesome. Absolute genius!
Possibly the most entertaining content creator out there.
I have been in love with synthetic sounds my entire life. I got all the parts to make my own on the way. I’m not using an arduino though. I’m using opamps and pots. So excited.
The UI is pretty clever there
youtube need more knowledge, need more people like you, thanks!!
Each video I'm seeing from you, I'm aching more to build a DIY Synth..

You Sir, take a bow!
Holy shit, amazing . That bass line is sick
This is so sick definitely wanna make this, Always need another drum sequencer
this guy is insane and i love it
Ive been subbed for about a month now. And i cant help but notice that your building and items you need sectoions are sorta like a mix between indie mogul and old kids bbc stuff haha. Lovin it.
What a pleasant surprise to see you on tv! Love your work
:D crazy hey! hahaha
UHHHHHH I CANT STOP WATCHING!!!!! I m gonna make this thing!!!
Sam is just unstoppable
You're a wizard harry
shit I might actually do this man. You are a true inspiration.
All I've ever done is replaced the fuse in a synth
Love your substance over style but still somehow making it look cool.
So full energy man.. awesome.
I don't understand anything of what you're doing, I just love listening to your accent

You're my new favourite artist... Or what ever
6:19 I like how you give it the bird to delete. That makes a lot of sense.
This dude is awesome! He’s like the Colin Furze of analog synthesis.
damn I think I found my favorite series to watch now FINALLY
Best DIY video yet.
Mylar: Ace.
LMNC: Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!
Haha, great commentary, like an enthusiastic sport radio commenter :)
Mirodin Right? Like in a professional soccer game, but way more fun, interesting AND educational! :)

Si lo que haces es real, eres un genio, fascinante
Love all of your videos!

Not sure if you're taking the piss, but i can tell you when he does that jam to demo the box i kept thinking "Wow! Hope he makes a song using that..." If he comes to perform near Cincinnati, OH i'd like to go see him.
..very informative brother thank you..
Mum you may be the only one on the world who can do this. Your mission is to mod and turn baldwin fun machine into full modular synth. Over and out soldier!
You should do a tutorial on diy voltage controller like a keyboard and how you hook it up to control a oscillator
Trying to learn about making my own modulators
That Furby Organ definitely needs a sequencer.
You deserve at least 700k subs
I don't know why, but your face remembers me Bono Vox from U2
This is excellent
What a great channel!
Excellent my guy
You are proper bonkers mate.
Bravoooooo Sam!!!!
Can’t wait to try this out!
he is a wizard harnessing the power of electricity
Amazing! Definitely going to build this!
T'es un malade mec !
Love what you are doing man, keep up the great work.
