Thanks for this video. I installed a bed rack two months ago and was trying to figure out how to put some storage on it for my recovery gear. This did the trick. This was a great quick to the point video. Also, it is so much easier to get to my recovery stuff.
So pumped it helped! Thanks for checking it out!!!
Packout and Ryobi have mounting plates. More expensive, but it is easier to remove.
Yeah, thought about it. The goal was a rugged and easy solution that was low cost, but those are great options for those that don't mind spending a little more!
Yep. My Tacoma bed is layered with them. I have about 20 ridged boxes, but Ridgid doesn’t make a baseplate, so I ended up first buying a couple of the Milwaukee xl boxes and have added to them since. Later I found some aftermarket baseplates for Ridgid, so I added some aftermarket Milwaukee feet to those so I can mount them to the Milwaukee baseplates. I then added more feet to things like the baseplate of a gas can, a platform for a hydraulic jack, and soon to add for a platform for a cordless air compressor.
They look like some heavy duty cases. They will keep anything clean on the trail. Nice!
Thank you! I think they are going to hold up great! Super impressed with them!
THANK YOU! i have been looking for something like this that is under 8 inches deep! generally i could only find the bigger they go the thicker/deeper they get and i didn't want them to stick out! great video!
You are welcome!!!! So glad I could help solve this for! Please let me know if I can help more!!!!
Nice and affordable project. I’m gonna research how to mount those cases to the rear side window on my wrangler.
@@RDOverland that would be awesome!
I loved the video and added one to my rack. I just completed my video of my likes and dislikes of my rack and adding this box was a great find. Thank you. I linked my video back to yours.
Thank you so much!! I'm so pumped the video was helpful and you were able to get yourself one! I'll check out the video as soon as I can! Thank you so much for the link back! Send me a photo on IG messenger so I can repost it!
Really like the project wish you would have put in some more Footage of the final product
Thank you so much! Sorry about that, analytics show that most people skip that part of the video so I tried to keep it short and sweet!
I would be more than happy to send you photos or video of anything you wanted to see!!!
Inside the cases you can use a rubber washer under the metal one and it will seal it up good, too.
That's a fantastic suggestion! Thank you!
I had similar idea to mount one of these to my ATV rack to hold trail gear because of the low profile of the Husky boxes, vs bulkier aftermarket ATV specific boxes.
Doooiiittttttt!!!!
Nice and for the right price.
Yep! It all worked out great! So pumped you liked the video!
Thanks for the video
You are super welcome! Glad you enjoyed it!
That looks good, nice work👍
Thanks so much! Appreciate you checking out the video!
just installed these on our 4runner and love it! any specific suggestion on tested locks before i dive in into going thru all the options out there?
Love it! So pumped it worked out for y'all! I've not tested any specific locks yet but I think ones with the longer "U" portion or gun barrel locks would work really well! Let me know what you find! I'm sure others could benefit as well!
@@Overlanderoos great! thank you!!!
Looks good!
Thank you!!!!
Well darn, I'm three weeks out from a four month trip from FL to AK pulling a small off road trailer with a F150 with a 1/4 rack on the bed. Thought I covered every base but darn, watching this I'm inspired to get two cases and mount one one on each side of my 1/4 rack. I have a large case on top now that holds all of my tools, etc. Have to ask, other than the cold one and snacks, what do you put in your cases? I'm thinking one would hold fire making stuff and in the other stuff for my dog.
Doooiiittttttt!!!!
Haha, one will be a small kitchen setup and the other is most likely going to be the fold up toilet and toilet accessories for the wife and girls. Or recovery gear, we haven't fully decided yet, but definitely one of those!
Also! That trip sounds amazing!!!
Sweeeeeetness
Thanks bro!!
How storm proof would it be if an F5 tornado showed up at your location?
Ha!
